You own the pen
I remember this was back then another way to make a decent amount of bitcoins even the task was just easy and lots of it are paying well because they can also get some money with your help by letting you do some tasks that are paid by advertisers. As of now, there are only a handful of these methods to make Bitcoin legit because they cannot make money anymore using faucets and other stuff related to it are all expired or outdated but I believe there are some out there who are still continuing to make it work by giving you little amount of prize in the form of bitcoins. Just like what the OP has shared with us and obviously, I am one of its supporters.

Therefore, you will find most of these faucets, either they steal your data, they are fraud, or the revenue from them is not enough to buy you cups of coffee.

Either of the two is very possible. Either you are scammed or escape being scammed but you just get megre amount of ridiculous satoshi. I read OP in one of the requirements to get the faucet btc withdrawn to your personal wallet as 1btc. How easy can this be? 1 btc is $30k and someone dreaming not to be frustrated out of getting it. I have tried faucet in the past and yes it is quite frustrating even if you are playing the faucet from a scam free website or app.

If you have to solve a lot of Captchas for some tiny amount of sats, you might be solving proxied Captchas for something else and you're paid for that stupid "work" a miniscule "salary". Think about it, nobody in the Internet has money or coins of value to give away for free. You either pay with your data, your behavior or by clicks on ads, solving stupid Captchas and whatnot.

Claiming faucets these days should be a school lab experiment for kids. It's not something to be claimed by regular bitcoin users.
The current price of bitcoin is so high that claiming faucets to collect a decent amount for withdrawal will take a huge amount of time.
It's not worth to spend that much time on faucets and there are other better options to work on to collect BTC.

yes the value of Bitcoin that will be obtained may be too small. even then it would just be frustrating over a long period of time to collect from the foucet.
but after all it's free, there will always be newbies willing to try it even though it's likely they'll never get to the point of withdrawing their Bitcoin foucet.
maybe nowadays more newbies are interested in trading, investing and mining than foucet.

Newbies can earn Bitcoin through faucets for free and even though it will take a lot of time before someone have the required amount needed to withdraw and at the same time, it will test their patience if they really are interested in learning about bitcoin and other related information about it. I still access my account on freebitco.in for faucets. I already know that it will take a lot of time gather enough satoshi because it's not everyday that we can get free BTC.

I'm surprised that a topic like this gets some merit.
Have you ever thought about how much time these people will lose sitting at the computer and solving the captcha, waiting for the little things? With this wasted time, how much knowledge could they gain by using it correctly? What kind of patience are we talking about? The fact that a person is lazy and stupidly staring at the monitor, wanting some free money, proves that he is unlikely to be able to do something big and will continue to vegetate, content with such earnings.

This isn't even viable anymore — you solve so many captchas then after a while, you just have enough for the transaction fee. Even cutting your neighbor's lawn to be able to afford a small amount of BTC is a far more viable option than this one.
I am feeling lucky that I have few good and positive suggestions in my early days because few days back I was also thinking to start earning from faucet but after reading few posts and now having this last, but most authentic feedback about faucets now change my mind and trying to have any other method instead of going with this most dubious method which is just waste of time nothing else.

Hopefully I will find something positive and better which will help me to have my earning from bitcoin in near future because now I am going for this and have mindset to take my savings into bitcoin.

Tip: You don't need to earn bitcoin directly. You could just earn your local currency through whatever job/gig/business instead then just use that money to buy bitcoin.

Faucets are a just a waste of time honestly, unless you claim one every now and then and try to gamble it to earn more.

Casinos with free faucets were more useful back in the day. Even then, you had to play many times and rarely had a big win.. it’s so much more worth it to try to grow a Bitcointalk account instead and monetize it through sig campaigns. Or do anything else you can get paid for but don’t waste time on faucets, it’s really not worth it..

The Legend site number 2 that you mean by FreeBitcoin.io is bullshit. Who can get 1 Bitcoin from a Faucet when they are only given a few SATs. how many decades did it take?
~snip~

You're repeating what OP wrote without reading other posts where you can see that the withdrawal threshold is much lower - although that doesn't mean it's a legitimate faucet. In addition, everyone who comments on faucets without even knowing how they work today gives the wrong information, especially when it comes to fees and dust transactions.

Most of the faucets are concentrated around one known microwallet and every reward that someone earns goes to that wallet, and when you accumulate a certain amount you can send it to your wallet.

...there used to be a faucet that gave 6 Bitcoins, really shocking, wish i knew of that earlier.

There was no such faucet, you don't pay attention to details because it was a faucet who paid 5 BTC per claim and didn't work for a long time. Besides, most people have a completely wrong idea about how much the value of 5 BTC was then, so I wonder why people complain so much because they didn't know about this or some other faucets before?

