I believe that it does not matter how to name bitcoin, the main thing is that it should bring profit and be convenient for using by a lot of people. But unfortunately, the governments of many countries interfere with this, because they can not control this.

Yes, most of the people are treating it as an asset. This will have to stop soon if bitcoin has to survive forever.

Bitcoin was and will be an asset. This is the first coin that rose to such a cosmic price than gave impetus to the development of the crypto-currency market. Even when it falls in price it remains the main thing.

May the future in South Korea reconsider the relationship and definition of Bitcoin not as an asset, but as a currency? This is certainly a currency. But a very big step is that in such a developed country as South Korea bitcoin is legalized.

Maybe the government see bitcoin as an asset and not generally bitcoin is an asset. I see bitcoin to be a currency and not merely a store of something. We shouldn't get confused with this term. One can made anything at all an asset.

As for me, I strongly believe Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies should be regarded as simply 'Currency'. A currency is a means of exchange just like dollar, pounds or any other entity designated as currency or money.

Personally aside having bitcoin as a cryptocurrency with the divine intent behind most crypto for been able to be transposed into currency which will be widely used but as at now it is in progress, I believe that, declaring bitcoin as an asset within such notable country will spearhead the bitcoin or cryptocurrency agenda to be notably used and enhance it transactions. However, I do trust that having bitcoin becomes ones personal asset and hope it become notably used on large scale to enhance it widely transaction.

intentions behind creation of bitcoin was to create decentralized border less digital currency.  Though people made it as a source of investment.  speculators started playing their games to give the direction to the price of bitcoin.
So instead of becoming a currency it has become an asset,

Bitcoin is an asset for me cause it's so expensive like having gold. Many of the investors now are interested to join in bitcoin. Investing in bitcoin is like an asset in there life.more possible investors will look into the possible investment. Beside, Bitcoin really is an asset, its only how you put in your investment into the market.its good for short term and long term investment, it is just a matter of taking care of your business investment.

Bitcoin is considered as an asset because the value of bitcoin is very expensive now.It is kind of evolution based on what the users want.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/south-korean-supreme-court-rules-bitcoin-asset/

I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

In accounting Assets can be grouped into, Liquid Assets and Non-Liquid Assets. Cash is considered liquid since it is legal tender and can be used to pay debts, I think Bitcoin only fails here because of the meaning that it should be backed by a government in order to be legal tender which contradicts the meaning of Cryptocurrency. Bitcoin fails to become a cash equivalent because of volatility. Right now they are classifying Crypto as an Intangible Asset as it only where it fits for now.

Either once government recognize bitcoin as legal tender or when the market stabilizes and the value can be clearly measured then it will be cash or a cash equivalent. Being defined an asset is a win for crypto now, they are accepting the fact that it has value and I think the next step is to be considered as a cash equivalent and the last step to be finally be synonymous to cash.

Relax, it will be done one step at a time.

Bitcoin will become an intangible asset. Ability to use in payment. Accepted by international organizations and countries!
To achieve that, Bitcoin needs to be more focused and developed

Yes, most of the people treat it as an asset only. The problem with this is that people will spend less of bitcoins thus limiting the flow.
