don't see it hitting $2k anytime soon. too many hurdles and logistics involved. banks hate bitcoin and we all know who owns the banks...

All are depending in some situation and if bitcoin price would reach for that price i think we will experienced first a global mass adoption,business adoption either online or offline,

But for that to be achieve really hope we cannot see some big obstacles like hacking,bad fuds spreading and etc so that we can see a high leap for the price.

Our beliefs is a must in this so that price will climb and will not fall on some instance.

I no longer think this is possible to hit $2000 as there is so much artificial resistance for bitcoin right now and politics seems to have a hand in this.

I think it will hit $2K during the year but may fall back to $1.7K or so before the end of 2017.

it all depends on "how".
if price goes to $2000 in less than 2-3 months then for sure it will fall back down because of correction. but if we continue seeing the same slow rise as always, there is no way of dropping $300 just because price was $2000!
it can go there slowly with strong buy support and any correction at that point will be less than $50-100

pump that will occur in the future will make bitcoin bitcoin prices to be very high. I am pretty sure that the price will not be much of a price of $ 2,000. it may take time to see it, but this year, bitcoin really had a great opportunity to have a high price.

That looks senseless. He does't need to make Bitcoins grow, he should not ban bitcoin that's all. The ban within his country affects the entire circulation of bitcoin for which I believe Trumps Government surely supports bitcoin. Already technically skilled people are there along with him in his government.

I think every country that will react to bitcoin will automatically affect bitcoin economy, I also think that Trump would rather stand for USD and strengthen it than Bitcoin but will not ban Bitcoin. There is no indication that Trump's government will support Bitcoin, what he intend is to make America great again and bitcoin is out of context there.

Why would President of united states will support bitcoins and not his own currency US dollars. If he really do not support Dollars, it means it will bring a crash in the US economy and therefore he is not insane to do this. Also banning Bitcoin wont help either. Keep both Currencies Side by side.

This is what I think too. $2,000 is a bit far fetched as the rise to $1,100 has just been a bubble and we all saw it burst when everybody just panic sold their bitcoins thinking that it will plummet back to $200. But it seems that we can see $1,500 as this is an achievable levels as bitcoins will steadily reach this level.

When is a hard question to answer. The time could be anywhere from 1 sec to forever! The time it reaches $2,000 should be relevant as this is a very important factor. What if bitcoins rise to $2,000 but inflation has already kicked in for the USD and a $1,000 can only buy an egg. What would be the point of having bitcoins reach $2,000?
