We are talking about two things here, when you say "Bitcoin" :

1. Can the Bitcoin protocol be hacked. short Answer : No - Because it's decentralized, nobody will accept changes to the code, without validating it. People can decide if they want to run the code being

    distributed. If the majority do not accept it, the changes will not be made to the Bitcoin network. {Nobody can sneak in malicious code, because there are too many people watching}

2. Can the services built on top of Bitcoin be hacked? - Yes - This is 3rd party services and not part of the core protocol. It's like saying ....If Amazon are hacked, were PayPal or credit card companies

also hacked? It's 2 separate entities.

I hope you get what I am saying.... This is often confused by the media and people who do not know a lot about Bitcoin. Example : If Xapo {A wallet service} is hacked, Bitcoin cannot be blamed... they

are just using Bitcoin {The technology / currency token } on their service.

I don't know can bitcoin wallet got hacked. But if you use the exchanger could be a scam. To prevent that enable 2FA features in your wallet.

I don't know what kind of 'hack' we're talking about here but yes, bitcoins in generally can be hacked more or less. If you leave your address and private key lying somewhere recklessly unattended, then your account can highly likely be hacked.

But if we're talking about the blockchain, I'm guessing it's nearly impossible to do that. It's not completely impossible, but nearly. As in there's almost no way you can hack into that blockchain and sneak in a fake record.

As long it is made by man, it can be manipulate, change, modify, hack by man.
But it will be a of matter of time before someone can do that.

everything is "unhackable" till someone hack.

What should be said is: till today, seems impossible. people are trying every day and nobody ever achieved.

AND
there is a huge different in hack you and get your bitcoins, or hack bitcoin network to get bitcoins.

If I'm not mistaken, I think that there is a possibility for the blockchain network to be hindered useless or vulnerable to attack if the network hash rate is low enough... but it would be a very expensive and energy consuming feat by one person to do if they were to do it now since there is a lot of powerful miners being pointed to the bitcoin network.

everything can be hacked, and bitcoin can be accessed on the dishonest way.

you can not hack a decentralized environment, here we would end in the long talk about how you can thoretically stop every computer on the planet to stop bitcoin

if the topic is talking about that in the end

anyway if a quantum computer would exist now, it might put some danger in the remote case your public key is leaked, thus it may be possible to retrieve the private key from it, this is the only possibility to "hack" bitcoin at the moment"

Can Bitcoins be hacked?

In short description, it may happen only when someone will have under its control 51% of the entire Blockchain power.
Of course it is still possible to hack your password to the wallet if it is not strong enough, or someone can provide to your PC malware and "steal" your wallet.

I think it is hackable only in the cases when you have weak security to your wallets especially online wallets where a person can access to your wallet just by knowing your wallet password and username/email/pin etc to that wallet.

The better thing is that you have to make a secure password for your wallet and do not give acces to it to other, and in some cases the hackers ask for a file to download these are actually the viruses which leak out your typing data from your keyboard and so in that way the hackers hack your login details, so try to avoid people and offers like that.

there is no secure data on the internet, so many great hackers out there, and all possibilities can occur. I think bitcoin can be hacked, but I guess bitcoin security system is currently very good, so it will be difficult

Your bitcoin wallet can get hacked if you aren't careful but the technology itself the blockchain & the whole network can't get hacked.
Someone started this Threats to bitcoin discussion, check that out if you are more interested in such.
This pretty much sums it up.

I would also warn everyone to check for malicious browser plug ins, some even slip into the Firefox and Chrome repo's, they can detect and change when you copy a wallet address, so always check if you're pasting the correct address.
And phishing is also pretty common through fake emails from exchanges for example, always check the URL.

Can Bitcoins be hacked?

I think it's possible, as long as there is internet I think everything can be hacked. But do not worry, you can still use bitcoin safely. Maybe you can use the wallet of blockchains.info because I think their security is guaranteed, but nothing is 100% perfect you know Cheesy thank you

No it can't be hacked, i think your hack term is related to finding private key of bitcoin address for that millions of computer have to compute for millions of years to find out that. Although there are some hype about quantum computer can do this, but i personally don't think quantum computer will be out within few years.

Can Bitcoins be hacked?

The answer can be both, No and Yes.

No, because bitcoin is not in anyone's control, it can't be hacked.
Yes , because bitcoins are mostly stored in various wallets, and wallets are softwares or apps. so these can be hacked. in that manner bitcoins can be hacked. so be safe with your bitcoin and store them carefully with all securities.

Bitcoin is an online cryptocurrency with peer to peer network. A currency cannot be hacked, but the bank, people's accounts, and escrows may prove scam. However, if you are open to the deep web you will find people using bitcoin which is secure for anonymity, and easy to store transfer and use.

This question lacks context. Bitcoin is a currency, how can you hack a currency? If you were talking about the bitcoin network, a lot of time has passed and I'm pretty sure that there are tons of hackers out there who tried to find a glitch in the bitcoin's network. Still, the network is secure and unhackable.

If you were talking about your bitcoin wallet, yes you can be hacked especially if your password isn't a unique password and isn't secure. You should enable 2FA so that hackers won't be able to use your account even if they figured out your password.

Can Bitcoins be hacked?

your question is unclear. what do you mean by "bitcoins" and what do you mean by "hacked"?

bitcoin wallet can be hacked, you can lose the private key, password to the wallet (web or desktop wallet) so the hacker can steal your coins.

if you mean like brute forcing the private key to access the bitcoins that is in a particular address then no.
