You can’t kill what won’t stay down Wink
Too many uninformed people have too much to say about bitcoin. Most of the time it is boomers, people in high power in government office or legacy financial positions. They are proved wrong time & time again. Bitcoin is going nowhere.

It is death call from community, social media and mostly from Bitcoin haters.

438 times were called as dead according to 99bitcoins.com. Fortunately, Bitcoin is not a weak asset to die because of death calls. It is a volatile asset but not a weak one. History proves its survival and in the article The bullish case for Bitcoin by Vijay, you see Lindy effect was mentioned. It is naturally and organically increasing support for Bitcoin. After 11 years, we have a strong Bitcoin; next 10 years, we will have much stronger Bitcoin; next 20 years, slap yourself if anyone call Bitcoin might be dead.

It's interesting that there's a metric for this, and that the number is lower than in 2017. That being said, I found the chart of declarations because I wanted to see how it all went in the previous years.
The chart itself isn't very helpful in terms of numbers of deaths, but there's a list below it that shows numbers of deaths every year since 2010. It's not surprising that there weren't many of deaths prior to 2017 because way fewer people were aware of and concerned with Bitcoin in general. But it's worth mentioning that the number of deaths in 2021 is also 3 times as high as in 2020, and 10% higher than in 2019.

According to a Cointelegraph article, Bitcoin has been declared dead 45 times in 2021.

The article states:

Incepted in 2010, 99Bitcoins’ Bitcoin Obituaries list has English-language statements, including content about the fact that Bitcoin “is or will be worthless.” To qualify an obituary, the content should be produced by a person with a “notable following or a site with substantial traffic.”

The number of bitcoin obituaries is significantly less than in 2017, according to the article, when there were 124. While the number has fallen, influential people and publications continue to make these predictions.
