Well, at least now it goes up, and if you take in the calculation of recent times, it is quite normal for bitcoin that the price varies in certain price ranges

Well for at least it didn't go down to the 10,000 USD mark and still many company are using bitcoin as mode of payment and are allowing to cash in and out in their business establishment. Which we can be still thankful for.

I'm wondering why people are even becoming surprised or anxious about btc going down. Its volatile by nature so ups and downs should be expected. Though support was actually strong around 11k   so we didn't get to see it below 10k.

Yes maybe bitcoin goes down by the start of this year 2018, but this is not pretty surprising because bitcoin value starts at the bottom at the first quarter of the year 2017. I think this is a good timing to buy bitcoins when the value of it goes down to $2k to have a huge profit in the near future when the bitcoin value comes back to $20k.

and with the latest news that we got the price surged when Thiel bought.
People act like he bought very recently, which isn't true. He managed to enter the market at levels far below current ones, so it basically means that he is somewhat 'bragging' about him having done well with his investment.

I am sure that if things didn't go well, that he would just silently accept having made a bad investment without anyone ever finding out. From there it would have more value if he actually bought at current levels.

If the market actually got boosted by that, then those who are responsible for that are just stupid. You don't buy into news or announcements, and especially not when you can move markets, it's that simple.
I have read some articles that it's true and confirmed, if you don't buy on those type of news or announcements and you are too skeptic about those positive news then it's you but with these type of news that is bringing hope and happiness to the bitcoin holders. I'm not buying with FUDs but when it comes to these positive things then I'm buying on it as long as it is true and confirmed.

Its not that surprising that bitcoin goes down, the pumping of bitcoin has been too strong and too long, just imagine every month with new high record, and now most of the people sell bitcoin to go to alt coin because its more profitable
You comment it correctly, growth was very accelerated in the last few months now maybe the price will stabilize even a little for a while.

As a result of it's pump that quickly happened then what can we expect on it's return? Price is moving on the way it moved forward and it did went backward. But for this year, we will see on how this calm market of bitcoin will stay. I have a big trust to bitcoin since then and with the latest news that we got the price surged when Thiel bought.

bitcoin price down it is a natural thing if you've often do bitcoin trading then of course you will often see bitcoin prices up and down so fast that in trading bitcoin you will not always get a profit sometimes you also can lose. so you'll be in demand to be able to determine the right decision such as selling bitcoin when the price is high and buy it when the price goes down.

Before 2017 began it was too much if the price went down by 200$ but now that has become a child's play.

I remember how back in 2015 the price just wouldn't break through the $300 level for quite a while. It took the market several attempts to finally get it done, while in today's market we see price swings of even $1000-$1500 in a matter of minutes. It's more a problem having to do with a lacking liquidity on each and every exchange. Imagine how things will be when the market hovers over the $100k level. 10% price swings, which are fairly common nowadays, will then be $10k price swings. But then again, by that time I am confident that we won't see the price nominated in BTC anymore, but in mBTC, which makes much more sense.
in September 2016 Bitcoin had a price of 560 dollars. In early 2017, Bitcoin rose above $ 1,000. Already in the late autumn of 2017, we saw another record of about 20,000 dollars for one Bitcoin. These prices fluctuated quite actively and really predicted. What will be the price tomorrow is impossible. Although if you remember the season fork Bitcoin, it was They who could affect the price increase.

i’m not Surprising will be Surprising  if price only keep goes up.
2000 dollars seemed very far because there are many resistance levels that the price must break before returning to that price.
after long time rising price need to stable or back down correction we can say back to 4000 or 6000 buy will be Surprising if i see bitcoin back to less than 1000 dollar.
let see the future and report about it.

I strongly doubt that Bitcoin would drop to $2000, but it is possible, because there are various declines and increases in this business. It depends on many factors. My estimate for 2018 is that the price gets back to $19000 and then higher.
Its normal and there is no need to worry about anything because bitcoin is a digital currency and its price is connected with market trade some time it will go high and some time it will be drop and it’s not the first time that its happening because bitcoin is not compromising on its price if bitcoin drop its price still it price will be high than any other currency because its price is very high than any other currency in world.
In crypto currency industry all fluctuation of bitcoin is normally happen, since competition of bitcoin to the other crypto currency are high. However they were always need the watch the price and analyze if we invest or withdraw. That is the nature of bitcoin in our community.

This is a common thing now. Before 2017 began it was too much if the price went down by 200$ but now that has become a child's play. Abashing it is, for we are the wealthy new elites in this world, bitcoin has bought us fame and glory and we shall rejoice it. Even if it goes down, we shall not fall apart, because remember united we stand, divided we fall. Let's embrace this moment and buy bitcoin again andrt us make ourselves rich.

The price went up within few days last year. The sudden growth was abnormal as usual since the cryptocurrencies don't follow the general economic law. This correction was much needed. Right now we are seeing the price being stable and fluctuating around 13500USD to 15500 USD. Expecting to see a new all time high!

What about the time when bitcoin was rising and surging by $2000 everyday ?
Does someone remember that ? Bitcoin is highly volatile , any big dump can let to some certain amount of bitcoin's downfall . But that does'nt have to be confused with the " end of the era of  bitcoin" . Such things are happening for bitcoin since it was originated . Bitcoin is faing some huge problems because of the blockchain getting over crowded and the mining fees touching its peak , which might be the reason of big dump and some price drop .

To me it looks like bitcoin is stabilizing.
And for a volatile product like bitcoin that means it's oszilating in a certain region.
It looks like that region is somewhere between 13K and 15K.
The 20K we have seen, that was an overheated market. Bitcoin had to drop down from there.
But I would be surprised if we see bitcoin fall strongly beyond the level of 13K.

Surprisingly not, I’ve been seeing such decreases since I joined cryptocurrency without being what is the reason because demand and supply works in faith and by the way investors see the future and can be surely change by emotions and by others speculative opinion. I mean it is a natural thing that may affect the price and the only best option we can do is HOLD.

You're one of the very few then. There are so many people in here, even legendary members, acting like utter noobs at the time the price is going up or down, that it really seems like regardless of how long people have been active here, they still don't understand anything of this market. It's pretty much embarrassing for any entity here to not develop a better understanding of anything related to this market as time goes by. Let them sit in their nonsensical cycle that will continuously lead them to nothing but stupid decisions -- people are responsible for their own actions after all....
