I advocate the Zeitgeist Movement & Venus Project.
The crowning moment of writer stupidity was when they actually said an IP address that was incoherent.

Otherwise, not terrible. They seemed to imply that bitcoin is incorporated, closed source and somehow subject to identity verifying code injection. Hopefully they talk about it more with that newly formed love interest. I was stunned at how many times they actually said the word. Looking forward to that montage on youtube soon.

Watched the episode today--twice--and it was fantastic!  Even my 65ish year old parents, which had previously been totally uneducated with bitcoin, were fascinated and learned a lot.  It's a lot more interesting when people on TV are talking about something, I suppose.

I thought the episode was excellent.

BUT from my perspective, this show, and every other mass market publicity for bitcoin is a double-edged sword.  On one hand, it will cause thousands of people to Google bitcoin and learn more about it, thus helping the economy grow.  On the other hand, some of those people will find these forums when they Google, and see what a load of pedantic aspergians we have around here, and it will frighten them away.  Speaking of, does Atlas still post?

Aspergians make for good businessmen.

Retracted for stupidity.

Just heard about it and checked out about half of it.  Interesting discussion in the courtroom about how to treat the concept of Bitcoin.  Never been into drama shows though and don't watch much TV but I thought it was pretty interesting.

Great show! Amazed at how much they addressed many of the issues -  ie., "digital commodity vs. currency". Although I think most of the Occupy Wall Street are clueless to bitcoin (contrary to what was said in the episode), but many of them will now know about it. And then there was Kramer...shocking that an establishment insider like him called it a "commodity" vs. a "currency" in his role. The banksters must not fear bitcoin and I'm not sure if that's good. Huh

I bet Kramer invested in it at $30.

Retracted for stupidity.

Keep in mind, it could have also been due to your appearance at CES.

Well, this particular merchant, on his application, specifically said he heard about Bitcoin on the Good Wife and googled it Smiley

G. Zeus.

i wasn't expecting that to happen... let's hope it's mcdonalds or coke/amatil.

Haha unfortunately I'm sure McDonald's and Coke have heard of Bitcoin long before this episode.  That's why they're business experts.

yeah, it's probably something more like Shoelaces 'r' Us.

Which is terrible when Velcro is clearly more efficient.

This looks like a boring series that I will probably never watch again, though I liked their Bitcoin coverage. My favorite part was the implication that Bitcoin is something that all young people are familiar with. Like it's an integral part of Internet culture. Not really true yet, but I like the idea.

The real Satoshi story is way more interesting than the story in the show, though.

Let's hope they don't trace his IP address from one of the encoded blocks!

I actually like the show, my girlfriend got me hooked on it a couple of seasons ago. There's some good drama, and it is a story from an interesting perspective, that of the wife of a cheating, dirty politician.

And we have the smoking gun. Please keep us posted in the short term of merchants who apply due to good wife.

I wonder what the real Satoshi thinks of this episode.

He definitely watched it.  Wink

Shame on everything; regret nothing.
it took exactly 23 minutes after the show ended for a merchant sign up for Bit-Pay after doing a google search after the show.  Once he is up and running, I will tell you who it is Smiley

Excellent
