I think in 2020 bitcoin prices will rise high, it may be related to the year 2010, which makes the price of bitcoin be riding high at the time. and perhaps bitcoin prices probably will rise dramatically, perhaps 2X than the price in 2010 or the equivalent of $ 2,100 for one bitcoin
we can do a stupid math and say, that in 6 years, from 2010 to 2016 it increased by 4000x, since we still need 4 years to reach 2020, and 4 is 2/3 of 6

I think there will be a point where we'll no longer measure the value of btc by fiat money, but, instead, we'll value fiat money by the amount of btc it is capable of buying. This means asset prices will be set in btc instead of fiat.
I think that if this happens, and when this happens, we can fairly think about 10.000 € per btc. But there's no way to be sure of anything related to it. it's sill too recent and disruptive.

The price of bitcoin in 2020 could be anything literally from $0 to infinity. Only a psychic can tell you what the price would be exactly in 2020.
All its going to take is for us to hit $1000 solid and manage to stay their. If we manage to do this then a lot more people are going to start taking bitcoin seriously and see the full potential of it. For some at the moment its still too much of a risk. Still a safer bet than those pesky altcoins imo.

Look its possible that the bitcoin will rise to high numbers, but I do not believe that.
The thing is nobody knows for sure where we will be in 5 years from now and the price is only one aspect of Bitcoin. Most of us are more interested in
other possibilities that might be enabled, if this technology are applied to more areas than just being a currency. The speculators will come and go and
they will just be interested in the price. If for examples Smart contracts are fully developed and successful and the currency token fail, it would still be
a great technology.

you have great experience,you know bitcoin early,and its amazing feeling when you hold bitcoin from 2010 and relize the price blow up so high,have you think that bitcoin will much bigger than you first time know bitcoin?i am know bitcoin in 2013,and its have more than $500 price,and now going down,so i can't predict what happen next,maybe just like now,the price up and down in a week or a month. i can totally see bitcoin become successful in the future because it is on a good path despite all the negative news surrounding it. so i guess the price of 1 bitcoin is going to be much higher that what it is right now but 10,000 euros is a bit high and far from what i have in mind.
bitcoin will either be worth a lot or end up being worth nothing. i believe in the long term potential of bitcoin and that we will see the price break through $1000 again and stay above that price level. i don't think in terms of bitcoin reaching $5000 or $10000 while we haven't seen the price at $1000 yet. once we hit $1000 then we'll be thinking in the range of $2000 as being the new target.
This should be moved into the speculation subform. Speculating is one of my favorite pastimes so I will still say mine: I think by about 2020 we are going to be at a solid 4 to 5 figures value, the value is completely impossible to know, from 5USD to 99K USD, anything on that range is pretty much granted, which is why im not touching my BTC for 5+ years.

it could happen, because at the beginning of 2010 bitcoin price increases, the price reached $ 1,000 in a short time, could in 2020 be $ 2,000 bitcoin prices which commemorates the year of highest bitcoin prices
Maybe by 2020 you value USD and Euro against BTC!
If Bitcoin has increased in value within 5-6 by 10 folds or more, then I feel it could increase further as years pass by. If by 2020 more merchants accept Bitcoin and also hold it instead of converting it to fiat, and more people are aware of its benefits, then it's value is bound to increase.
With recent center of attention by medias, it's demand will keep on growing even further as the room is so big that wouldn't just stop (at least for now) but we've all seen it could still be manipulated either way so I think a little over $1000 would be the ideal price to guess upon reaching 2020 in the future (that's if nothing bad goes and disrupts these movements).
This is not so far away from now 4 years.

If things inside EU will keep going, EUR could be worth as much as the paper they are printed on, so then it's not bright vision of future for BTC ;]
