You have to assume your responsibilities.
You wanted to help a person that you don't know, it is great to have kind people like you helping newbies but you should be more careful when it is about money.
Any one can destroy your reputation even without providing evidences.

some time ago someone contacted me via telegram, he asked my help for the BTC asset withdraw on a jackpot site.
then I decided to help him, when I wanted to withdraw the assets instead I was asked to deposit, after seeing the problem, I contacted the person again and apologized for not being able to help him. but the person was angry with me and asked for compensation.
so before something similar happens to you-you should be careful.

exactly xactly what I experienced a while ago but on a different site, he asked for my help to make a withdrawal and he promised to give a reward if I could withdraw it.
To search for authenticity then I searched in google about the site, google directed to the thread on bitcointalk and it turned out that the site was  declared scam.

The whole thing do not make sense to me, because what of if the person that is helping with withdrawal decided to hold on to the money if the withdrawal was successful. Anyone that contact me that I don't know on telegram, I block and delete the message history, telegram is becoming a hub for scams recently

What kind of a trash website is that? I wouldn't understand why the people would deposit money to website like this one? If he want to play casino games there are many great and trustful online cryptocurrency casinos like bitstarz, mbit or fortunejack.

OP does not deposit any money, he was asked  to retrieve some winnings which is suspicious at first glance.  I hope OP has learned his lesson not to entertain any message from unknown people especially when they asked for help about money.  There are lots of consequences when money is involved.  It is  best to stay away from these people and ignore them if possible.

There are many scammers using cryptocurrency to scam and steal money from peoples, you should not trying to help any suspicious peoples especially from gambling activity. If they have a fabricated proof to supporting your mistake, you will have to pay them. Few months ago, there were many scam email blackmailing users to send them bitcoin.

All I know is that I know nothing.
this is always why i am so skeptical about those who ask for help with strange comments while being so willing to give up their secret information such as wallet file, private key, or in this case login information of their website containing a large amount of bitcoin!

isn't that bad on its own? as far as i know "online gambling" is illegal in US!

Setting up an online gambling site in US jurisdiction is illegal, not necessarily gambling itself. It may depend on state laws though.

I Googled the site for scam accusations and I came up with nothing.

In cases like this, you should do research on the site itself. Basically no one is talking about it, which is as big a red flag as scam accusations.

But yeah it seems like asking for help regarding gambling sites is a fairly common modus operandi. They're not particularly believable, but people should still watch out.

From the moment he contacted you, you should have started asking yourself some questions. Telegram is full of sxammers and i, like you was contacted by random people with the intention of scamming. Ignoring them or blocking is the best way to deal with them.

scammers always target greediness of people and use it to their own advantage to make money. this is not a new thing that happened to you. they usually do it with a malware in the name of their own wallet that is corrupted and ask you to help fix it and be rewarded big time!
in short if someone isn't an actual expert they shouldn't really bother helping these people because the risks are higher than the reward.

It looks like the site is US based, but

the best approach is to ignore them or block them he has no right to ask for compensation because I don't see the damage done, totally bullshit taking your time and ask for compensation he can bother you if he knows but since he is a total stranger no use asking for compensation.

Absolutely right! No one has the right to demand anything from you without a proper document. If this person really bothers you very much, then you can just ban him in the telegram and no one will do anything to you. You have every right to do so at the state level. However in the future wish you not to mess with similar co-players.

Not entirely clear. You were asked to make a Deposit to a bitcoin casino site, and when the site refused, there were problems with the person? In your place, I would not participate in such adventures, because then there will be a lot of problems. In court of course you will not be served, but will always be able to ban or earn a reputation as a fraudster. Be careful with strangers on the Internet.

It is better to never get involved with anything like that, those scammers have experience getting money out of people and you do not seem to have the experience to deal with them effectively so the most effective thing to do is to block them, because if you keep talking to them there is a possibility however remote they could convince you to send them money and as soon as they receive it they will ask for more and try to get as much money from you as possible just to disappear shortly after.

It is a shame but the market of cryptocurrencies is full of people like that, if you do not believe me just take a look at the lending section of the forum where newbies will create a fake sad story just to see if anyone falls in their scam.

Well use my method on telegram. If some random guys says hello, just block him and live a better life.
Telegram is full of scammers, but they are mostly stupid so very easy to understand.
I often find people and individuals like this and I think this is the way he is looking for income from people or jobs that are not capable and I apologize for not insinuating but in fact like this

LOL. And the person has the nerved to get mad at you because he/she wasn't able to scam you? And no, I won't simply help anyone specially people I don't know because of the rampant scams out there. Question, what made you decide to help the person? How much bitcoin are we talking about here? I'm just curious, though.
he has 1.2 BTC when I managed to do widraw. I will get 50% of what he has, this is a very tempting number. hahaha lol.
I realize this is a fraud, I just hope it's true and get 50%.

The person who asked you to help is probably the one who owns the website, or is an accomplice of the owner. It's easy to create a fake gambling website with the same cheap scripts nowadays and pull off the scam. This sounds like the Nigerian Prince asking for your help but you must first send money in order to get the riches. Best thing to do with these scenarios is to just do your own thing and never even bother to reply. For the most part, it is in replying that these scammers get their motivation to continue in their schemes, so just ignore them and you'll be fine.

I myself just found out about this type of fraud because usually the fraud that I often experience is getting a scam e-mail, this is a dangerous mode because I hope we get a reward from withdrawl from the jackpot that he got, but instead we get fraud. I am grateful for this info. I became aware of the latest mode that will make me avoid this kind of fraud in the future
