Hi all,

I had not been on BitBlender for a long time, and I have been trying to connect since yesterday with no luck, anyone knows what is happening?

Thanks!
Bitblender has been shutdown due to the recent happenings around Bestmixer.

Exactly. In fact, if I'm correct it even decreases your security since you add a middle-man (?) Instead to have a green padlock you see a green onion. The only reason a website can start about adding the SSL is to prove the website identity, mainly a company/business or something like that.

Also, I should think any site without the "S" on its url http isn't secured and looks phishing.
With Tor onion links, it isn't necessary for sites to have SSL for it to be secure. Unlike normal HTTP, onion websites eliminates the need for an SSL certificate to validate the identity of the website. In addition, since connections are encrypted from end-to-end, it isn't possible for MITM attacks to be executed either.  It's fairly pointless for onion websites to have ssl certificates at all.

You and the OP don't have the same web address.  Am I the only one noticing it?

The TOR link is the TOR web address from the official Bitblender site. Check it out at least.

I think some need to inform the bitblender about this mistake and I will advice the OP to make use of bitblendervrfkzr.onion with the exclusion of the http.

When you visit the site, you'll see that it hyperlinked to bitblender....onion without the http one, if that really worries you.

Could anybody tell me if http://bitblendervrfkzr.onion is a real mixer site or is it just another scam?  I am assuming that since there is a a campaign going right now for that site, it is a legitimate site.

Yes, that's correct one. You can see it on their info website, link here https://bitblender.io/

Why you ask.

I'm afraid you're right buddy and the last time I checked every other TOR site have the https not the http. I think some need to inform the bitblender about this mistake and I will advice the OP to make use of bitblendervrfkzr.onion with the exclusion of the http.

Don't based your judgement on whether a campaign for the project is running on the forum or not (since the forum doesn't moderate scam or signature campaigns) but judging from no serious scam accusation have been labeled against their mixing service then they must be a legitimate mixing service provider and you're safe to use their service.
