A new record has been set with over 6,000 Bitcoin ATMs installed worldwide. Everyday, cryptocurrency achieves a unique milestone which further puts it in position for global adoption which is inevitable.
Quite alot but they only reside in a country wherein they are fully accepted and people are pretty much aware of its purpose and function. While here in my country I only knew one certain place, and imagine over 6,000 bitcoin ATMs and we only had 1 of it currently residing in a wide city faraway from my home. Well still good maybe we are still in the process of adopting it little by little.

I have read the report that more than 65% of the 6000 ATMs are installed in the United States and the remaining 20% in Europe, which proves that they are not really popular worldwide. The future for bitcoin adoption globally is still quite remote.

Cool, a quick question? Can you still withdraw cash anonymously in anywhere on these? I mean in Finland just a while ago you could (those were the good days), and now they are implementing kyc on all btc atms because they want to meet the regulations.

Really its good news for all crypto traders and investors may be it will going to part of our lifestyle In coming days and people are looking for that kind environment to use bitcoins ATM with other parts of the world and it will help for bitcoin growth.

But in my country still crypto currencies are not legal to use I hope upcoming days all is going well.

Not only for the holders/ investors, but a good news to everyone of us, as we are rapidly having a mass adoption, and those which we are dreaming of those past years are now little by little becoming a reality, so it is such a great pleasure seeing those achievements being near, so we are all happy for what crypto has been so far, and we know that there's a lot of good news soon.

On the one hand the installation of ATMs is a popularization of bitcoin but on the other hand, I think that the more they are, the more rules and control will be over all the processes associated with this currency and this is often not in people's favor.

I'm happy for this news that bitcoin will be receiving more recognition through bitcoin ATMs. It's an achievement though I'm kinda disappointed that with this over 6,000 bitcoin ATM worldwide, I haven't seen one in person and if I'm not mistaken, there's only 2 ATMs in my country which is the Philippines. Where in fact, Philippines is a crypto-friendly country as well, although cryptocurrency isn't that popular yet, the government don't give strict regulations with bitcoin. And I don't know why there's only few ATMs being launched in my country. And to the fact that those 2 ATMs are quite far from my location, I guess I'll just have to wait until bitcoin will be more recognized and they would install one near my place.

This is a good sign that the demand for cryprocurrency as a means of facilitating financial transactions is on the rise within the global financial community not just the cryptocurrency space. As prices begin to rally, more if such will be built and the crypto-awareness/investment frenzy will kickstart.

Bitcoin ATMs are established by ordinary people who want to earn money on the selling and buying of cryptocurrencies. this does not tell us about the popularity of cryptocurrencies. the authorities of any country can start cleaning these ATMs at any time.

We need more of such ATMs and fewer fees. We'd also need OTP counters to change our fiat into crypto, until that every bitcoin enthusiast and trader should act as a mobile exchange counters to ease up people buying bitcoins. Many people don't have bitcoin as they believe it's a hassle to buy and hold it.

That was another milestone of the cryptocurrency adoption and development! in my country there was only 2 operational cryptocurrency ATM's today one in a hotel and other one was in a Bank headquarters, But there's a lot of store that offering OTC transactions nationwide, I must say that our government recognize cryptocurrency as another revolutionized form of financial system that can drive financial inclusion in my country. I also believe that cryptocurrency can change our whooping $29.1 Billion dollars overseas remittance industry.

As far as I know there is no Bitcoin ATM in my country and in my opinion your government is quite responsive to the development of cryptocurrency. By granting permission for a Bitcoin ATM, this means that the country provides alternatives to its citizens to invest or make transactions as they wish

This is a good development because with the spread of bitcoin ATMs, people will get to know bitcoin better. Many merchants already accept payment using crypto and this is the initial process of crypto adoption. Increasingly in the next few years, crypto is becoming easier to use in many countries
The existence of a bitcoin ATM will certainly greatly facilitate users in making each transaction to buy their digital currency directly on the spot, both for paper money and online wallet. Likewise, if we want to do 2-way transactions, so that in minutes we can sell Bitcoin at the same time get cash in the ATM, but of course, there will be additional costs in the service in the ATM that is greater than we trade in exchanges.

Bitcoin is growing bigger by giving 6000 bitcoin ATMs worldwide. But bitcoin ATMs aren't really spread all over the world. There are some countries that do not provide regulations on bitcoin transactions, many cause pros and cons because of the bitcoin voting value that has a high risk. Maybe in the future there will be new regulations so that bitcoin ATMs can be used evenly throughout the world.

This is very good and interesting news. With the existence of a bitcoin ATM, I hope that ordinary people can be more aware of the crypto world, especially bitcoin itself. And hopefully, they can start investing in it.
In my area, there hasn't been anything like this, so I hope that the adoption of bitcoin as soon as possible can go well. Because we have entered a world that has everything to do with the internet, IoT.

Bitcoin FTW!
Nice and useful improvement.

But I really don't know what Bitcoin ATMs do. Can you sell Bitcoin and get cash for it? If it has such a property, it is truly magnificent.

I hope a few helpful people in the forum can give me some information about it.

Depends what your local Bitcoin ATMs support, but generally you're able to trade Bitcoin to cash and vice-versa with Bitcoin and crypto ATMs. Many of them now require verification (ID, etc) for any sort of transfer, or verification above some certain amount of fiat, though I've found most Bitcoin and crypto ATMs still allow you to transact without verification.

If you're looking for Bitcoin ATMs near you (some support alts too), CoinATMRadar (click for link) has a good map for that, which also shows whether or not the ATMs near you allow only buying or both buying and selling. Fees also vary by ATM, though I believe you're paying a premium over getting your fiat from an exchange in most cases. The majority of 'em are still located in North America with the second most being in Europe at the moment, though we're seeing more of these all over the map in general.

This is great news for the growing adoption of Bitcoin. This would somehow address the lack of access of other people to Bitcoin. More and more demand for Bitcoin must have been the reason why there are additional Bitcoin ATMs installed all over the world. Although I hope these are installed in the most relevant of places to be able serve at the maximum level. There are Bitcoin ATMs that are left almost unused.

Excellent man, very good to hear this, crypto ATMS ive always thought will be a good part of mass adoption one day
Where i live up in Canada we had some of the first ever BTC ATMs, and they seem to have no troubles up here with vandalism, which is nice.
I always thought they were a great way to not worry about kyc, even if alot of them tend to gouge a person on their prices : / lol
Some crypto ATMS charge over 10% on top up here Sad
