Appreciate your work, the equipments you had mentioned in auctions are very sophisticated, for instances.... USB mining sticks, as you know their is no guarantee that these are brand new or worn out devices, however wishing you the best of luck !!

This is true but usb Mining sticks turned out to be a total waste of money right?

I think each ebay auction varies.

you should always look at the obvious things though, like the feedback score and the reviews left by other people who have bought that item. Theres not much you can do either if people screw you on ebay, but usually ebay will refund. not sure about the unqiue incident above mentioned.

I wouldnt recommend any ebay purchases.

theres some incidents where most people buy specific miners, and they end up getting a usb stick instead w. a delivery confirmation.

Which forces more stress to call in ebay rep for dispute, and if you dont have enough proof you lose or the case closes.

eg: You were promised 2 units, instead you only got 1

That's an obvious exaggeration...

What you said applies to all online purchases not just ebay.

There are great deals to be made on ebay.

Watch out! The first one is 99% a scam. That seller (yaslulin) has several titan and sp31 listings, all insisting payment in btc. I checked his feedbacks and it's very suspicious. He got feedbacks from sellers who sell used paper clips for 1 cent and such. Typical method for building fake reputation.

I see huge number of bids on his listings, it seems someone gets scammed soon if not already Sad
Btw his prices are too good to be true...

Already taken down.

I wasn't even able to see the prices.

Not sure why you're posting links to eBay miners as that would fall into the sub-forum "Computer hardware"

As I understand it this thread is not for miners only.

It's for everything bitcoin related found on ebay.

I'm looking for miners and that's why I posted miners and because I'm sorry to see this thread fall into the oblivion.

I found it to be an interesting thread.

Post any items related to bitcoin.

Let's keep this thread alive.

Sorry to hear that.

Can you post more details?

I'll remove the links from my posts so that nobody else can fall for this.

I hope this bad apple doesn't spoil the whole barrel.

I would proceed cautiously on the three SP20 Ebay auctions mentioned. There is a guy over in the hardware section lamenting what he views as fraudulent sale. The items that concern me when looking at the listing:

- Listed on the Canadian Ebay, but miners are in France?
- This is a "Private" listing? I have traded on Ebay for years and never experienced that.
- The miners were in Israel DC, but are now in France?

Personally I wouldn't use BTC for this Ebay purchase, PayPal only. I think it unwise to stray too far from the Ebay guidelines with a purchase like this. BTC and such are just too big a risk for me.

What's going on is I bought all 3 from him, paying with Bitcoin. I paid him on Friday, and haven't heard from him since 30 minutes ago. He's ignoring my questions about when he'll ship them to me, so I put a max bid of $5000 on each. He told me before I paid that he only has those 3 units to sell, so I saw no harm in bidding on them while I waited for a reply from him. He just got back to me, asking why I bid them up to ridiculous prices and deleted my bids. He still in ignoring me after I told him why I did, and I'm seriously starting to think I'm being scammed. I'm not sure what I should do, or really what I can do. Guess I'll wait some more. Worse case I'll need to do some detective work and book a flight to Paris. Always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower.
