Using his art is one thing, but why are you signing his name?
His signature is art itself and i'm not signing his name i'm trying transfer it with my own touch to the Dollar in my own artistic way.

That's like cracking some software to use a key which has already been used up and then pointing to the 'unlocked/registered-to' box and saying 'see, its properly registered, its not cracked'--and then selling it to someone.

The first three or four pieces were at least somewhat decent, the earth one was really neat, but beyond that it's like the paint fumes kicked in and you just lost all control.
As you can see i removed the banksy dollars they will be washed of and repainted. I got the message loud and clear people weren't happy with them so there will be no more.

Thanks for the input.

Please post three scans of one of the removed Banksy bills

#1 - As it was painted with Banksy-like imagry.
#2 - The note once it's been washed.
#3 - The new repainted bill.

I'm curious to see how washable your ink is.

Here you go. Still damp i briefly washed the girl off. left the other half alone. I'll paint your name on it later.

I guess no one looked at my link above. These street artists use each other's name all the time in their works, and actually go around trying to redo each other's best art. I am not sure how you can think this is anything different. This would actually be supported by Banksy and other street artists.

I have said no where in my posts that Banksy himself has done the art if that's what your implying.
Thanks

My 4 year old cousin could make these...am I missing something?

It's a great project to do and i'm glad He/She can do it too. Get them some supplies and have some fun painting.

I can imagine selling art that is a straight copy of someone else's work is against the law. Just because you put the art on a dollar bill does not give you the right to profit from it.

Stop trying to profit from Banksy's art.

Technically it is my art...While the Concept of a few of my works are based on Banksy works i Shrank the piece cut it out and painted it. Banksy supports Anti Copyright laws and even suggests using his works for distribution.

I could have taken the lazy way out and Printed the images but put some thought into the laws of Defacing US currency and used my spare time to make it right.

I'm Glad you and others are angry it makes the work more desireable.
Thanks for the CONSTRUCTIVE criticism I honestly appreciate it.

You are literally using Banksy's name on a couple of your works. Good luck.

OP is Edited to show the sales of 5 Dollars.

Still selling and more to come.  Have a suggestion? Post it.

P.S. The first Dollars sold will be marked as Number 1 in a series of not more than 10 each as agreed with the buyer.

So numbers 2-10 of 10 are available upon request.  No more will be painted and each will be numbered to a limit of /10

***Note** Because each piece is hand painted no ONE will be the same.

Thanks

Banksy himself states several artists he 'borrows' ideas and themes from. Besides, this is the same Banksy that tried to steal banksy.com through the courts by trademarking banksy (despite not recognizing the domain had been registered almost a decade before he started calling himself that). I appreciate your defense of the arts, but I think you are a bit misguided here. Still, thank you for your input - I have agreed to purchase 5 of these.
