I think bitcoin has been given the gambling industry a new era, its a good solution for the easy deposit and withdrawal, transparency of deposit and withdrawal is very important for all of us and blockchain able to provide that for us, the anonymity of the bitcoin also really help gamblers who want to hide their identity and also make them easy to access the site from all countries, so bitcoin, blockchain and gambling really a perfect combination

Okay I don't agree with this thread at all. Online gambling has been a thing for a long time, long before underage kids discovered crypto dice rolling haha. It's not a miracle nor is the Second Coming for gamblers. I think its only advantage is enabling minors to gamble anonymously from home which is kinda bad and irresponsible in a way. So yeah crypto gambling is not some miraculous breakthrough this thread is making it up to be  Roll Eyes
So in a way, we probably say it is not really a miracle but a problem and in this case I am referring to gambling on the blockchain or its effect on the whole gambling activities.

There is no doubt that bitcoin and blockchain as well as internet which someone rightly said above is a miracle to the world at large in itself but for the ushering in of gambling, it has really created a lot of more irresponsible acts as we get to see minors like you said, who does not even know their left from their right, trying to get rich overnight from gambling. It is that bad!

Yes Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies has made online gambling easier for gamblers than the old online gambling payment methods. people could gamble easily on crypto casinos even from countries where gambling is banned. That's literally an advantage for gamblers.
As much as it made online gambling easier, it also made it a problem as we ended up having more addicts than normal.

Everything is anonymous in this space, and for the fact that blockchain brought that for a lot of gamblers, and those who have only been hearing gambling from afar before, getting to have a taste of it, it ended up brewing more gambling addicts into the community. That is a story for another day anyway.

I really do not see much miracle here, and for the fact that it made online gambling accessible without issues with the bank or government watching over one's shoulder, I really do not see how it has been a good advantage for gamblers. Sorry if I hit someone where it is not so good.
Your point co-align with the sentiment that I have right now regarding cryptogambling and the problems that it provided since its inception. It produced a lot of gamblers with no restriction in age range, for example. I'm speaking based on my experience as I witnessed a 13-year old boy, who learned cryptocurrency (blockchain tech), gamble away his allowance and lost it in just a blink of an eye. He's not ready for this and the mixed emotions that he felt was very evident in his actions. Few months later, I learned that he became addict with it and used his mom's credit card to buy BTC and gamble it in crypto-gambling websites.

We all know that the technology that we have right now in this sphere accompanies pros and cons. The positive and negative side of it should be exposed equally to inform other people who may not know about it.

I'd really like to see some data that support what you're saying. I don't know if there's actually an increase in problem gamblers due to the prevalence of crypto gambling websites.
Not saying that you are wrong, just curious about the actual numbers on that.

What I see are a lot of benefits over regular online gambling.

I think everybody agrees that it's better for the customer (player) to have instant withdraws. That's something you definitely don't see on regular casino websites.
Then there's the whole concept of provably fair gambling, also pretty much unheard of before crypto gambling.

If gambling is banned in a certain country I'm sure they also banned online gambling. If that's the case, then it's not Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that allows these people to gamble, it's VPN. AFAIK, doesn't gambling sites also ban/blacklist users from a country which gambling is illegal? I've read somewhere in the forum about this.

In India the case is different. There is no need for VPN to access online gambling sites from India. According to public gambling act it is subject to state sanction. That is why gambling is allowed in two, three states of India. In fact there is no precise legal framework to regulate online betting in India at the moment. The current gambling act is over 150 years old. So, there is no mention of online gambling.

I was referring to gambling banned countries. In India, millions worth underground illegal gambling is already in place. So, use of cryptocurrency and blockchain opened a new door for gamblers to experience new betting methods rather than the illegal betting methods where match fixing, bullying and cheating usually occur.

Definitely it is a big boon for the gamblers who is very much interested in playing anonymously and we have to agree that the gambling is the biggest pillar of the crypto market and most new people came into the gambling industry since the introduction of the crypto gambling sites.

Bitcoin, blockchain, a technology which is a miracle for the gamblers.
All the people know that from the ancient days gambling has many followers, and still has many followers. during the history, human beings change any case to a fortune to fulfill themselves.
As far as there is a possibility to earn money, gamble and gambling would exist. for a long time gambling was an unreachable dream for the most of the people on earth. until Bitcoin and other crypto currencies were made. not only you don't have to leave your country or house to reach to the luxury casinos to gamble a large amount of money but also by having Bitcoin you don't have to leave your computer.

