I think that no other currency can replace bitcoin or swing it from the first place. Too much popularity. All the same bitcoin is the first crypto currency. Also, a large capitalization and a large price for this currency do not give a chance to others

With the current status of things, I believe bitcoin will continue to be dominant over all other coins for a very long time. Most of those that ventured into cryptocurrency did it because of bitcoin. This is the reason bitcoin has a very high market cap.
Ethereum is the second best coin and it's not even up to a thousand dollar while the price of bitcoin is over $10000. That is very large difference and will take a lot of effort and time on the part of Ethereum to fill this gap.
If it will take Ethereum all these to achieve what bitcoin has achieved, I doubt if litecoin even has a chance to beat bitcoin.

LOL. Dream on man, hahahaha. Sure, Litecoin is really a great altcoin and really does have a great concept together with its hard working and skilled developers, I'll give it that. But the thing is, bitcoin's is just too big for litecoin to even get close at. And we all know how far litecoin is from bitcoin in terms of popularity. Heck, I don't even think that litecoin will be able to catch up to ethereum, let alone bitcoin. Just try to ask random people what crypto currency pulled them in to the crypto world. The number of answers you will get might be enough to wake you up. lol.

Yes it is and that will be happen forever the progress is still there and it will continue for a life time. The cryptocurrencies equivalent is still in progress to keep in the high percentage because bitcoin now a days is in demand and the people wanted to hit the highest percentage of bitcoin has. Bitcoin is really known all over the world.

Bitcoin perform such great things from the past years until what it is now. Bitcoin dominance in the market place couldn't replaceable. Only bitcoin can do what it's full role in the crypto world. This is what I think, without bitcoin then we couldn't see anything altcoins now in market. Even bitcoin will come up to its very very very low price it will not end and not die in the market. It will rise and back again to do more improvements and much better approach in the next step to reach another victory and fully success in crypto.
No surprise - it is the most hyped and orignal currency in crypto ecosystem. It has such great reputiation, that no other crypto can surpass it at the moment.

I will not be surprise if bitcoin will continue its dominance in the market. But i am very shock on what you've said that litecoin can replace bitcoin. For me your statement is non sense. Your litecoin can never replace bitcoin.
Bitcoins dominance continues to rise as the rise in amount of newly propagaying ICOs that provide their own take on the cryptocurrenciesalso propagates a lasting disappointing image on the altcoin industry. People are now switching to bitcoins mostly because it is more stable in value than a lot of altcoins in existence. Moreover, without butcoins you cannot convert your bitcoin to conventional money. So these are my assumptions on the topic.

Yeah ICO has basically destroy the image of altcoins and people are now mostly interested in Bitcoins. Bitcoins dominance clearly shows this trend now. I think there are some very good altcoins too like NEO which have great potential but people are showing faith in bitcoin only at this moment. Also they have rejected the hardforks of BTC and stick only with real Bitcoin.
Some cryptocurrencies are ready to dislodge bitcoin as the top coin in the crypto market and all of this pretender to the throne coins are also in the top five of the coinmarketcap. But bitcoin grip to the No.1 position is still firm and it might take more years before it finally give way to another coin. Bitcoin domination may later strengthens if its adoption to the mainstream will become successful.
Well, I don't think litecoin would ever possibly cross bitcoin. As we know, bitcoin is the most known cryptocurrency with the highest value. Most people come to know about other cryptocurrencies through bitcoin as well. It has a huge popularity which is pretty hard to beat. There are a lot of people who just invest in bitcoin and the number of people investing in altcoins such as litecoin is lower. So, I don't think bitcoin would ever lose it's dominance.
I am still going to support bitcoin to the very end. But sometimes I should be realistic rather than optimistic. Many governments are fighting against bitcoin and they want to get rid of all the cryptocurrencies because they are threat to it. I think that bitcoin's era will get to an end, but not now.

With the current market, Bitcoin will continue to dominate and on top of the Crypto chart. Alot of people coming into the market only know about Bitcoin and will always go for it before starting to learn of the other Altcoins available. Also, Bitcoin has attained some degree of acceptability as a means of exchange in some online stores. No coin for now will replace it.

Litecoin is just an altcoin and i would not be worry about it, the best is alwayse bitcoin better to keep your bitcoin safe , it could be that bitcoin in 2018 will hit new record price!It is hardly possible now to call Litecoin "just an altcoin". Litecoin showed a 60% increase in the rate recently, and during the year it grew by 7000%, and this is the most noticeable growth rate of all altcoins. Litecoin has a strong reputation, the cryptonomete is considered more reliable in comparison with other crypto currencies, because many developers work on it. Wow how did you come up with such idea? I know Facebook is interested in crypto but they are thinking about creating their own token if I'm not mistaken, so why are you saying that they will buy litecoin? Right now bitcoin dominance is increasing and I think it will continue to increase at least until it reaches 45% or 50% again. People were all around ICOS and altcoins, but now they know that some projects are simply not worth it, and will go back to the most stable ones, like bitcoin, and ethereum, etc.

i doubt that, coins that are not just pure waste of ressources, like denta coin but that are meant to support people and family business will likle be more significant in the future
I also think that BTC is now a rising stage. In the next few months, the price of BTC is likely to exceed the previous level. Look forward to it.
