Impossible in that short time!  That is what i can say.  It needs a huge capitalization. I think it would be at $50k ranges.  I believe $1M bitcoin is insane and even if the price of bitcoin is unpredictable, in just a short period of time, I strongly believe Bitcoin will never reach that price in 10 years time.  Though I would be glad if I am wrong in my point of view though.
I agree with this, bitcoin is growing and in ten years the growth it is going to continue but to think it is going to reach 1 million dollars for bitcoin is to not have our feet on the ground, we will need that almost all the economy of the world to begin moving in bitcoin or we are going to need a severe economic crisis that creates huge inflation at that point 1 million dollars will not be much money, and neither scenario seems that likely.

Today, during 1 day Bitcoin has 6% increase, from 8200 to 8700  Cheesy

Though this is not an indicator, but I was expecting this from day to day.

Is it possible that in ten years bitcoin worth 1 million $?Of course it is possible, but in my opinion it is difficult to achieve that goal.To achieve this, there should be a steady growth of 50%+ over the next 10 years, which certainly is not impossible if we take into account this year's level of growth.
If you look into the top of the chart, you will see the annual growth mentioned there:
2012 -  694%
2013  - 446%
2014  - 339%
and so on.

- so far growth is much more that 50% a year.

1 year ago price was about $1k - which means 8x (!) increase over a single last year  Wink

This is true,BTC price increase is incredible over the years, and this year is really great. The question is whether such growth can continue in the next ten years, because in that case we will reach 1 million $ long before the period of ten years.I just gave an example what price will be if we have only 50% increase every year. But we do not know how hard/easy will be to go from 10k$ to 100k$,high price will probably bring a slower growth.

Well if you look at it, it's not impossible. Day by day we see more businesses that implement bitcoin and more people investing and getting into bitcoin. When I got into bitcoin and started learning and earning it, I knew 1 person that actually knew what btc is and today every other person knows what it is and a few that started mining btc with alts and investing in it. I wouldn't say 1mil but somewhat close to that but certainly over $500k for sure. And when bitcoin get's to the price of over $20k we might see some of the biggest investors out there, we can see taht rise even today.

In my opinion this won't ever happen. Fees will become too high and who could possible invest in bitcoin at that price?
Lets say someone want to invest in bitcoin 1000$. With million $$ price investor will get 0.001BTC and will pay 500$ fees for next transaction.
It is easiest example why bitcoin can't reach million dollars.
There will be definetely bitcoin  network scalability improvements on the way. Next year a lightning integration is planning.  As mentioned on their web site :

Scalability. Capable of millions to billions of transactions per second across the network. Capacity blows away legacy payment rails by many orders of magnitude. Attaching payment per action/click is now possible without custodians.

Low Cost. By transacting and settling off-blockchain, the Lightning Network allows for exceptionally low fees, which allows for emerging use cases such as instant micropayments.

Chart from 2014, when Bitcoin was $300, predicted price of $10k for today — Nov 22nd, 2017.

We're at $8,200.  (If we add Bitcoin Cash and Gold prices, we'll get close to $10k).

Next milestone on chart: $100k in summer 2021.   And next: $1M in 2027.

Yes it is not impossible that the bitcoin will take that rate , I support it .

Right now we're very small in number compared to that of the paper money usage. In an approximation we might be contributing around 1% of the world population. By now we've got to be over $8000 and when the user community increases, then surely we'll surely reach $1m.

So if we end this year with 10 000$ price and try to calculate that price increase 50% for next ten years we get this numbers:

2017. 10 000$

2018. 15 000$
2019. 22 500$
2020. 33 750$ (halving)
2021. 50 625$
2022. 75 937$
2023. 113 905$
2024. 170 857$(halving)
2025. 256 185$
2026. 384 427$
2027. 576 640$

2028. 864 960$(halving)

It would be wonderful if half of these speculations become a reality,I personally aim at 100k per BTC and I am hope to see that price in next 5 years Smiley

There has been a significant increase in the market value of Bitcoin since 2014 and speculating that Bitcoin value will reach  $1 million for just 1 Bitcoin by 2027 is a possibility that may happen. Although I believe the speculation should be put in probability on whether it will come to fulfilment or not and i strongly believe that Bitcoin market value Will increase significantly but not to the turn of  $1 million by 2027.

I think it is too fast for Bitcoin to reach those heights. 1 million dollar is a serious value and going there in just ten years seems to be too good to be true. I admit that I want Bitcoin to reach that, however, it seems dangerous for Bitcoin to pump that fast. A slow and steady growth is still beneficial for Bitcoin.

There has been no slow and steadily growth until now, but was very fast , on the contrary:). And there is no sign of calming down, especially with Increasing adoptance by financial institutions .

These predictions are really making me cringe. $1,000,000 for ten years why not? I will be one of the richest person in my family and this is going to be enough for the rest of my life. And by that time I'm quite older and have a family to feed still I'm waiting for this to come. I want it and if possible let it make earlier, make it happen as soon as possible.

I can't actually believe this, where did you get this chart from?
I ran into this chart in 2014 post of one of crypto specialists from Adamant Research financial company (they specialize in bitcoin and blochchain investments), and found it very interesting.   Roll Eyes

That guy said he had taken the chart from reddit.   This is all I know  Smiley

Here we go again.
Predictions are coming and people are saying "No, it will not happeen!" Then suddenly look at where we are now.
They will say it is impossible and yet why are we seeing this expensive price.
I dont agree much with all of this but somehow I changed. Although 1 million is far away, why not? It could happen because unlike fiat, this item is so rear and will be more extinct someday.

I can't actually believe this, where did you get this chart from? Never actually read charts, but this chart here makes a lot of difference to all who are planning to get into Bitcoins or those who even have them, I don't even know if this is pure luck he had or this guy actually got some kind of vision. I am really sure most of the people will want to hold onto this coin and see it up and up we go.
