No. I meant a lotto I guess. I'm not selling tickets or anything like that. Just giving a few bitcoins out, trying to get people interested, I figure once a newbie see's it in their wallet they will want more. So hopefully they will start earning more!

I was thinking about PM a trusted member a number 1-25 for group 1 and first person to guess it wins. Then do another for 1-50 and so on making the "pot" larger as the pool of participants grows. Only problem here is the trusted member not giving the winning number to his buddy.

An idea I think would work and isn't very complex is ask a trusted member to act as an escrow and hold the funds. Then you can take a piece of the pot and tip the trusted member to hold all the raffle funds untille a winner is picked.

Then u can pick have us pick number from 1-1000 or however u want to run it. If you want to prove it with some kind of transparent method that would be the best method in my opinion. I plan to do something like this myself in the future. Much respect for being so generous, respect.

Hmm.. good and fair raffle ideas? Perhaps just a 'guess a number' (or any other topic, for that matter) game. It's the only thing that comes to my mind, but maybe a thread prompting people to spend one guess on that thread trying to guess a certain number you have in mind (or several numbers, if you're feeling generous.) That would be in a range, of course.. 1-100, 1-1000.. something like that

Silly, I know, but I'm not too creative when it comes to fair (and free?) raffle ideas!

Make the raffle provably fair, that's important for trust. Maybe base the winner on entry number (order people enter in the thread) and a corresponding number based on the the blockchain hash at a specific future time (close of the raffle). Not quite sure of the formula to use but I'm sure a sytem like this would make it provably fair and cheat proof.
