Why are people only seeing charts from 2 weeks in the past? Have you forgotten that price of BTC in 2017 was barely touching $10k?
We had amazing price climb, from couple thousands to over $20k and then the market dipped and a natural correction happened.
For now, the price is not rising because people are still scared of news from China and South Korea but we still have a price much higher than we had in 2017...
I think because they buy bitcoins at high prices, bought in 2 weeks ago before the price crashes and chaos happens, of course they will see from side when they buy it, if they buy at low price, for example when they buy bitcoin when price is under $9k, of course they will not be too concerned about the current price now, and they will still be patient because they have not lost anything, I bought bitcoin at the price of $15k a few days ago and I am very messed up, I know that the price is down because of the correction and panic because of the news ban from some asia countries, but these losses really make me fucked up, I start to think when the price will go back up, when will it end ?

I believe that this is not the end of bitcoin, because it will recover, they were looking for a timing to increase again the value. Moreover this coin have a lot of supporters so it is impossible to crash it down totally.
Otherwise bitcoin is fall down their value now but don't worries it will increase so just hold your amount in your wallet.

Honestly, the end of this drop is near. Although the price is volatile, but there is little progress in value (in the last days there is a rise by more than 4%) and  the price become $ 11K. As well, I think that this crash is necessary to resolve large problems in this currency, especially before the rise in the number of users cryptocurrencies.

On the other hand, for me, some problems have been fixed in this period like, the transaction fees which became $ 0.5 in Blockchain at  this day. Furthermore, it's expected that the price will be 25K in the near future ( may be after 2 weeks) . And hopefully that Bitcoin will back strongly.

in my opinion bitcoin price will recover in the next month. there is no problem as long as bitcoin value not goes down more than 50 % we should not panic, eventhough we don't know when the price wlll recovered maybe sooner or later, we only can wait and see what will happen tomorrow.

Let's hope for any early recovery of the bitcoin price as this time bitcoin has dipped beyond the imagination as we thought it will go down to 15k mark and will shoot back again but unfortunately it was more of surprise for us but we strongly believe it will be back to the 15k+ club sooner.

It is only a surprise for noobs. If you look at the market from an unbiased perspective, and put aside your bullish personality, it only makes sense for the market to correct after such a massive increase. It's not that this happened for the first time -- every massive increase in this market was followed by a steep correction, and history in this case keeps repeating itself. It makes sense as well, because you can't expect from people to endlessly keep holding their coins -- we have to accept that a lot people are only interested in Bitcoin as an investment option. Another repeating aspect is that these price swings never have affected the long term price. Smiley

Bitcoin is not crushing and bitcoin will not end. Price can up or down. It's the basic rules of crypto currency. Price down not means crushing. Bitcoin price grow up again and as soon as bitcoin get better position.

we all definitely expect the best bitcoin price for now and the future, although now the price is always declining because of the unstable bitcoin price makes the bitcoin price up and down. We do not need to panic and immediately sell bitcoin at a time like this, because as we know the price of bitcoin after the decline will rise and the price is higher.

I think you don't know about Bitcoin as well. Bitcoin is not crashing now. It is on correction and in a little dip. As price is not fixed, it can be up or down any time. It is not panic time but it is time for buying and holding because price will be growing up soon.

This time last year the price was just $1000.
To be even more precise, we have been moving at sub $900 levels before the end of January of last year. It took a month or 4 before the market really started to take off, and we might be up for a similar ride.

Similar in the way that we'll be growing, and not similar in terms of the percentage gains that we booked last year. I don't think we'll ever be able to repeat this again, and we don't have to.

I always prefer a more steady and sustainable growth over a crazy unsustainable bull run, basically like what we experienced last year. If we this year end up settling above $20,000 without lightning network, it's a pretty good achievement.
Well, we cannot control the price of bitcoin, as we are just one part of it, too many newbies were trying to just trade at daily trading, and most of us here don't want to lose even for a single bit so whenever they are seeing the price of bitcoin going down, they are immediately withdrawing their investment without thinking how much they really lose after making a panic selling, well, they don't owe everything to us so it was just their strategy.

It went from $10,000 to $19,400 too fast, breaking out of it's channel and going up practically verticallu. It was unsustainable.

The current price range ($10,000 - $13,000) is where we should be, and we're going to range trade for a few months. This time last year the price was just $1000.

see topic, gimme some of your opinions

There isn't any crash in here, the price is not crashing, it is only having a little dip.

Tell me, do you really think that just a dip of 15% is a crash? if you think so, then the best thing that you can do is just search by yourself what is a real "crash".

Good luck with your "crash" lmao..

Maybe not a crash, but it is not fair to call -15% a "little dip" as well. In any other market, people would go crazy if the prices went down by that much. Especially if you take a look at the last month, when the price was around $20K and now it's around $10K, I think you could call a 50% decrease a crash.

I think the reason for pushing away the fear of 15% as a crash is giving the high volatile rate of the talked about coin - bitcoin.

Yes, for other markets , 15% might be very huge but bitcoin can cover even 50% lost in a day.

Morewhile, as to dipping from $20,000 , I'm not surprised because the bullish then was not supported by any thing, no news. Nothing at all led to the bull run other than, it was Christmas season for the Christians. So the dip is normal.

It will end when the dip ceases and whales stop trying  to sell. it will end when the countries, agencies and institutions who want in on bitcoin but want to speak evil of it first.
It will stop soon.

for new comers I bet they are all panicking cause they are still new to this and they have no idea what they got into
the price still way ahead what it was 4 months ago , you can't consider this a crash since there is no market that keeps climbing without a dip
in general we reached a strong support level , so the price shouldn't go much lower from this point
personally I think the price will stay at the 9-12K range for few weeks before it starts to rise again

I think will be around 7k at the end of January.
9-12k will be on march.  Why? I THINK lot of speculation this months (from october to these days). Its time to go down some weeks

Yup I think BTC will be around at $8000-$7000 for 2 or 3 months. This year is a big correction for the bubble, like 2014... and years of halving the bitcoin will rise and bubble again and make all time high price, like always.
With a big crash on $3000. But I just speculation

The markets are not ran by the traders anymore, but by the exchange owners. Completely manipulated markets with price fixes, buy all orders, and Tether pumps. Just watch Bitfinex's BTC/USDT pair and see for yourself. Bitfinex and Tether is running the biggest scam Bitcoin has ever seen. It's all going to come crashing down whenever they are ready to exit.

All bitcoin needs is another fork. Post BCash fork every time there has been news of a fork the price has exploded as people want to get free money. I remember my finger trembling as I purchased some BTC back at $1800 before the Bcash fork thinking 'this could be the end of bitcoin'. After a while you just get numb to the bad news and get addicted to the good news/fork news.
