It's just same when you use it, why should people use over debit card ?

For me, it's risky because crypto still consider as volatile currency.
And second, it's difficult to find the bank that ready to co-operate with crypto because of it's decentralized

You don't need to generalize. Some of the Asian-based banks are issuing debit cards that can be loaded with BTC or BCH. Wagecan is an example, and I think they are based in Taiwan. On top of that some of the European banks also ship their debit cards to Asia.

Give us names then.

Wagecan don't offer cards any more that I can find, though they may still service existing cards. They also cost about $200 to buy and took one week to load with funds. That's not my idea of a good time.

LOL!
Logically a huge number of posters should be from Asia. Asia where Wirex doesn't work. Asia where US cards also don't work. Asia where TenX has some chances to get to if they'd advance in what they're claiming to be doing (they'll cover APAC soonTM)

For a decent length of time Wavecrest cards served most of the world's population but I guess newcomers won't be familiar with them since they're dead and gone. There was Wagecan too who didn't seem to give a shit where you are, but they seem to have gone quiet.

Revolut have definitely done something because people keep mentioning them here no matter how many times they're told it's not very crypto ish at all. Ah well. If they wish to waste their time who am I to stop them?

I have one in my pants that works right now- Wirex.

Revolut only allows Bitcoin price exposure. And only if you pay for their premium account and there's no way of telling whether they have any actual coins. You can't deposit or withdraw. You get an IOU to cash in.

This thread is fucking weird. There have been cards everywhere for years yet many are talking like it's a far off prospect. Are most the posters stuck in some sort of time loop?

Revolut seems to have good marketing or something. Everybody knows about them, although not sure what they do Smiley I couldn't even find clear info if they launched their Asia operations or they will do it soonTM Smiley
When most cards were down, one could withdraw from Bitstamp to Revolut and say "hey, I have a Bitcoin-friendly card" (which is not Bitcoin card, I know, but still useful).
Since then there started to come out stories with Revolut freezing accounts randomly and ask very strict KYC data in order to access the money, so I expect they'll lose the Bitcoin community as soon as more Bitcoin card providers show up.
However, until then Revolut may still be an option for some. (I've used it lately since it's cheaper than Wirex and the conversion rates to my local currency are also good.).

Do you think that bitcoin debit card link to our bitcoin online wallet will be implemented or is it possible to happen in the future? After all, we still want some improvement and some option for us to pay in some grocery stores or department stores that accepting cards right? And do you think this is helpful?

It will downgrade the easyness of bitcoin itself.
It should be just an app and scan with QR code to do some transaction and stored in a cloud servers so it will be more easier and more practical

Someone can show me a real working card that works with Bitcoin?  Maybe Revolut?

right now there are many startup that use the debit card by using the cryptocurrency, you can start to browsing about it, as i know that there are many startup that try to develop this, i think in the future we will see this
Maybe there are other company now trying to integrate crypto in a atm card or debit card but mind you that its process is very complicated and it even worsen when two system were opposite to each other. Cryptocurrency is a decentralized system while we are using fiat money that centralized in form. Though I still believe that there coulf be a way because we know we are digital now.

I think BitPay already has this? They have a wallet that you can create and then transfer the money from your wallet to your debit card in a click of a button.

Having a bitcoin debit card wouldnt be necessary. We need codes like QR, bar etc or bitcoin address to transact and doesnt need anything but that. Besides, having card means a third party would be involved and im sure KYC which we dont want will occupy this cards. We can still have paperless and cardless transaction through crypto.

Yeah, no need to have a bitcoin debit card. Anyway, when a certain shop accepts bitcoin, you can just directly send money from your wallet. At least no third party company is controlling your account. So I believe, there's no need for this.

From my perspective as we are seeing during current days more and more technology solutions are poping out of older ideas.
These ideas will make it possible for new implementations into our real world thus as bitcoin debit cards which were spoken already few months ago.
If this idea gets huged in more companies i do believe it will be accepted more quickly and used anywhere in any kind of payment system.

The bitcoin debit card will be a much needed
development to facilitate currency trading but the important question
What will you do with a third party controlling your currencies?

What you want is a payment processor, the most infamous being Bitpay, that bridges bitcoin into usd. They already provide credit cards and debit cards are just a variant of the same (and handled by the same companies anyway).

I don't like them because their fees are outrageous, PLUS the payment processor. Instead a direct bitcoin payment would take just like 3 cents, or even less with Lightning.

You can "fill" a credit card by putting money in when it has no debt, and in fact you can enlarge its "limit". Doesn't matter if they issue a card with 1USD limit you can pay "in advance" a 100$ and that becomes your temporary "limit". So called "prepaid".

Unfortunately those who handle such cards are very hostile to Bitcoin, there are still intermediaries making money because of that.

In the end everyone benefits by kicking them all. Buyer and Seller should transact directly.

Monaco looks like a very attractive option right now, as the fee is quite low.And as far as I know, they allow deposits in BTC and ETH, in addition to Monaco. And the KYC requirements are also not that invasive. (This card is not available for residents of the United States).

Even though I want it to happen I am not really sure if I would use it.
I think it is best for me to keep my Bitcoin on my wallet and only Cash out what I needed .
I like to plan on where I should spend my money and sometimes if I know that I could get cash instantly with my crypto I would overspent my money way out of my plan.