If we take the average value of a claim on a faucet 5 or 10 years ago, it is actually very similar to that of today if we talk about the value expressed in fiat currencies. Faucets always paid small amounts in $, but because of the low price of BTC and large numbers it seemed that you were getting more.

Wow, it turns out there are a lot of good responses from members on this topic. Really appreciate your feedback, there are also those who provide references for legit bitcoin faucets, and there are also those who provide previous experiences that are very impressed, such as; there used to be a faucet that gave 6 Bitcoins, really shocking, wish i knew of that earlier.

Sorry can't reply one by one

The Legend site number 2 that you mean by FreeBitcoin.io is bullshit. Who can get 1 Bitcoin from a Faucet when they are only given a few SATs. how many decades did it take? if you want to earn extra you have to buy extra rolls and it is a profitable business, hoping to get 1 Bitcoin but instead users have to spend extra money and it will definitely be wasted. Leave the useless Faucet, trade, do profitable business.

I hope this article was not written by artificial intelligence or I copied it from somewhere, but in general you should pass on your experience with these faucets.
Personally, since I started, I have not been a fan of these faucets. Every way to make a free profit without effort or specialized skills from an individual is either stealing your data, it is fraud, or its return is simple. Therefore, you will find most of these faucets, either they steal your data, they are fraud, or the revenue from them is not enough to buy you cups of coffee.

Use some of them and give your personal experience after a week of experimentation, then the results from this topic will be more useful.

I remember registering with FreeBitco.in but I don't know why?

If you've got too many spare time doing, that's not a problem. What you get is what you get for free and that's it.
I don't because I only open the faucet when I visit the forum like a spare minute to open the account and then leave. It is free as you have said and I understand why the amount what people can get are very small is because it is free or you only have to complete the captcha which is very easy. I don't think that they will give decent amount of BTC per spin and I know that you know why they give free btc.
If there are things for free, expect that they're not that much like this in faucet. And with that spare time you're spending on it, it's already good than to have nothing each visit you do.

I don't know collecting bitcoin faucet still worth it now. I have never tried bitcoin faucet recently,
It is not worth it anymore if you know other sources that you can make. I haven't tried it since a few years ago but I'd say that it's smaller amounts than before because of the price of bitcoin now.

but 6-7 years ago bitcoin faucet was one of the hyped option for collecting free bitcoin.
I won't say that it's like a hype but it's known and popular mostly for the starters and it's good to remember those times.

But now I don't think anyone should spend their time on collecting free bitcoin faucet because the amount is too low for the time you spent completing the task.
It's okay if someone still goes in faucets, no one can stop anyone from visiting faucets website and claim those free sats.

There was a time when there were so many bitcoin faucets prior to the 2017 bull market. But once the bitcoin prices begin to increase and people realize that bitcoin is real money, all those faucets dried up and stopped their services. The ones left today give you too much less satoshi that they are not worth to even trying and waste our time.

These days some gambling sites may give you free satoshi through Faucet to try their gambling experience, thats the only positive use left for the faucet in today's era.

The oldies might say that faucets are a waste of time but this is a good way for the newbies to understand the concept of it. They'll get free very tiny amounts of bitcoin for the time that they'll allocate on it, when we say very tiny as in that's the description.
Many of the old forum users have been into faucets and it's like giving them nostalgic moments on how they've started to know more about Bitcoin and how their plans and dreams started from using it. Good thing that these faucets are still existing because it gives the experience of owning Bitcoin regardless of the amount you'll get there.

Yes, it's for free, that's the drawback of it while able to earn certain very little on it. It's also like the opening a lot of ideas and knowledge like the pandora's box for someone who's new to it. Various search will come out eventually and that's thanks to the initiative for starting it out with bitcoin faucets.

I already know that it will take a lot of time gather enough satoshi because it's not everyday that we can get free BTC.

The era of faucets has passed; they used to be a great starting point for newbies to collect some petty, in terms of value, amounts of BTC in order to introduce them to Bitcoin. However, most faucets have stopped operating, and those that still do are paying a mere amount of satoshis that can be counted with the fingers of your one hand. It's not worth your time; it never was, but at least in the past, you could easily accumulate a relatively decent sum of Bitcoin.

Captchas and microtasking such as PTC advertisements or faucets are a complete waste of time. There's also a decent chance that you'll never reach the minimum payout, and even if we suppose that you do, you'll lose most of your earnings to transaction fees.

LMAO.. funny human  Grin I never knew you had a good sense of humour  too.
But why should any sane person think of micro earnings as an easier way to HODL BTC dude? Alright, Op.. how much do you spend on cellular data subscriptions daily, weekly, or monthly?? Can you make a quick analysis? Then, compare the value of those mini, worthless takens you're normally awarded,..does it commensurate? Are you actually gaining or running ads for free?...hehe.
