do either have a future? the fact that gold is aiming at gpu mining maybe makes it a more attractive proposition, but it doesn't have daddy bitmain keeping it alive. hopefully all forks will dwindle to nothing and it'll be nothing more than a worthless phase that's best forgotten.

That fact you stated is what will make BTG more successful than BCH right off the bat. With Bitcoin Cash, there really weren't too many people aware and there weren't a lot of backers. For Gold, however, miners are targeted and that's a major part of the Bitcoin market anyway. Besides both of the coins, Bitcoin will prevail.

Bitcoin cash is going to out perform bitcoin gold as the teams behind bitcoin cash are stronger and more powerfull than that of bitcoin gold. My assumption is that nor of the two can actually Dethroned bitcoin core as bitcoin has a strong foundation and people look at the splitting coins as altcoins.

Which of these two is going to fetch higher prices? What do you guys think?
BCC has failed to get high enough to be called a real contender. Will the new one beat it and get closer to dethroning the king?
Its hard to say,Bitcoin Gold hasn't been out yet on exchanges and stuff, but this time people will know what can happen when a fork takes place and maybe just maybe they might support bitcoin gold or they will dump it real soon. Bitcoin cash was supported by bitmain ,now bitcoin gold will have some one who supports it. I like bitcoin cash when most of the people thought that it would not even cross a mere 10$, well it increased more than anyone would have dreamt of!! But anyhow I would like to know what bitcoin gold has got it and is it really worth it,or is it just a waste of time.

Seems in this conversation, bitcoin gold more lively than BCH. For me, both have the same good potential and profitable. Which is important we are keen to see the moment, when to buy and when to sell.

I'll choose bitcoin gold, this is because I think bitcoin cash fails to meet the great expectations of users who think at least can be or equal to bitcoin prices, I can not wait to invest bitcoin gold and in the beginning usually cheap price then a month will increase.

it will be depend on how whales and big players support one of them, both  can be possibly become another shit alts with no support and no value but if
traders and whales work with it then its another set of story to happen, I still believe that bitcoin will never be replaced and this two coin coming from btc
wouldn't affect anything.

Bitcoin cash is already dead. With the bitcoin gold coming to the market it could have a higher value than bcc in a few years time. Bitcoin gold can be mined and that is an option bcc doesn't have. Bitcoin will always remain at the top no matter how many forks arrive.

I wouldn’t count on BCG answering your prayers cause it will just happen like BCC and end up just like another shitcoin.
I do not really see it amounting to anything much and it is not even getting as much recognition as BCC had which probably will even make it much shitty. Our main concentration should even be more on core and segwit2x.

Bitcoin gold is relatively new in this race hence we cannot expect it to beat bitcoin cash for time being. But the trend does not need to be same all the times.

Both are Asicboost capable mate, do you know who is earning 90% of all the coins by mining with the use of Asicboost? manufacturers like Bitmain

And other manufacturers, you have Bitcoin undiscovered why explore other coins which are driven by greed? I accept any fork from Bitcoin with open

Arms, I will sell them when they open trade, I would never invest because others are telling me.

Bit early to say that bitcoin cash failed isn't it? Or do you mean failed to be number 1 crypto instantly? Number 4 on marketcap is pretty huge or at least respectable.

I don't know much about bitcoin gold but I think its value proposition is not as strong as bitcoin cash. Bitcoin gold is just another segwit coin with a new mining algo. Bitcoin cash is a different breed entirely, snubbing the offchain route in order to scale onchain. Long term I like bitcoin cash better.
It failed to achieve significant prices, so it's not popular among investors. Market cap doesn't mean a thing because it has been airdropped to the users of the most popular cryptocoin and not all of them even redeemed their coins. For instance unused addresses, like Satoshi's, got their equivalent in BCC that never reached exchanges and most likely never will. If every BCC owner were to redeem it the price would be much lower than it is.

Significant prices? It reached half a bitcoin... I get that it's on constrained supply but still, at what level do you consider it significant?
Half a Bitcoin? When? Are we even talking about the same currency or maybe you have trouble reading the charts?
It's highest price ever was around 0.28BTC That's less than a third of a bitcoin! Now it's at its lows of 0.06. A coin that can't even reach 10% of Bitcoin in value with similar supply can't really be called significant when compared to it.

I got some BitcoinCash (BCH) after the August fork and now am expecting to get some also after the coming scheduled hard fork hitting us for another split making the birth of Bitcoin Gold possible. I love the name Bitcoin Gold but it never negated the fact that it would also just be another altcoin like BCH and there is a possibility that it can be suffering the same fate.

However, I always believe that in the sea of many coins and tokens we have, there is always a big space for a new altcoin but of course, nobody can guarantee of its success. At the end of the day, it will always be Bitcoin which is the first and the original to be bringing home the bacon for all of us.

Now am wondering: Is Bitcoin Gold worthy to hodl or should we just sell them immediately for Bitcoin?

I think bitcoin will still be the highest contender, it hasbeen establish and have settled ib its price support, and traders now are prepared on how to deal with hardforks unlike what happend in bch its full of uncertainties but now they are prepared thus its price will never be high as bch reached

I'll still stick with the original bitcoin. The only good thing is that it can be mined with GPU computers as opposed to Bitcoin Cash which the Chinese still monopolize. So Bitcoin Gold  can keep the mining process more decentralized. However, the new network doesn't have protection for replay attack. So that's a lot of doubt around Bitcoin Gold is they will be successful in the future. So not to make things complicated on my end, I will just stick to bitcoin until I see either one of the two gain traction from the community(which I doubt). Let's see how will this evolved when everything settles after Oct. 25.

I guess it’s more of bitcoin gold because the bitcoin cash was not improving since the day it was introduce in the market, anyway either of the two their mother which is bitcoin will surely remain on the top, they might appreciate but not high enough to supersede bitcoin.
I personally have no experience of bitcoin cash therefore I cannot say anything so sure about it, but still my own opinion is that bitcoin is the best and it will remain as on top for ever, no bitcoin cash or bitcoin gold or any other crypto currency can take its place, and hope that it will remain as number one for a long long time.

I think BTC Gold can be a good alternative, it should be a good decentralised new coin

And I'm sure btc gold will be better than btc cash which is now the price keeps going down, many people speculate that bitcoin cash will reach at least 0.5 btc but after reaching the highest price of 0.32 btc the price drop and now only about 0.075 btc.

Both of them are just imitations of the bitcoin. For me the question is more like "btcalternativeshitcoin or another btcalternativeshitcoin?". That is how I see it and it is just people who are desperate to make money by taking advantage of the name of btc.
