Once the Afghan men hear about this, it will be all over for Bitcoin in Afghanistan. This is one of the countries, where Bitcoin will simply be banned.. because of the political implications it might have.

For one thing, most people believe that it was developed by the West... even though there is no evidence to back that up.. and we know, how they feel about the West. The other thing is... women are

not allowed a place in the sun, and Bitcoin will give them that freedom.. but the men {politicians} will not allow that.  Wink ....So give up on that idea... and let's just enjoy the technology that might just

change the financial world.  Grin

I have met to some afghan men on a money earning forum and I have noticed that they are accepting and using bitcoin for their purposes and they told that they do not have any difficulty in that,

So bitcoin is for all over the world anyone can adopt and use it, and that is the attractive feature of bitcoin which everyone love.

Well, like you said... you met men on that forum, but where are the Afghan women? They cannot proclaim publically that they use Bitcoin... because they not allowed to have some freedom, like men

do in these countries. I also want EVERYONE to use Bitcoin, and this includes men and women and of ANY religion. If we promote something to the women in that country, it will be perceived as a

threat to their authority and against their religious believes, and this will lead them to banning the technology. They should decide on these things on their own... we can only help those people who

wants to be helped.

Yeah, you are also true, currently there is still much backwardness in Afghanistan.
Due to their ignorance they are banning girls/women to participate in the world affairs. I think it is because they have fear of their authority. they are of the view that if they allow them to participate then they will lose authority on them.
And for religious point of view, I will say that it is not because of their religious as there are a lot of other Islamic countries where females are allowed to participate in the world affairs even in Arab.

I think in this part we can help some countries by donating bitcoins even $1 will be a great help to them. How many bitcoin users are there having $1 dollars on there bitcoin wallet. I guess 90% of it does. But i think some organization will put up to help does in need specially those women that have no food to eat or cant go to school. We can build school for them if we have unity.  Grin

I dont think anything from 2014 can be called "news" but I think
anything that helps women in those middle eastern countries is
great

They treat women like crap there. Unfortunately I dont see anything can
be fixed in that country. It sad but Im just not seeing afghan culture changing
in the next 100 years if not ever.

I don't think Bitcoin can be helpful for Afghan girls due to poor literacy rate and it can be complicated for Afghan people to use it like as normal fiat currency to improve their way of living, it would take a lot of time to rise awareness into developing countries about this revolution to change their lives.
if we see the article, its showing some girls active on internet, and its good news even afgan girls can access internet, and helpfull or not,at least bitcoin have touced critical country like afghanistan.

this only sounds like a good news but i think it is not as good as it sounds in reality and also has no effect on bitcoin whatsoever.

these people especially from third world countries doesn't have any computer knowledge and they do not care about bitcoin and even if they have some kind of income with bitcoin they are doing it with micro-jobs like surveys, faucets, PTC sites, ponzi schemes and all kinds of meaningless low paying jobs and will dump bitcoin as soon as they earn it to get the fiat.

There is to a newer news on this topic from April this year. It seems as if the development is sustainable, although there are only a few projects so far. To have a major impact, it must be even more widespread in Afghanistan.

I am not that impressed. This news is 2 years old and we didn't hear anything more about development of that Afghan bitcoin movement.
It might be a dead end to propagate bitcoin adoption in a country which has problems a lot worse than building bitcoin user base.

Good to see the news is ongoing with this. Bitcoin has the ability to do this globally for all the financially repressed.

"Due to low literacy rate and high internet fees, about 10% of the 26 million population has internet access.[6] Services such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and others are limited to the upper-middle-class youth in the major urban areas."--Wikipedia.
