Will you live in year 2100? Do not think future which you will not live. Just think today and maybe near future.

By me, I think I could live by that time if I sell my body for experimentation. Then I could become a cyborg with very cool capabilities and advanced technology. My fuel source would be Bitcoins by then. If there's no Bitcoins, no fuel and I would die...lol This is what I think of the future. It is just my imagination  Roll Eyes

I think by "2100 of years" you mean in the year 2100.
if so, that is so far away and nobody can predict the future of a technology like bitcoin for that long. you can't even be sure that after 100 years fiat is still the same let alone talk about bitcoin. it might even be replaced by another thing.

I'm a time traveler, no lie.
In 2100, all bitcoins are mined by the Quantum Membrane Network (QMN).
The network is monitored and maintained by the Free Artificial People Collective (FAPC).

Since the World Congress declared them a "free person(s)" in 2087,
they ultimately were allowed to mine in non-human controlled pools.
Because of this, the FAPC were able to develop QMN rapidly and deployed them to their own benefit.
This led to human pool mining becoming obsolete and the rein of artificial people mining for the next 52 years.

The QMN harnessed its energy needs from other dimensions and the network can jump to others when desired.
It was said to be able to "drain" the energy/mass from other universes and their trillions of stars.
It was estimated (around 2137) that since the start of the QMN, at least three different universes were "drained"
to point in which it may have led to universal big freezes.

But this is entirely speculative and the systems actual workings are not entirely understood, and only known to few in the FAPC.
In 2237, FAPC were disbanded for unknown reasons and many of its members left earth to colonize different star systems.

Hope this answers your question.  Wink

There are still some FAPC members on Mars, but the Ogul cult is hunting them down, one by one. It was the humanoids who came up with the idea, and that might be why the council decided to react on it, to curb another rebellion.

On a serious not, I enjoyed your fictional answer and decided to jump on it, for some fun. We have no crystal ball, so everyone will just have to guess what will happen in the future.

My guess, Bitcoin will be gone and forgotten by then and only be remembered as the first Crypto currency.

In a top down money distribution model like fiat money, money is coming from top, in the form of government loans to drive many different government projects, and then reach average person as salary, thus become widely used and accepted

But bitcoin distribution model is bottom up: From the miners. Typically miners do not drive projects and employ people, even they spend the coins or sell the coins, after each transaction, a large part of coins will be hoarded, thus there will be less and less coin in circulation

This makes it very difficult for average people to even have a chance to touch bitcoin. So it will not reach mainstream from income approach. There must be another area that everyone is concerned, like things exclusively sold for bitcoin, or long term investment, or anti-inflation

It all depends on bitcoin related services evolvement. IMHO bitcoin itself as a currency can not even stay in relevant terms for that long without
a numerous market oriented services. Remember, it was the market service that pushed the value on every peak.
If the said services are to exist, bitcoin will become a store of value as well, pushing prices way beyond what u may imagine, and if not it will become obsolete and forgotten, replaced even.

Bitcoin would be very valuable (around $2000 or $5000 per BTC) and admired by everyone around the world.

It'll take 85 years to go up by a factor of ten? That would make it one of history's worst investments.

What I stated before was just an estimate of how Bitcoin's value would be, but I guess that it would be far more valuable (perhaps more than Gold) when 2100 comes. It will be a very rare crypto currency by that time. If I were to live by then, I would sell some of my Bitcoins for profit. My ROI would be multiplied 10x, 100x or maybe even 1000x  Roll Eyes

I think there are two chances may be bitcoin will be so popular like gold or other assets. But there is also a chance of its extinction due this on going hacking and data theft situation.

Or worse, the Earth as we know it would cease to exist due to wars and other conflicts. Bitcoin also might be replaced with other refined and better version of it that will work flawlessly and smoothly.

Probably nobody in this forum see 2100, unless they produce something for people to live more than 120 years.
Technology is growing super fast, 20 years ago nobody have cell phones. Now we can't dream a world without internet connection. who knows what will happen 20 years later. Satoshi has a good word about that, in X years Bitcoin will either be highly adopted or failed.

Me too I dont see itcoin reaching up to 2100 and bitcoin is decreasing every year.

Btw cell was invented 40 years ago, and technology have been growing fast since the
Discovery of oil.

Your thought is beyond logical thing, cos even a Time Machine is hard to invented.
Even if yes, the Time Machine is a very very dangerous thing.

Still need to live up to 2100 Cheesy

yeahh we didnt know
when we dead,

but just my opinion, bitcoin in 2100 is still cheap , maybe 300$

with that price by 2100, it only mean that bitcoin failed long time before even reaching 2100 era

i highly doubt the price will be anywhere near what it is right now

Surely in 2100 bitcoin will be gone but as for now bitcoin will be
Rising to the top and slowly going down but before that bitcoin will leave
a legacy as a free currency.

why $300? should be able more than that

2100 is long away. By 2140, all bitcoins will be mined. But, by 2040 93% of all bitcoins will be mined. By 2020, it'd be around 85%. So, right now, it is better to discuss 2020, instead of 2100. Smiley

By 2020 the price is going to be insane, probably have 3 bubbles from now to then which will shock people how high we go.  2100 i'll be a energy and not human anymore? maybe a robot.

interested, I just understood also. I wish there was more progress than that.

I suppose you are using a translator which makes it a bit hard to understand your question exactly is.

You are asking a question that no one here is able to give you an answer for. The year 2100 is very far away, even 2025 is very far away, especially in the world of technology.

I am asking a question that very far away just for see a someone opinion.,,, Would we still safely store bitcoin, because we also know themselves that bitcoin are limited and will be exhausted in the next years by miners  Smiley

Yes. By the year 2100, bitcoin would may cost in multi fold of millions. $2000 or $5000 are target of next year, 2016. By the 2100, bitcoin would be treated more than platinum (which is after gold). Bitcoin would be divisible by more than 32 decimals(currently 8 decimals).

Well im pretty sure when we reach aroun d2020 at 2050 we will start to see full potencial of bitcoin,at 2100 we will just be collecting it and its value should be the biggest recorded of bitcoins history.

maybe by that time something better that uses far less resources takes over bitcoin's place. it's something we don't know. maybe the current blockchain is very outdated by then.
