With the halving, the price will be $600. With the agreement on block chain size, the price will be over $1000.

what's the link between holiday season and swings?

Price is like a roller coaster.

A strong buy support @ 300 USD will keep the rate above 300 USD, however I won't expect anything above the 400 USD soon.

Hold is a safe advice (if you not sold everything yet).

I got my buy orders on 280 and 260 USD.

I think it will rise up in the next hours.

Swings is normal with BTC and frankly with any asset. Direction however is the real qustion.

I think it is time for some price rise after over 1year of going down, down and more down.

With the upcoming halving a 500USD seems te be a fair price for BTC.
600USD would be the best!

very interesting times are in front of us. i think people won't wait with selling coins for christmas just a few days before. if they are smart they must do it at least 2 weeks before.

The season of holidays is coming. We will experience more swings in my opinion. Christmas, New years, Luna New Years... so yeah a lot of swings and after that for a while there will be the halving

According to me for some time there because it will be constant for every cause it had highrise and downfall in very less time.

I thin if Bitcoin ends this year at over $400 would be nice, so would not lose any value in 2015 like it did in 2014. I am positive that Bitcoin will raise value in 2016. Well with one exception. If bubble start tomorrow, then is posible 2016 would be same as 2014, but doubt anyone would complain.

$450 in 2016 is very possible. I even think bitcoin will finish above $450 in 2015.The bitcoin price is seasawing below $400. It is a kind of consolidation after the recent dramatic rise. It is preparing for the next push to higher price. More news about blockchain technology adoption will give the price a lift.

I agree with the price swings part Recently, the bitcoin price changes a lot we all must admit. I was really surprised to see bitcoin shooted to 500 after 24 hours. And this can bring profit and even a loss to many traders

This is what day traders like to see. There is a lot money to be made in just a single day if these price swings keep being as heavy as they are now. Don't be too self confident when it comes to thinking the price won't go down. Bitcoin has proven us wrong plenty of times.

bitcoin price seems like a roller coaster right now, few days ago i saw it hit $310+ and yesterday $340 and now its $330, totally unpredictable. but i am pretty sure it will go up in the next days, just up, no more downs

I think Bitcoin will increase. I believe in it.

I am sure? No, but it doesn't matter for me actually bitcoin is still higer than euro or pound.

It is just if you are lucky that it increase good if not that just bad luck. For me I just buy BTC with my extra money. So that in my mine that I did not lose any money.

Hoping for it to stay around a steady $300

The way it's going right now I think that it might go up the beginning of 2016 and I  think that by the end of next year it will stay at a steady $400

But I'd be happy to see it go higher

Price settled down in the end. Market's trust based price is determined and I think it is $300.
Bitcoin is really open, so open to speculators. It is always better to remain patient while watching ups and downs.

Start watching the push and pull from the NA/EU traders and compare it with the Chinese. The Chinese market influx is keeping it relatively steady from an MACD/JWellsWilderRSI/StochRSI bastardized btc indicator perspective. If you are bored go to fiatleak.com and watch the fiat drops into the btc markets. The NA/EU traders for the most part are doing it as a hedge investment, long positions or a long term lottery ticket, but the Chinese are doing it since their currency is in a controlled collapse.

Check out www.investopedia.com and grab an account on a btc trading platform to learn about market dynamics. There are many more indications of the market to use instead of the general "halving", increasing difficulty and the volatility of btc as an investment strategy position.

I stay up late enough to see the NA/EU/AP markets and make my decisions on a nightly basis from reading charts before I crash and make deterministic positions on my interpretations of seven indicator models for a twelve hour period. The fact that 99.9% of people do not do this is why the people that do make money on the way up and the way down is possible. Panic, think fight or flight causes sell orders at low levels and nervous re-entry at high levels and the traders eat it up.

I treat btc as a stock and trade it long and short, along with day trade when I am bored. Not accounting for the million variables that could be used to gauge the swings is a bad position, along with waiting for good news or bad news on the internet. You can see the changes in the market swings by simply monitoring the flow with tools and not CNN, Fox News or "Ask Me Anything".

The NA/EU traders have nervous fingers for the most part, so keep that in perspective. The Chinese and other countries are using it to maintain an equitable position for survivability due to a potential currency collapse.

Holding and hoping is a bad position imo, but to each their own.

Bitcoin is a currency/commodity/revolution, so treat it as one unless you purposely don't watch the price to be surprised and expect amazing returns. Sell high, buy low, hedge your positions and don't miss out on the massive amounts of profit to be made in between swings.

edit: I have no stake in any btc organization and my pictures of my mining operations, albeit small is not for sale. I have had three people contact me to see if I am selling my mining operation. I am not, scammers are using my pictures as bait. I will let everyone know my exit point and when I am selling my equipment, so if you see nine miners all connected in the pron thread those are mine. Please report the people that are using my pictures to scam on this forum to get them banned.

I will never sell anything btc related unless you see a post from me and I will hold up a date/time printed paper to prove my account name and date/time. If anyone is attempting to sell you something have them take a photo with them holding your name, with a time/date and their name for proof in a photo. If they do not do so, they are not to be trusted and should be reported to the mods.
