Has it really been banned in Hong Kong? But using bitcoins isn't illegal unless all are using it for money laundering and gambling. Bitcoin is much more secure than other currencies.

Banned not banned these countrys are like females just need to make up their mind (...)
are you a sexist asshole? Don't answer that, just remain silent and hold your head in shame.

Hong kong was saying this around the same time last month  Grin

I agree they need to make up their mind shame others do not see that.

It matters not either way to me and my way of life.

By following this logic, fiat should have been banned a long time ago, among other things.

You'd think with the citizens ease to violent protests for a democracy their government would stay off such a topic....
Violent protest? Not exactly accurate reporting there, Walter Kronkite.

Hong Kong was potentially the best place in Asia to start the Bitcoin revolution.
Unfortunately, the MyCoin incident will not help.

Will Bitcoin be banned in Hong-Kong?

A scam happening in fiat does not get fiat banned. its true that bitcoin allows such scams possible, but people should be careful while investing. Its not the currencies fault.

I agree with u mate...It is not the fault of the currency..It is the fault of ppl who fell for it..

MyCoin is 'classic Ponzi scheme' but bitcoin shouldn't be blamed

"There has undoubtedly been confusion in the media amongst the public about the scheme," Arthur told IBTimes UK. "Bitcoin trading was just used as a front for the scheme, when in reality bitcoins were never traded - the investors never held bitcoins or any other investments at all.
