This could happen in coming decades in case we have the same inspiration and adaptation as toady . No one one can imagine 50 years ago that VISA *MasterCard can replace the dollars in daily life uses , so who know it might happen if we get more official adaptation .
And i wish to be there when it comes .

Bitcoin really cant replace fiat because fiat is used all over the world and bitcoin is limited by the use of internet if there is no internet then bitcoin is useless.

Your opinion is nice.. Yeah, without internet, bitcoin would be like another file in the hard disk, but supposed there is no internet, wire transfer of money won't work too or might be very slow as we will be back to post offices..But still, even by that, fiat is still moving..So, really, bitcoin can't replace fiat...

Internet will never disappear, and we have to accept this fact, and in future we will see some more innovative and advanced technologies, but fiat will always exist.

of course fiat will always exist. in question may bitcoin can replace fiat, such as the dollar, the currency used for international transactions, perhaps bitcoin can replace the dollar for it.

Bitcoin is only good for internet transaction and payments while dollar has many uses that bitcoin cant do.

yes so I mean bitcoin could replace the dollar in Internet transactions, as we know, so far the dollar has always been the choice of Internet transactions. so I hope bitcoin could replace it. maybe in the future or the next few years.

I think nowadays yes Bitcoin can't replace fiat because fiat is used already more than bitcoin, but in future we can expect that people will use bitcoin more than fiat

Even bitcoin will give some nice show to us dominating the use of fiat, still it's not a factor for it to replace fiat.

Fiat in some cases also giving us easy transaction especially at door to door option or meetups.

What if you replace credit cards and put bitcoin in them instead? Then you could use that to pay for things instead of the normal fiat currency?

It can't if the government won't adapt/accept bitcoin. There are still many people who thinks that it's been used as a illegal money. I guess bitcoin will just gain popularity.

The government will not accept bitcoin without going in their terms, bitcoin will never replace fiat even bitcoin users still use fiat.
agree with you the government will never accept and adopt bitcoin. although they population are using bitcoin. the government will continue to sustain their currency or fiat.
if in thought again bitcoin impossible to replace fiat, which countries want to remove and replace their currencies with bitcoin?

Bitcoin doesn't have to urgently replace fiat. I think Bitcoin is complimentary to paper money and they could co-exist and synergize each other. Their advantages and disadvantages make them suitable for different purposes. You could always exchange funds from one to the other based on your needs.

bitcoin is not real money but merely a different way of employing existent fiat money, obviously it cannot replace it.

Its really difficult to believe that bitcoin can ever replace bitcoin as fiat is more popular and have more users in compare to bitcoins and fiat will always be widely used.

Fiat has more users? Fiat is used by all people in the world. Bitcoin so far doesn't even have one million users. That's a real difference and to be honest not a fair comparison.

That's what he is trying to say that fiat has more users as it is being used by everyone and bitcoin is a small baby in front of fiat which can be dead at any point of time.

Sure bitcoin can't. Firstly bitcoin need to grow and become popular like dollar. Then need to proof that bitcoin is better then dollar. Same with other fiat.

That comment where "grow" and "popular like the dollar".

That should explain everyone holding bitcoin that it wont. Bitcoin cant and doesnt have that option to begin with.

Should be viewed as something else although we can trade back in fiat doesnt mean its there to replace fiat.

as we know. Popular will not make bitcoin currency become number 1. The government will still prohibit it.
if the large-scale adoption of the world community is it fiat still survive ?
