When I was new to this forum, I had wanted an app version of the forum. I also wanted to witness the new forum software because the graphics of this forum seems echaic to me. But with time, I understood the reason why some things are not changed and why they remain they way they are.

I am used to this forum such that I will not consider to download any application into my phone or computer in order to be here.

I really doubt you can make it unless theymos cooperate with you, especially when POST/GETing data to and from bitcointalk servers. Although it's possible only for WebView, but that won't work in App Store. Well, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Hello! I want to develop a mobile application Bitcoin forum app store. What do you think?
I don't know what to think when I never saw how your app would work and look, but in theory this could be more interesting for young people who prefer to use mobile devices instead of computers.
Problem I have with any bitcointalk app like this is login system and data collection that could reduce privacy and potentially hack users.
We can talk more about this when I see first version of app released, until then it's all one big speculation.

Hello! I want to develop a mobile application Bitcoin forum app store. What do you think?
This would be a good idea if you can do it on your own without the help of external persons with the source code that you needed.
Having an application for Bitcointalk would be a good idea but I think for that to happen, Theymos would be in the right position to provide us with an application for us to use which would not be easily manipulated. Looking at it from another angle, I don't think a software application is that important for us since most of us are already good and familiar with using browser to get things done with ease.

I would love to test your app out, as you mentioned it will be open source and specifically for the Apple Store.
Very risky business you would be engaged in. Risky in the form that you are risking losing access to your Bitcointalk account. Would you know how to verify the code of such an open-source app and understand what it's doing? Like many of us, I assume the answer to that question is negative.

Many users are pointing out the fact that your app might be vulnerable, as many users of this forum fear a backdoor that could lead hackers into their smartphones. But as you are saying, the app will be open source, so I think it won't be an issue for the members once the app gets approved by some of the high-class members of this forum.
Not just a high-class member. With high-class, I assume you mean high rank and recognizable name. Let's say I fit that category. Still, you shouldn't take my word for it because it means nothing as I have no coding skills and can't read and comprehend lines of code. The same goes for many other high-rank users. But some can, irrespective of their rank. It's those people who would need to check the app thoroughly and post their thoughts and recommendations.

Guys, don't worry:

1) I want to develop a mobile application with open-source code for the Apple Store.
2) I want to find a team of developers.

So you are trying to make a frontend for bitcointalk for mobile apps?

There needs to be some precautions taken. First, Bitcointalk has got limited server resources and people are going to abuse these and get your backend IP addresses banned if you don't put some rate limiting of your own.

Second, you gotta convert the HTML you receive from Bitcointalk to something more machine-readable. Maybe cache them to your own servers indefinitely if they are older than 5 minutes (maybe you can refresh said cache every 6 months or something).

Hello! I want to develop a mobile application Bitcoin forum app store. What do you think?
Almost this type of suggestion was brought up years ago by the forum member and the decision of most users of this forum is that there's no need for any sort of application (especially mobile) to access the forum since HTML5 has made the website more mobile-friendly than before which I also supported even if there's a need for the forum app I personally will not use it.

Okay, I'll just make it and show you the application  Smiley

That would be great, but I honestly doubt it will ever happen. Just out of curiosity, how do you plan to make your app communicate with the bitcointalk.org server? You know there is no API for bitcointalk? I am not saying it is impossible; I just think you might not have a clear idea of how to do it.

Hello! I want to develop a mobile application Bitcoin forum app store. What do you think?
I suppose this follows an earlier complaint about what could be done with the forum to enhance its view on mobile devices.

Well, I don’t see a need to having an app for the forum. It’s just fine with me as it is and even if Satoshi Nakamoto could rise out of anonymity to put up an app on AppStore or Playstore for the forum before disappearing back to the odyssey, I still wouldn’t want an app to visit the forum.

It’s being a long term attachment having to type down the site and my fingers already knows where to get them keys subconsciously. Not to mention the risk involved and having to update every now and then when the developer feels more can be done.

It would be hard having to trust such app as an old user so, good luck to you in just developing another browser for a forum app.

Call me sceptic, but may I know what's in it for you? I assume this will be a free app? I ask because your past... offer was rather unethical and very much frowned upon in professional industry, selling a fake reference for CV, let alone the fact that you leave questions on that thread unanswered as it'll only add more question mark to your... credibility.

Are there like, comment and share buttons?

M*rk Zu*kerberg might say with the sentence Alex_BTC_FREE is my competitor in the future because the number of bitcointalk forum users is quite large. Haha... What a beautiful weekend I'm having right now without any football league watching.

Guys, don't worry, I've heard your opinion and reached a decision: I will create an application with public code, and when it's ready, I will show it to you. Don't worry! There won't be any third parties involved!

Now that you volunteered to embark on the project, do have any approximate date or time in mind when we can expect to see the application?

That's the spirit. Your words seem promising; I would love to test your app out, as you mentioned it will be open source and specifically for the Apple Store. But unfortunately, I do not have an Apple phone at my current position. But to test the app, I would arrange it. I could borrow it from my friends. But another issue is that I have to see who can give it to me.

Many users are pointing out the fact that your app might be vulnerable, as many users of this forum fear a backdoor that could lead hackers into their smartphones. But as you are saying, the app will be open source, so I think it won't be an issue for the members once the app gets approved by some of the high-class members of this forum. To maximize the animosity level, we can practice the same method that we use now to access BTT.

Why not go ahead and tell us about the other Applications that you developed in the past so we can check how reputable are you in creating applications, I doubt if many will support this extension the last one only has 11 users, I also don't use or limit the use of extensions, there has been a lot of hacked or intrusion coming from the use of extensions, so it depends on the kind of developer you are in the world of application making.
You have raised a good point; background history like the work experience and samples of the OP might help us a lot to build some trust in his skills. But still, we should not judge a book by its cover. And the creation of the BTT app is not something new; many members have tried their best before. Another thing is that all this OP could do is convert this webpage (in desktop view) to a mobile app view. And AFAIK, this has already been done by our beloved community member, Shahzadafzal. But still, I am looking forward to seeing the app, which the OP is promoting here.

Now it looks like you have accepted the challenge, but I haven't gotten you to answer some of the important questions posed to you in the previous few posts. I'm curious about your idea, can you tell us about this:

Do you want to create a Bitcoin forum app and distribute it through the app store?
Or do you want to develop an app store exclusively for Bitcoin forum apps?
If it's the former, what are your plans for the app?
What will be its purpose and functionality?

I'm not sure how interesting your idea is, but let's see what you do after this.

You should have completed all the information in your first post like who you are what you want to do and how you are going to do this, Instead of posting incomplete details I thought when I read your first post here you were an application developer and you were capable of creating an application for Bitcointalk it's just a plan, you're just embarrassing yourself

Bear in mind that, if you are planning on asking for (potential) users to provide their credentials, nobody in their right mind should provide them to a third-party. Even without demanding credentials it’s already risky enough to download apps nowadays, and certainly not something one should run to, whatever the pretext.

Note: Depending on how long your development takes, it may become obsolete pretty soon (a day, a year, a decade … who knows).

I want to develop a mobile application
I want to create a team of experienced developers
It sounds like you have "an idea", one that many others had before you, and now you're looking for the skills you don't have to start this project. If that's the case, why would those "experienced developers" need you, and what's in it for you? You've made 12 posts, that doesn't sound like you're very dedicated to Bitcointalk.
