Sometime today, Bitcoin broke the $13k barrier and then retreated back to $12.8k.

This is Binance screenshot and now that I'm watching it, seems like it broke $13k almost a day ago.

But I'm not seeing any posts about this on the forum so I'll just post it.
Total market cap also went over $400B which is cool.

Will is stay above $13k this time?

I think a few people are saying it happened because of the PayPal integration of cryptocurrencies but I think it's merely a trend based move which was bound to happen maybe the PayPal thing just acted as an ignition for the same. Now we have entered 13k with some good volume increases. But I expect market to stay around this point for a while because if there is an upward move from here it would be pretty short-lived. But if market stays here for a while and then moves north it will be a more powerful move.
Holy smokes, I think I've slept right through it! Thank god I plan long term, gonna hodl anyway
hahaha, not only you can sleep comfortably at this time...
up to $ 15k, $ 16k, and even $ 20k in the next few days, month or year doesn't seem like a dream anymore. lets HODL until you really make a profit.
Would like to ask the HODL gang how long are you going to HODL btc? I mean are you thinking to HODL it for like next 20-30 years or what? Because anything less than that isn't holding for "long" time.

The high was back in June 2019 and it was $13880 from what I remember.
Nice bounce back from the beginning of this year.

Oh man that's huge. Last time I saw bitcoin over 13k was 2018 I think. After more than 2years it again crossed 13k if I'm not wrong. There were some good news for bitcoin in last couple of days. I hope it crosses 15k in next week or maybe it will create a new ATH !!

I feel like we are getting another ATH again this year probably  $22,000 or $23,000 I really hope it would. People profiting a lot with defi is surely making their move towards this bullish run of bitcoin  Grin However I regret withdrawing my btc in $11.5K range, I got bored though and quite needed it. Anyways there is no wrong timing with investing bitcoin, anytime is a good time entering as long as we hold tightly.

I feel like it will continue going higher. There are too many positive stories right now. Companies are beginning to adopt it as a reserve currency. Some of it's detractors are now some of it's biggest cheerleaders. PayPal and Venmo are integrating it into their service. Schnorr and Taproot, which we've been looking forward too for a few years, has been merged into Bitcoin Core. Due to supply and demand I wouldn't be surprised if we reached a new all time high in the next few months.

I feel like hitting myself in the head with a hammer to think I sold my Bitcoin two days ago at $11,300+ or so, only for it to skyrocket today. Yeah, I know a lot of peeps will say I shouldn't regret selling off that soon but truth remains that it wasn't as if I was pressed for cash for anything at the time I offloaded them. Well, my only consolation is all these now is that this bull run will soon awaken altcoins to join the moon move. So, we are likely to witness an increased market cap again. Ignorant investors will again go crazy for penny priced tokens to chase prize up. This is surely an interesting time in the crypto space. Even Litecoin is beginning to show evidence of price surge too.

Cant' returned time but yeah the consolation is when you make certain investment with alts that you believe to bring great profits, anticipating after this bullish movements is really gives opportunities.

It's not that easy but if you will consider the risk, buying known alts which already have a good community supports and already listed around the top 20 projects might bring something good after missing bitcoin rides.

Bitcoin is on the rise meaning that in this trend it has been able to break the 13k figure in the last few days it is very significant with the increase including ETH which is already at $ 410 is not impossible because there is news about paypal now having launched bitcoin there it can exchange and resell easily but I've never tried it because I just got the news today, so it's probably a factor in the news.
But we will see what market reaction occurs. Perhaps this will remain restrained by a strong analysis of the rising market capitalists?

It is interesting and great to see the price of bitcoin breaking $13000 after such a long time. Although no one can predict accurately what the price of bitcoin will be in the future, one can only hope it will get better.
I checked the price of bitcoin just now and it's only a little less that $13k. It is presently hovering around $12.9k which shows some stability.
I think it will stable at this price for a while before making either of bullish or bearish move, hopefully a bullish move.
Despite the fact that we are still a long way from reaching the highest price bitcoin has ever reached, I believe it's only a matter of time before we get there and even surpass it.

I was playing around with CoinMarketCap’s data earlier today, to see how many times (days) a certain threshold had been surpassed, with disregards to the supporting reasons and trends.

I make it as follows:
Code:
Year      10k     10,5k   11k     11,5k   12k     12,5k   13k     13,5k   14k     14,5k   15k
2020      100     82      57      39      8       1       1       0       0       0       0
2019      86      54      34      24      12      4       3       1       0       0       0
2018      53      46      43      33      20      18      17      16      15      12      9
2017      34      33      32      30      27      26      26      26      26      24      21
- Data as of yesterday, in USD, based on whether the High value equaled or surpassed the threshold value.
- Columns represent the threshold to surpass, rows the year, inner cells the number of days on which the threshold was surpassed.

Too early to tell.

To check latest trends about bitcoin price on this forum, you can go to speculations. Also know that bitcoin is not fallen back to $12000, its price today that has been lowest has never been down to $12800, currently it is at $12945 and possibly could get back to a price above $13000 possibly.

Thanks for noticing. What I meant was in $12k range

Nobody knows what the price of bitcoin could be, but with what I am analyzing, I see bitcoin price not falling for now, only what I am expecting is its price to even rise the more to and price above $15000. Do not get me wrong, this could still take long.
