Yes, awkward is definitely the right word here. As for the real Bitcoin price close to Christmas 2018, I think it can reach 15-20 thousand. Maybe even more.

although on this current price is good enough I think bitcoin still have more potential in the future, many people and company starting to accept bitcoin more and more, so I wish bitcoin will reach atleast double price from this current price at 2018
I have polled for 2000$ and its seems the high as speculated here. I would also go with that and price will be reach to the touch the next peak value. Adoption over bitcoin and block chain technology has been increased in high numbers in this year especially.
It may doubles in this year or later. I will say that you can hold the bitcoins for 5 years atleast from now. You will be a millionaire for sure.

Bitcoin will became 2000 dollars for each bitcoin I'm pretty sure with that coz in coming 2030 blockchain ceo said that bitcoin will be half of million dollars there is big possibilities that 2000 dollars is possible on 2018 Christmas eve or On new year.

To many variables that need to be resolved assuming we just progress normally 2018 by 2018 is easy enough to reach.
The higher end of 3500 to 4000 could also be done if the market does well and problems are resolved.

the moon is also stupid and i go as far as saying $5000 is also. the Japan has created a big market and a massive new demand but apart from that i cannot see a rise that big inside this year.

the journey still pretty far because we even haven't to reach Christmas 2017 yet but on my predictions seems $2000 is reasonable price because i think next year more countries will admit bitcoin as the currency which mean we will see more demand but i wish there will be no more bad news who makes bitcoin price dropped
Seems all want to see bitcoin price rise but me dont want see dump or pump coming in this year maybe if the price keep stable would be nice and in the next year we already have big wall and the price wouldnt easy down.

I think bitcoin price will be at $5000 by Christmas 2018 since,
1. We will see bitcoin adoption in Japan and Russia, in fact lots of merchants ready to accept bitcoin with 3rd party help.
2. I think bitcoin blocksize problem will be solved when SegWit is activated (maybe LN as well).
3. With WW3 possibility and economic problem in few country, people might think Bitcoin as way to secure their money/investment.

I am usually rather pessimistic, but 2018 is pretty far.
The chance is that the block size and transaction speed issues got a good solution until then are big.
Since I am "rather pessimistic" I will not vote "moon", but I certainly expect much more than $2000.

Would be cool to see $5000+ per coin at 2018, because we are going to need some crazy growth if we want to reach 5 figures in the 2020 decades so we need to start hitting new milestones fast, even if there is a crash after that is not a problem as long as the price corrects above.
Ah $5000 value mark? would it be possible next year? well if it goes too well we might get that kind of price and now that japan is taking a step further into bitcoin, and then I see a news that Russia’s Moiseev: Govt Hopes to Legalize Bitcoin in 2018 I think that is a big step ahead for us in 2018 and the $5000 dollar value is not really possible!
Well I was referring on the not possible side, if you had finish what I am trying to say, because I have questioned OP's prediction regarding the $5000 dollar value of bitcoin in his poll, it is very impossible to attain that kind of price regarding the said amount of time, days, or year it is pretty short to speculated something unpredictable like bitcoin,

There will be ups and downs, some major, some minor with the usual dips and spikes, but barring any catastrophic event(s), the general trend seems to be a continuous upwards direction. By that time, the next halving hype talk will start - not that it will be any different from the other halving events. Anyway, I don't need for it to go to the moon by 2018. I'm patient. Slow and steady wins the race.
