Can someone point me in the direction to learn more of the previous chips?

Project started a year or two ago by @markinaz. The goal was to produce unique BTC themed poker chips/set. The chips would have the date that BTC first reached that chip's price point/denomination ie. $1, 5, 10, 25 etc. At the time the 50k chip was the highest one, now we approach the next level of the set once we break through 100k!

Here are the two threads:
Interest Check
Sales

Hope this helps a bit.

Perfect, that's enough interest.  I will  place the order once we hit 100k.  I will offer in lots of 10 chips for $7 plus shipping of your choice.  I will have 20 lots available (keeping 100 chips for myself and local Arizona buyers) and will post once they arrive (likely with their backlog this might be January).   I will ensure everyone who replied to this post gets a set.

I would like to add the 100k chip as well.

I would like 5 of the new chips - will replace 5 of the smallest denom ones in my box.

Thanks for the input so far!   I reached out to the manufacturer and here is the estimate:

The total cost for 300pcs custom ceramic chips 39mm is USD177.00 including shipping to the USA by UPS.

I will definitely go with the 300 chips, as we need them for the collection!  Hopefully enough people want some to distribute the costs.

When I originally created the first sets, I promised not to mass produce them, so I am not going to re-order any of the other chips... so any new order would be just the 100K (until 250k, that will be the next target!).

The only bad thing is they are booked solid and won't be able to process the order until Dec 15th.  But we should be able to decide on a color scheme and get the order in before any tariffs take place! Smiley

I'm really glad you remembered to update the collection markinaz.
I have several sets of these chips and would like to add the 100k chips to the sets!
I would need at least 12 of them.

As for color, not sure. Are there choices the manufacturer has to select from or is it completely open?
I do not see any industry standard for 100k poker chips.
With so many colors already represented I think some options would be magenta, burgundy/maroon, navy or dark blue, all grey or all black, light blue, light purple?

Honestly I'm not sure on what color is best, curious to hear what others think.

OK, it's time to plan out the 100k Bitcoin Beats Fiat poker chip!

I wanted to see how many people are interested (anyone is welcome to order, even if you don't have the set before).

Here is the original set for reference (note, this has the error date in the image, which was corrected):

Also, any suggestion on the color?

And as last time, I am not doing this for profit, so the chip will be pretty inexpensive, I forget the last set was about 52 cents a chip, but that was a bulk order... So I expect these to cost about $1 each or so (depends on how many people want).

Feel free to reply here, or message me directly!

Here is a pic of the final product:
