I have updated Kickstarter with the first page of the comic. It starts on September 15, 2008, when Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy.

You just need to click on the link in my first post and then go to the updates tab. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

What format are your digital comic copies normally?

Its either cbz/cbr, pdf or epub. I don't think there is a significant diff when it comes to quality so the best course would be to offer an option for users to pick which format they want. My personal preference would be cbz tho!

How much of the comic do you think I should release, i was thinking a couple of pages.

Just enough to capture your readers. Maybe try picking an interesting scene?

Can/should I put it on here, the instructions contain images. Would love for people to go over it and give me feedback. Thanks

You can but Infographics tends to occupy so much space in threads, I would advice you to just paste the direct links here.

and I see you're not getting many responses, try moving your thread to Project Development

Thanks Indamuck, very much appreciate the feedback.

I do have a monotone voice so a youtube video might not be the best for me.

Do you think it is a good idea to show the front cover. The cover hasnt been created yet but it is something i could organise.

Thanks

Your much more likely to get contributions if you make youtube videos.  People love someone that is charming and someone that they can relate to.  Depending on how charismatic you are it will help a lot.  I agree with making some prototypes beforehand as well so people know exactly what they are investing in.  Also maybe try contacting some Crypto giants like John Mcafee or Roger Ver to help with funding.

I have yet to update any info on Kickstarter.

I do have a bunch of instructions that I want to include in the Bitcoin Comic to help people with the following:

Create and backup a Bitcoin wallet.
How to verify a signed message.
How to sign a message.

I also have an explanation of how the hard copies of the Bitcoin Comic will utilise Bitcoins blockchain for Proof of Ownership.

Can/should I put it on here, the instructions contain images. Would love for people to go over it and give me feedback. Thanks

I was planning on only making 21 physical copies and releasing the rest as digital copies.
Do you think people would prefer a physical copy rather than digital?

In my case, I prefer digital most of the time 'cause its cheaper, easier to store and you can get it instantly. I rarely buy the physical copy of a series which I haven't read, it is mostly those which gained a soft spot in my heart.

I am not an illustrator. I have paid a guy to draw the first 2 pages that should be completed in the next 4 days. I will add them to this post once received.

A teaser is definitely needed, provide as much info as possible of what can we expect, particularly on the physical copy like the dimensions, hard or softbound, etc..
Also, you may wanna make your KS page more catchy in the eye by adding images, but yeahh that would cost more money  Cry

I was going to try a bit of an experiment by linking the physical copies to Bitcoins blockchain (still working on it).

crowdfunding would be needed to covr the cost of publishing (printing) thousands of copies. yet people like to see a prototype/design first

it might be worth you creating just the front page of the comic to show example of graphic quality and expectation of content

Hi everyone,

I have just launched a crowd funding project on kickstarter.

The funding is to help me create a Bitcoin Comic. The plan is to create 21 Volumes starting from just before the launch of Bitcoins white paper to now.

Every volume will have 21 pages and I will release 21 hard copies (unlimited digital copies). I would love to have some guru's here to check out the first volume when it gets released and give me loads of feedback to improve on the next volume, hopefully making each one better than the previous.

I am also going to try an experiment of attaching each hard copy to Bitcoins blockchain. I will need help with this. Once I have all the info together I will put it on here and hopefully get lots of feedback. The plan I have in my head I know is not bulletproof but maybe it will spark some ideas for people much smarter than me to streamline it and make it bulletproof.

Project has moved from Kickstarter to a way better platform, BTCPay Server crowdfunding app (no middleman).
