Depends on your definition of future,if another 100 years i dont think bitcoin can last that long, but if you are talking about 5 to 10 years, i think yes bitcoin can become the global currency and if the bitcoin user keep on flourishing then we can see bitcoin as a high price currency
I doubt it.Bitcoin really has scalability issues to become the Global currency.I'm talking about the usage of currency on an international level,example two countries establishing trading contracts with each other with bitcoins!Crypto Currencies will always be around,not sure if it can ever take over banks!

I think it is very likely to occur see the enthusiasm of the many people out there to use bitcoin they see that bitcoin is a new financial system and sophisticated if this continues, it is unlikely that bitcoin will become a world currency

There is no proof that Bitcoin is going to be a successful currency in the future but we never know what can happen. The only thing that we can do is wait it out and see what the next couple of years are going to bring us.

Is bitcoin a future proof currency?
Not likely. In maybe 10 years or 20 or 30 at some point bitcoin will no longer be profitable to use, maybe its value will drop by a lot or maybe a new crypto will take its place. So we cant say that bitcoin is future proof currency.

I think bitcoin will have good future because bitcoin become very familiar and popular to people of different countries around the world..And the most important thing is value of bitcoin increasing day by day so it tells it will have a great future.... Bitcoin is very dynamic in terms of upgradability. Bitcoin can easily replace fiat due to the features that it has to prevent counterfeiting, fixed supply etc. However, the main problem that is affecting its adoption is the volatility. Bitcoin prices can have a big decline in a short time compared to many fiat currencies.
Agree bitcoin has all the wonders one cannot possibly see i fiat but practically speaking,its hard to replace fiat completely.No matter what fiat will always be there.Though using bitcoins for local transactions and services online is great but when it comes to scalability on an economical level,it will fail.Bitcoin is becoming more popular every day and that is only becoming better for there future. I do not see any reasons why there future would be bad so I think that the future will give us something.
