This will undoubtedly be like Bitcoincash, and its price will fall rapidly. Why do people still believe such nonsense things? These things do nothing but reduce the value of Bitconi! It's just bullshit!

I'm not really convinced about Bitcoin Gold but maybe i'm wrong. I'm curious what you think about Bitcoin Gold so feel free to vote or share your opinion here.
Bitcoin gold was just like  another altcoin out there , It may have a value for some time but in the long run I don't think it will last and will become a deadcoin , so as soon as I received it I will dump it again on the exchanges and change it for some bitcoins
In my opinion, Bitcoin Gold will be the backup Bitcoin for Bitcoin original or an option for someone want to mining Bitcoin without Asic mining and use GPU.
If Bitcoin Cash has 8MB blocksize, Bitcoin Gold has a function is support GPU miner mining Bitcoin in future.
But to be honest, the price of Bitcoin Gold will not high as Bitcoin original Smiley

...
I think the demand exists, but the people behind BTG lack the necessary manpower, time, and possibly also knowledge, to get this task done.
They hardly got their full node client ready in time for their proposed forking date.
Compared to BCH, there's less time for preparation, the group working on it is smaller, and the developers seem less experienced.

I would love to find out more about the BTG development progress. What is the source of your info?
Do you think that they will not complete the planned before the announced deadline?

BTC Gold would be profittable if the exchange sites give the same value with balance wallet BTC as they did it in BTC Gold. But that means prices of altcoins would prepare to dump. Because most of invester likes that free money from BTC.

exchange? maybe better store some btc just in private key or in general in a cold wallet.
I am scared enough to trust an exchange with a clear position about a fork. Ok free money but make attention because these are "delicate" moment.

When I get Bitcoin Gold I do exactly the same. I believe that Bitcoin's hunger is a true loud name.

bitcoin gold is scam . dont buy . price is zero
People said Bitcoin Cash would instantly go to zero because everyone was just going to sell it as soon as they could. But it's still up going to $325 at the moment.

the servers are a little costlier than normal nodes if i am not mistaken.
Electrum servers are decentralized to a certain point. Someone forking a client for BTG wouldn't have to worry about the server cost factor, as that task is taken up by the community (in the best case).
That being said, running an Electrum server needs an underlying, running full node, besides Electrum itself, and thus is a bit more ressource intensive.

there may be. [...] things like Electrum need some demand first to be created. [...] someone has to fork the project and adapt it to BTG standards.

Will there be an electrum version to support the Bitcoin Gold?

there may be. but there isn't so far any. and be careful if you saw one out there, it may be something that tries to steal your coins (both bitcoin and bitcoin gold) if you try and install it.

Yeah i know that. Wouldn't use such a version on the same PC I already use Electrum for my Bitcoin. And the best thing is to trade away the bitcoin after the fork to a new address before you import the private key anywhere.

I think it will be another altcoin, just like bitcoin cash.
I don't see end in this bitcoin forks and airdrops, we can see once in a while splitting chain and new altcoins so someone who is holding larger amount of bitcoins can get more money.

The same value as the did with BTC Gold? Do you mean Bitcoin Cash? People holding bitcoin will receive the same number of coins in a 1:1 basis but the value is absolutely not going to be the same as bitcoin and HIGHLY unlikely it will not have the same value as bitcoin cash.

Yeah, bitcoin gold doesn't gonna match the bitcoin value.I don't think bitcoin gold not gonna make any changes in the crypto currency world.I think the value of BTG will be more or less $500.So i don't care about bitcoin gold i think most of the people don't too.

I know a lot of people try it straight away.  I also keep myself difficult. Is it worth taking the risk?
Bitcoin gold gives me a feel like past is repeating itself. Sometimes I feel like it is a sibling of bitcoin cash and I hope this is not going to be the case. Some people have also labelled it as a scam and not many are showing trust in this upcoming fork.

Buying it won't be a mistake as far as it is not purchased at the cost of bitcoin itself. Sometimes, I feel like people have become tired of the forks.
