I thought the whole purpose of cryptocurrency was to disrupt centralized monetary. You would expect this is kind of war between governments (which are actually banks & few rich individuals) and cyrptocurrency believers.
I think you all heard that big money owners are betting on bitcoin collapse. This the way they can collect more btc for less. Many exchange is now giving future options is also another reason for price fluctuation. FUD and bad news are still effective method for price reduction; so betting on price drop is safer than price increase.

First of people like you should shut up.
First most of you grieve that you didn't buy btc as an early investor then when price reaches $5k or something that is the time when china banned btc exchanges that time you all say it's over and happy you didn't invest. And finally when it is at $18k you purchase like idiot hoping it would rise but it falls and kind of stables at $13k. And here you are crying because it's getting banned.

Btc was always based on demand even if it get's banned it won't affect the growth at all. Last year also btc had a slow growth in the starting months and alts were getting pumped. Check the history it was first dash then eth and finally ltc. Btc started growing from june - july.
Nothing's wrong with regulation because it was obvious it would occur one day. Regulating ensures that all of a sudden government won't ban the coin.

Bitcoin is Banned in some countries or there are restriction on trading, mining and converting bitcoin into local currency! Will this hamper bitcoin's growth? Also there is an erratic increase and decrease in Bitcoin price! I know its not regulated but why is it that the increase and decrease in prices is too high or too low? Are Altcoins better than Bitcoins or Bitcoin will still be number one since its the pioneer in cryptocurrencies that uses blockchain technology?

I'm a bit concern with this because our local government seems to be looking into bitcoin as well and might try to regulate it in our country!
Government in my country still don't make any regulations for bitcoin, although bitcoin is not banned but isn't accepted yet. It seems that government in my country still considering to accept bitcoin but in the right regulations.

It's a simple case for any government, Though Bitcoin is a decentralized currency so that the government must want to regulate on this system. Every government requires money for maintaining a lot of department that's why they impose a tax. But decentralized currency always avoids this taxing system that's why some countries are trying to regulate on this system. But this thing will be changed in the future.

So? Drugs and hookers are banned in most countries but everyone still likes hookers and blow.

it seems you are not happy with the topic above, but I agree with you, even bitcoin is not bad, does not impact like prostitutes and drugs,

Leave the government alone. They are bullshit. They always try to get hold of everything. They want to control everything. And now that Bitcoin is getting stronger even without their participation, they are trying to discredit it by having it banned. The government is getting really absurd these days. This is not something about Bitcoin or altcoins. This is something about a greedy and authoritarian governments. Their actions will just make Bitcoin stronger in the long run.

Yes, it is true that bitcoin ban in some country like china Bangladesh, Ecuador etc. The  main reason behind is its Decentralized nature. If any thing wrong happen then no one can blame a particular person Embarrassed. And other reason is bitcoin doesn't pay tax because it is an digital currency. So, this thing affects an country economic by both directly and indirectly. Bitcoin provide an uninterrupted ene to end money transaction in which no third party like banks interfere and it can't be trace due to this many antisocial people and terrorist organisation might be use bitcoin Angry. And Bitcoin also use for various criminal purpose like kidnapping, murdering etc. So due to those above reason some government ban bitcoin in their respective country Kiss.

They can try, but their banning efforts will be in vain in a few years.

It is not a simple way to ban bitcoin in all countries because people likes to invest in bitcoin to earn more profits , in some countries for some economical reason not in all countries but some countries legalized bitcoin due to same reason soon bitcoin will consider as a worldwide currency in all countries .

Other countries banned bitcoin because maybe they don't even know the process or maybe the progress of it. As far as I know bitcoin is very successful they give a lot of opportunities to others. People has its own skill but bitcoin hit the multiple intillegencies of individuals and for that they can overcome different emotions of it. If bitcoin will down or banned totally for many countries they also cut the happiness who gain a lot of effort, time and assurance to be wealthy for this kind of investment.

I don't know of any country who banned bitcoin. Even if some countries did, they are only a small and insignificant portion of the world. Regulations will probably come in the near future in many countries, but banning bitcoin completely? Why? I don't see the point in doing so.

As you mentioned that some countries are looking forward to regulating Bitcoin system and they want to impose some restriction on this platform. but I know a couple o countries have taken some steps collecting Bitcoin for their future reserve. so now what do you think...?
It depends on the policy of every government, but one thing you have to consider that Bitcoin is becoming a popular currency day by day and it's getting accepted in many countries as a legal currency.

I see all these bans, but I don't know how they can possible enforce such a thing.  They can ban mining, yes, because it uses lots and lots of electricity.  But cryptos are here to stay.  It reminds me of the MP3 invention.  Remember when all the record companies either tried to kill it or pretend it didn't exist?  Look how that turned out for them Tongue

Good luck banning bitcoin!

stop spreading fud
I even hate them because every issue they spread will affect the market. as JPMorgan did.
The moderator should remove the FUD from the forum.

There is nothing new about bitcoins getting banned. They just have different reasons. The effect on this industry will depend on how influential a country is to bitcoin, the involvement of population and businesses is a major factor of the movement of prices.
FUDs are spread not just because of the news but because of one's understanding about it.
There are just two types of government, a good one that bans bitcoin because they think that there are high risks and just wanted a greater good for his country. On the other hand a bad government who is greedy that bans bitcoin because they do not know how to benefit from it.

Which is why it created to be decentralized for this kind of purpose so matter what happens government could not claim possession or ownership towards it because it is something which cannot be controlled by them because they can't know who is the owners and developers on it. The only way their ban can really be exclusive to us is that if the other companies and firms did not accept the cashing out of bitcoin in our country.

Bitcoin trading and price has been "eratic" for as long as I know. More commonly its called volatility. I think governments might try to control this with regulations and laws, but the train has already left the station. The best they could do is to try and "shepherd" the rules if they want to protect their people. not try to ban it.
