I think in the year 2100 the price of bitcoin would rise upto 1 million dollars.each and every country would adopt bitcoins as their currency and there would be only one currency in the world that would be only bitcoins.i think that at that place 2100 there would be lot of black market that we have to take care of .
What's sad is none of us will be alive then, maybe a few kiddos but the most of us will be dead and gone.

i dont mind what the price would be by 2100 because i am certain that i wont be alive by that time but i would like to tell that technology keeps changing and who knows what the state of digital currency would be 20 years from now.
Yes you are right, even if it is very valuable or the price deflates if we are dead by that time then it is useless. So i will no longer mind myself of thinking about what happen to bitcoin at that time. Maybe I will adjust the year to 2021 because at that time I am still young and if bitcoins price will reach 10k$ I will be very thankful and I will buy a house and lot. I appreciate the authors idea but I just want to be realistic.

Look at the changes in the last 80 years. In 2100 there will everything re-invented. They will laugh at bitcoin like we do about horse and buggy.
Not necessary even if bitcoin is obsolete by that time, most people have very deep respect and admiration for the first of any invention, just look at the first plane, now every other plane is faster than it and still we admire the plane and those that built it.

2100 don't you think it's a Lil far, cause like they say in the long run we all die. Coming to your question look where Bitcoin was, hardly people knew and where today it is. Every one wants a bite of it. Every one wants it as primary currency, who knows all countries decide to scrap their currencies and just use Bitcoin, all have same value, all stable and stronger. That's what I would love to see in 2100
