I'm still waiting for a "Bitcoin For Dummies" book.

We really do not need anything that makes Bitcoin more accessible to politicians.

On another note, I have wanted to take The Free Bitcoin Guide deeper, further and higher.

I like to think of Bitcoin as an emerging fundamanetally disruptive technology which has the potential to revolutionise society, culture and finance to the same degree as the creation of the Internet itself.

Possible contents:

Part 1: What is Bitcoin?

- Introduction: Cryptocurrency explained
- A brief history of Bitcoin
- Economic theories behind Bitcoin
- The money of the future: how Bitcoin changes everything

Part 2: Using Bitcoin

- Getting started
- Obtaining Bitcoin
- Spending Bitcoin
- Mining Bitcoin

Part 3: The Future of Bitcoin

- Bitcoin's Price History and Bitcoin as an investment
- Possible future scenarios for Bitcoin
- What the future of Bitcoin means for you and the wider world

- Glossary
- Appendix

I am more interested in the content for Part's 1 and 3 so maybe I will just start writing anyway (just for fun), it's something I have been thinking about for a while and I love writing Smiley Anyone please PM me (especially remotemass Smiley

At least we have the forum...

He said Bitcoin for Dummies not Bitcoin for Raving Lunatics

An excellent title choice would be Bicoin: The Future of Money. Also, and I've mentioned this before, since Bitcoin has multiple facets to its workings, I suggest the tome should be written in the style of another great 'Bible' book, written on a subject most here are keenly aware of: http://www.amazon.com/Doyle-Brunsons-Super-System-Course/dp/0931444014/ref=sr_1_19?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1357179129&sr=1-19&keywords=doyle+brunson : Different authors on the various aspects of Bitcoin: mining; exchanges; etc.

Yes well I was confused as well to the actual content, as there is PHP on the cover I assumed it was more aimed at coding for BTC applications?

Isn't there already a book called BItcoin: The Future of Money?

Let me guess, he didn't actually use Photoshop, but maybe Paint (or some generic app.)

Who's leading in writing this book so that I can look into their background and start a dialog as to why they're not qualified or, OMG, their ghostwriter has a dubious background.  Grin

What would you see inside?
Does anyone want to draw a skeleton of it, that is, the table of contents?
Anyone?

He is an excellent writter and works for Microsoft.
I really think he would do great, maybe with a team helping him out.
The thing is, we really need such a book Wink

You could write it.

I would pay good money for that.

Why did you choose Petzold? Does he know anything about sound money, or anything at all except programming?