While its ok yo give credence to what bitcoin and blockchain have been able to achieve, the real acknowledgement should go to the internet because its on internet bitcoin itself thrives. Its on the same internet that allows to do everything you want to do, within the comfort of your room or without leaving your computer without that internet, you will only be stuck with some bunch of hardware that does not add any value.

What bitcoin has made possible is the privacy that comes with it and those country that disallow gambling and people needs to find a way to satisfy their thirst. In countries where gambling is allowed, you can even load your account with your ATM cards or make direct transfer without having to leave your room and your privacy still intact.

Find a secure online casino, send some Bitcoin to your account to win or lose thousands of dollars with a few clicks. this is the miracle of Bitcoin for gamblers, note that you don't have to provide any identifications, of course you must know that those casinos who ask you for identification they are casinos which are supported by the governments, though, those online casinos which support decentralized crypto currencies would never ask you for any identifications, because they respect your privacy.
 to bitcoin and blockchain.

Its pretty much the same for every online gambling even those powered by fiat, its on the basis clicking that you either win or lose so nothing special here. On the identification issue, that is gradually changing because crypto powered gambling sites are not going after the licenses provided by government agencies to legitimise their operations.

Yes, Bitcoin and Blockchain technology is a miracle for so many reasons. It does make it easier for online gamblers to play at various online casinos that accept Bitcoin. It allows players to bypass banks and e-wallet companies that want to control or restrict how you spend your money. One very negative and worrisome aspect of it is that also enables underage persons to gamble, and does nothing to combat the gambling addiction epidemic.

I agree, I have never been able to gamble aside from the sports betting in my country, and sports betting gets really boring after a while. Hence, now that we have bitcoin and crypto gambling (well we had it for a while now, I remember betting on blockchain.info for satoshidice it was built in the wallet so you could one click it) and now we can just gamble whenever we want and whichever game we want and wherever we want.

We also have the right to check the seed, make sure we are not screwed or scammed, we have rights to see the odds and if provably fair and we just have the luxury to be anon while gambling on any game that a regular casino has to offer. It is insanely awesome.

Untrue. Online gambling has been there even before bitcoin and any other crypto currency was created. According to wikipedia, the first online casino was opened back in 1994, bitcoin came out on 2008.

The main advantage of bitcoin and blockchain is that it makes it easy to deposit funds in an online casino. It's also true that it adds anonimity but sometimes there are exception.

I think that gambling on the blockchain is good because games become transparent and honest. If an ordinary online casino can just deceive you, then it will not work with games on the blockchain.
I don't like gambling at all, and I don't think there is honest gambling. there must be cheating in it.

my advice should avoid gambling that will only drain the contents of your wallet.

If you think gambling has been cheated then why bother answering the posts here in gambling discussions? You can't just tell people to avoid gambling, it's there passion for spending their wealth and in fact it's their right on how they will spend their money.

Blockchain technology enables transactions to cost way lesser than generic bank wire.  That's just what looking for gamblers.

This is not the main reason why people choose cryptos for gambling but if I'm correct because of its anonymous nature and from your home or phone you can start gambling within a few minutes without any hard work to set up things. It has provided a more easy and convenient way for people to play these games so gamblers like it more compared to fiat.

I see this is luck after Bitcoin has peaked as it is today and Blockchain technology is starting to rise in this technological progress, so people see it and start using it as any transaction when anonymity is asked in this progress as an advantage for every user and people talk that this is great for securing personal data all the time, all supporting what has happened because of the extraordinary value of Bitcoin that makes it popular now.

i wouldn't call bitcoin "a miracle for the gamblers" specially with your explanation because prior to bitcoin, gamblers still could gamble while sitting at home, win/lose a lot of money and be in a secure online casino with fiat! in case you didn't know the online gambling didn't begin with bitcoin. of course bitcoin provides the additional privacy thing but before bitcoin millions of people were gambling online on a daily basis! and after bitcoin only a small part of them took a look at bitcoin as an option they could use.

Yes, other people make use of what has been created for the moment to be more advanced than the previous year, maintaining privacy is the main thing and the ease of transfering does not matter with deposits without anyone knowing that we are gamblers.
