like all have said 2 tb is more than enough what is really needed when you installing full crypto node is bandwidth and make sure that you have enough or have unlimited bandwidth because every crypto node that i know is keep communication and when you started right know you might download a couple hundred GB of data to get sync

1) If you are worried about old power sucking machines nodes in a box work well: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/nodes-in-a-box-5364113 and they really don't use that much power after IBD:
Thar is what a full mynodebtc on a RPi pulls through the USB. Obviously at the power pack at the wall you will be 110V/220V but still only a couple of watts.

2) If you are not running other things like a block explorer, electrs, lightning node. 1TB will last a good long time. If you want to do more, yes 2TB

Yes, you only need around 400 gigabyte to download the full blcockchain for now, 2 terabyte is enough for many years. Know that after you download the full blcockchain, you will need up 5 to 10 gigabyte per month to keep it up-to-date.

bitcoin can grow (upto) 4mb a block which there are about 52500 blocks a year
(210,000mb) 0.21tb /year

the average reality is more like 1.3mb (this month ~1.2)

a block so 2tb is more then enough for multiple years

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at building a low-power PC running a BTC node and before I choose the hard drive, I wanted to know the expected growth in full node size. I assume 2TB SSD will do for the next few years but best to check first.
