I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

yes you can say that Bitcoin is an asset and everyone accepting Bitcoin as an asset only and as the price of Bitcoin is too much unstable show in future we can assume that the price will be again high.. and some acids are also for transaction as like the old coins those are used to be currency once upon a time but if you are going to sell them now they are having a huge price. And also some drug smugglers exchanges gold for those drugs as if they are gonna sell the gold in an unknown place then he will also become anonymous.

Bitcoin is an asset. It’s value comes from it’s scarcity who in turn is derived from the incredible amounts of energy that are required to mine bitcoin.
Bitcoin now consumes about 0.13% of the worlds energy. That is 1 out of 1000 Watts of energy goes to bitcoin.

I consider it, bitcoin is an asset, not a currency, because bitcoin can go up and down abruptly, so if I use it only for the currency it's still a pity .
How can you say Bitcoin isn't a currency when actually it was born at the first to become a currency not an asset. The asset function is just being explored in the nearly time and it's not the main function of Bitcoin.

That is why I feel sad when Bitcoin is recognized as a security and not as an alternative currency. Although of course I am happy whenever I read news that a country is already recognizing Bitcoin legally. It is somehow a mixture of feelings since I wanted to hear Bitcoin recognized as a legal form of currency and not just a legal financial asset or a form of security. But we'll get there very soon. Bitcoin is a currency!

Absolutely Bitcoin is a asset. Which can be spent, which can be exchanged, it is a valuable resource. We break Bitcoin into our own asset and then we are enjoying it, using our daily work and saving for the future. So, everything from consideration to Bitcoin is a asset and we all know it also a currency.

I agree with what OP said, originally bitcoin was created to be a digital money online. But many of the bitcoin holders are investing because of the unstable price so it can double the profits.
Perhaps the state government (South Korea) makes bitcoin as an asset so it’s more valuable and easier to trade, maybe that’s what’s in mind of the state government (South Korea)

Tell me a little? Why do not you think that your Bitcoin is asset? The asset is what we call that we can exchange or deal with money. Bitcoin and we can do so. So, it seems to me that Bitcoin is a asset and currency

Currently with me Bitcoin is the property, not the currency. There are many people who invest in Bitcoin to make a profit. But in my opinion, it will soon become a currency in the future. Bitcoin is the technology of the future, many companies start accepting Bitcoin in payment. That is a good sign that Bitcoin will become a currency.

Most people would say bitcoin is a crypto currency, because I also say it that way, but right now it's with its bitcoin power that has a considerable effect on where the presence of bitcoin has been recognized by the rest of the world, in addition to its level of confidence. in very high bitcoins that cause many people to invest bitcoin. And the strength of bitcoin that can be used as an asset.

I agree, this will have a bad effect on bitcoin.  It must remain a currency.

Yes it should be used as an asset Bitcoin, It is unfortunate if someone has a lot of money to buy Bitcoin dugunakan as a daily necessity transaction. Bitcoin has its excellence in long-term investment. But to do this, it needs to be more stable against other currencies Central bank and government must recognize bitcoin, then can compete with fiat as interconnected

Bitcoin is currently considered an asset mainly for those who make this a good source of income and those who want to become potential crypto investors. Generally still in the form of cryptocurrency used as payment in online transactions adopted by blockchain technology in the future. Cool
