I just tried Coin Based. Did two exchanges with them and overall liked the process. The only downside is that it took a week for each transaction. Is that a normal time of turn around? Are any of the other exchanges faster than that?

If you are from the US, you can use Gemini, it is 12th largest volume exchange now. It is regulated, so your money is safe there.

No serious trader will join Gemini due to their low volumes. Their 30 day volume is a disappointing BTC12,800.

It is the 12th largest volume exchange now. Give it time, it will grow. The cryptsy just closed, it is not regulated.

No need to see the thread also. If you are from Europe just go and kick with coin base or kraken. Both very good  in online transactions. Choose any one of it. Else if you wanna exchange your bitcoin to fiat. Just check in local bitcoins.com there you can find a fine traders

you need to add to that list the fact that coinbase, is  connected to IRS, maybe for someone this a good thing, but not certainly for me, i don't want to be tracked for every movements

also they require id for every sum

be careful with alot of those exchanges on that list. Go to the search at the top and search each one
1 by 1 and find posts with peoples comments to find the safest / best one. Dont just deposit to one of
these randoms.

No worries dude. Just use localbitcoins.com to exchange your bitcoin into fiat cash. It is very convenient for all the people. It is not that difficult to use as well. Just you need to find good trader according their trust, feedback of them and Reviews. There is escrow system in localbitcoins. So no need to worry at all. While you releasing bitcoin.

It's the main thread here with listed the main exchanges.

But like to read the user reviews here. Many new exchanges listed here are just exchanges waiting to run a way with your money.

You should try paxful... I heard that they're pretty good, for buying BTC.

I have tired to purchase the bitcoin the transaction was cancelled. I didn't receive the bitcoin my money was taken off the card. When I called the card issuer they said it went to a mobile device. The seller hasn't returned my messages. I feel this best Exchange around us.

i am using coinbase and the transaction is surprising fast, almost immediate if you transfer your money from bank to coinbase. however the bad thing is that you can change back to $$(maybe there is a way but i cant find it) and the exchange rate is quite bad.
What is their exchange rate from bitcoin back to fiat? I always wondered about it as I imagined it would be quite high. I am not in the states so I could not try and see what it would be.

I would try either kraken or bitstamp. Both have a solid reputation and are serious players in the exchange world.

They both require ID verification for withdrawing larger amounts though, so if you have a problem with that, localbitcoins is probably your only option.

Yeah even I am localbitcoins.com Only for exchanging my bitcoins to fiat. In that traders are very convenient to the users. Escrow system is very fine in between the transaction. We can find the traders in any country to sell or buy.
