Capital not only out of BTC as in 2011 but actually big part of it IN competitive coins...
Interesting times ahead...

Some people are not running to fiat...yes times have changed.

"Printed" money is actually debt and must be repaid with interest.  You realize that right?

Not if the loans get extended ad infinitum and requested interest is lower than the true inflation rate ...

Except those transfers that take about 45 minutes less , that's kind of a nice feature. It isn't close to SR in terms of total numbers of sales but comparative to where SR was at in the same amount of time it is doing better. Albeit, it came out after SR made that type of website popular, but Facebook came out after Myspace and look how that turned out.

I really don't understand the comparisons of Litecoin to silver, they aren't even apples to oranges. It is more like apples to EVE isk.

Seriously, there are no significant distinctions between the two currencies. The only real difference is the network effect(it is money because people say it is etc.). Bitcoin has the crowd and Litecoin doesn't, simple as that.

Silver is an entirely different element with different properties! It has industrial purposes! How does that mean Litecoin has a place with bitcoin!?

Unless Litecoin corners some market where it can be used instead of bitcoin it will never become valuable. We are still in the infancy of cryptocurrency so who knows what the future holds. If some large online business or social group decide to use only litecoin then it becomes established as an asset.

maybe you've heard of Atlantis? If not,

the more you know...

I have heard of Atlantis and that's a good start. I am not sure how large of a market it is. If it was there would have been a huge rise in the price of LTC.

Due to popular demand Atlantis had to add Bitcoin as a payment option. Litecoin doesn't offer anything unless you're a miner who loves the smell of burning GPUs or you hold a load of LTC .

This often happens when Bitcoin is not doing well, Litecoins value will never stray to far from Bitcoins.

I have to agree with you somewhat. Unless Litecoin corners some market where it can be used instead of bitcoin it will never become valuable. We are still in the infancy of cryptocurrency so who knows what the future holds. If some large online business or social group decide to use only litecoin then it becomes established as an asset.

As for the other alt coins, they seem to be more of a pump and dump scheme.
