Bitcoin has paved the way for Ethereum speedy approval, so I don't see Ethereum having any delays when it reaches it's deadline in May, it has the potentials of getting it's ETF without further delays. I think that the outcome of Bitcoin ETF can play a major role when it's the turn of Ethereum ETF, it's success will have a positive impact on the side of the US SEC, to approve for Ethereum, without any delays. Big names like blackrock, are already in line for Ethereum, so I'm quite positive that Ethereum don't need to go through the rigors of Bitcoin before getting the green light.
And ethereum ETF is inevitable, however I am not so sure that it is going to happen so soon, I would think the SEC will like some time to see what is the evolution of the bitcoin ETF and see if everything is right, and for that they need time, so they may try to buy some time with that excuse, besides ethereum has an image problem due to all the scam coins that are released each year over their network, so I could see the SEC being more reticent about approving an ETH ETF.

As we all know, the Bitcoin ETF is already approved. So, do you think the next ETF for Ethereum will be approved as well? Many companies, including BlackRock, have filled the Ethereum ETF as well. I believe the line is already clear to approve the Ethereum ETF since the SEC gave green light to the Bitcoin ETF. We have noticed significant price movements on Ethereum since Bitcoin EFT was approved. I don't see any reason not to approve the Ethereum ETF as well. The deadline is May for the Ethereum ETF. We have to wait for that. What's your thoughts about Ethereum ETF?

Truly, there have been fiings for Ethereum ETF last year as well and since Bitcoin ETF has been approved, it will pave an easier way for Ethereum. Ethereum which has more scalability and utility just like other traded securities should be passed speedily and successfully and approved. The time of approval is still somewhat far, so let's see the drama the SEC and the market would do before then. But nothing can be as shaky as that of Bitcoin, Bitcoin shuck the entire cryptocurrency market with this ETF of a thing and I am glad that it eventually ended in celebration. Others shouldn't have issues with approval, especially those with good projects and popularity like Ethereum.

Guess events will happen based on how the Bitcoin ETF will go.

My opinion is Ethereum pumped so well because now that the Bitcoin ETF is approved, every body thinks the Ethereum ETF will get an approval too and therefore a CRAP LOAD of money will flow to Ethereum too.

Keep in mind that an ETF will as far as I know not do any good to Ethereum or Bitcoin directly.

In fact it has a capability of doing more wrong than good in my opinion.  It serves as a way for the average person to lazily 'purchase' Bitcoin which puts actually owning Bitcoin the real way as a second option on the list.  Of course some body with little knowledge will reach their hands toward a more comfortable and 'legitimate' way first than go through the hurdle of learning how Bitcoin actually works.

Then you wonder of what help is it to have the Ethereum ETF if none of the buyers is actually owning the real deal and the money flow does not directly impact the price and implicitly the Market Cap of Ethereum either.

But at the end of the day to each their own.  How many people own Gold shares versus how many people truly own Gold?  I some times wish there was no share to buy and only the real thing.  There would be less people owning Gold but all of the buyers would be real owners.  Same thing goes with Bitcoin or Ethereum ETF.  I will be happy when there will be a way for the regular person to buy the REAL Cryptocurrency and help its adoption.

After the approval of Bitcoin ETFs, Bitcoin did not pump as much as Ethereum did. I agree that the path of Ethereum ETF getting approved is very likely now and so was the reason for it getting pumped. Investors are expecting its approval anytime now and after 2022 yesterday was the biggest spike in ETH price. There are in total 5 institutions that have filed for Ethereum ETF to the SEC. I do not think that ETH ETF will happen by this year, but the situation can change.

Yes, it is possible that Ethereum ETFs may be approved in the future as Bitcoin ETFs are approved. The approval of the Bitcoin ETF could serve as a precedent for other altcoins to follow suit and seek approval for their own ETF. This could open up new investment opportunities for a wide range of cryptocurrencies, giving investors more options to diversify their portfolios beyond Bitcoin. However, the launch of the Spot Ethereum ETF in 2024 will give investors additional opportunities to invest in Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. ETF development can increase trust and confidence in the market, potentially expanding Ethereum's accessibility to a wider set of investors.

