Now that wikimedia is accepting bitcoins (https://nyc.wikimedia.org/wiki/Donate) can I claim the top rung of the ladder?

Traffic rank 153
http://www.alexa.com/search?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wikimedia.org%2F&r=home_home&p=bigtop
Let me fix that for you real quick:
Now that Wikimedia's New York City chapter is accepting bitcoins (https://nyc.wikimedia.org/wiki/Donate) can I claim the top rung of the ladder?
And: No. You can't.

Here's what it says on their main page (it's a shame you were too eager to claim the bounty): "The Chapter is a separate organization from the Wikimedia Foundation."

Right.  Right.  Makes sense.

The one thing I don't get is why is it a shame that I was too eager in your estimation?  It wouldn't change the fact that this is still the nyc chapter.  So where is the shame in that?

indiegogo.com has a global rank of 8,157 (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/indiegogo.com) and accepts donations at indiegogo.com/commonsense.

I assume only domains owned by whoever accepts donations or sells items count.
If not, then I have two who use twitter/reddit. And those two rank really high (9/114).

I am not convinced that Indie Gogo qualifies  The link you provided is for a particular campaign that included a Bitcoin address in their personal campaign page.  When you try to make a contribution through Indie Gogo, they only accept PayPal or credit cards.  This is akin to someone on eBay accepting Bitcoin in their ad.

As for Reddit and Twitter, your assumption is correct.

That appears to be merely one specific campaign on the indiegogo.com site - not IndieGoGo itself.

Lacie also accepts bitcoin on their wuala service Tongue
Don't even try. The proper site is http://www.alexa.com/search?q=wuala.com.

Also, uploaded.to still doesn't accept bitcoins, they've merely made an announcement stating they will in the future. I think they should be removed from the list for now.

Neither wuala.com nor lacie.com have sufficient Alexa ranking to make the list anymore.

As for uploaded.to, I'm satisfied that they accept Bitcoin.

Try what? I'm not after Bitcoins. Seen me posting any address or asking for it?
You posted the Alexa ranking of Wuala's parent company because you knew it wouldn't make it on the list otherwise. I would call that a try for the bounty.
"Seen me posting any address or asking for it?" holds no water, you could've claimed the bounty later, just like "ineededausername" above.

Why are you so defensive and infuriated? Did I hit a nerve?

And about uploaded.to, yes they do accept bitcoins, just go to their page and try to buy a premium account if you doubt about it.
I see. My apologies.

Okpay was already on the ladder.  Uploaded.to is definitely valid, and is the new No.2!  The bounty was already taken, but I'll be nice and replenish it, myself. =P

What's your Bitcoin address?
Oops! Guess I should have studied that page a bit more. :P
You're so nice, GoWest. You can send the BTC to 13a2dPQP7GKHEPAdKwEMTGiW1Qz4wAYuJJ. :D

I don't think Max Keiser counts, because he doesn't accept Bitcoin anywhere on his site.

Occupy Wall St on the other hand... well, you win!  That's the new No.2.  Gimmee a Bitcoin address.