I think that it will take time, I've just realized that it was since 2013 when the first Bitcoin ETF was filed and then series of came on 2017 and so those rejections that came from there was modified to these recent Bitcoin spot efs that have been approved. Is there anyone knows if there was an ETH ETF that was/were filed before? If so, there's a chance that it has already been modified if it were rejected before but I can't remember if there's one so it's likely the first time, right?
As things are happening most chances we will have no late tactics in ETH ETF case because now people's in power they can't resist against this all, and now it's better time to have things on positive way so now after Bitcoin ETF most chances we will have more good news for the crypto community and with this all most wanted figure can also touch bitcoin because this is big breakthrough for this community and peoples related to this business.

While I was searching for few things I have this article which is clearly saying now in coming months we will have ETH ETF which can bring big boom even may be this all trap, but now things are not stoppable.

It can be a trap and a drop or some blessing in the future. But we're still quite far from going into it. As for now, we're good with the BTC spot ETF and we've already seen the effect of it with the market, it's always like that Bitcoin is bringing up the entire market and everything follows.
While some speculators think that these altcoins can bring themselves up not knowing that it's Btc that's always the initiator and indicator of this market.

If you notice the reaction of Ethereum in the wake of the ETF approval, I mean like 2 days to it, it was much and the market was on the bullish side. I believe this happened because the market saw the green light of the Bitcoin ETF approval even before it happened and this is good news for Ethereum since it is also a very good project and second to Bitcoin itself. At the time, there was nothing stopping it from being excited as it is almost certain that it would be approved already.

This cannot be ignored because they also understand that the crypto market is not only about bitcoin, and as a matter of necessity, the journey to acceptance will have many challenges and I think the simplest thing is that they will still mine ETH's past stories to refuse, but in the end it will still be accepted because of the response. The journey of paving the way for the bitcoin ETF is bringing many opportunities to propose other altcoins approved for ETF. I have heard somewhere the story of XRP, SOL, LTC,... and even DOGE, but maybe all stop more speculation. And in the top altcoin, ETH still shows the capacity it creates, ignoring technological limitations, its appeal is gradually becoming more similar to bitcoin when people see it as a small investment risky in the crypto environment (except Bitcoin).

I'm sure the Ethereum ETF will be approved as well as the Bitcoin ETF. it's just a matter of time. why is that? just look at the traffic of ethereum itself. until now there is still nothing that can shift its position under bitcoin. although as we know to use the ethereum chain requires a Gas fee which is quite expensive. and many altcoins are competing to overcome this. many crypto investors are very trusting and do not want to release ETH.

I believe it will be just matter of time before the Ethereum ETF gets approved as well. If there is an important price movement and a considerable volume within the market for the Bitcoin EFT, then people in charge of regulations will realize there is an actually big interest by investors and traders to get their hands on the Eth EFT as well.
The increase in the price of ETH is obviously due to the speculation that this will be the case, though I am not sure for how long the increase of the price can be sustained if the deadline for the EFT for Ethereum is still so far away into the year.

I am personally concerned on the implications for the long term price of Bitcoin, rather than the short term pump this approval could cause on the price, I am sure most of the long time holders think in this same way.

I would see it getting more support than bitcoin, especially if it scales. PoW is just harder to sell. But i see a lot of issues with it. Bitcoin as a pure currency is an easier concept to explain and adopt than explaining smart contracts, why L2s exist and why wallets are getting hacked left and right and why cross bridges are dangerous.

In short: i would trust bitcoin to my 80 year old mom, but i wouldn't let her use a metamask. She would totally didn't understand where it's safe to connect and where it's currently connected. Also explaining dexes to her would be near impossible. And she would lose everything if she ever needed to use it.

There's a good chance of an Ethereum ETF, but I think it'll be a slippery slope: from the ICO frauds of the past, Ethereum Foundation/Consensys dumping ETH pretty much every few months, etc.

The market seems to be expecting an Ethereum ETF though; but you know what's hilarious? If Litecoin gets an ETF instead of Ethereum lmao.

What you are saying about the ETH etf is still vague; why do you think it will be so easy to get the etf you are talking about approved? If Bitcoin took a few years to become the top-ranking crypto in the market, it could still be ETH, etc.

What will happen is more experimental, as if they are testing the water first, there will be many more processes to go through before that is approved.
