This is a great time to buy Bitcoin by investing fiat. These prices may not last forever. I am personally gonna step in only at $210 though, because i want a bargain. Otherwise this is a good price to get in atm. No one can predict the market, but my gut says that the price should bounce back!  Grin

I didn't understand halving thing too..

BTW guys, I have opened BTCJam account, and invested some of my money.
Thanks everyone! Smiley

Miners mine Bitcoins in order for the blockchain to work properly, and in return, get paid rewards for their generated block, currently getting 1 genesis block gives 25 BTC to miners... It halves every 4 years, and it will be halved next year to 12.5, that is what I tried to explain... Smiley

I knew already only half of that. Now i know the rest. Thanks Smiley

What does the block reward halving have anything to do with it? The halving will very likely push up the bitcoin price so it could be a wise investment to try get as many coins as you can now.

It's the cash-flow which goes on and on and has given BTC its value, and will still continue to give as BTC can go anywhere but not 0... Now, clarify me what has halving to do with the BTC price? Did you mean to say that it will increase demand in people to buy BTC just because the reward halved?

Mining, whether by yourself or cloud, ain't profitable nowadays as the Rewards will be halved to 12.5... You can try your hands on trading altcoins or arbitrage trading of BTC in order to gain some small but sure-shot gains that may meet your expectations...

How is that possible? Shocked You may want to change the sentence if you meant something else. Smiley

Quote from: bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/9458/what-determines-a-bitcoins-value
Fiat money is money that has no entity backing it other than the issuer, usually a government. When the United States dollar finally disconnected from the gold standard in 1971 it became a fiat currency. Basically the USA declared, "The dollar has value because we are 'Murica" and the world said, "OK". In actuality, the US dollar has no intrinsic value other than the fact it is issued by the United States. Most modern currencies are fiat money.

Bitcoin follows the same principle, in that its value is determined by perception. Instead of the trust of some government entity being evaluated to determine the value of Bitcoin, other factors (the technology, widespread acceptance, understanding of e-money, etc.) are taken into consideration. When magazines and online entities write intriguing articles about Bitcoin, people take interest in it, the demand goes up and so does its value v. government-back currencies. Likewise when Mt. Gox is DDoSed, a bitcoin service shutters, or $250,000 worth of BTC is stolen, people get nervous, demand drops, and so does BTC's value.

I am new here but I know some things about Bitcoin.
I am interested in investing some money, but not too much in some kind of project, but not in mining.
Maybe cloud mining, but as I heard, only earner from such is developer..
What would you suggest?
Thanks Smiley

Cloud mining is ponzi except cex.io I think, but not profitable. If you want to try cloud mining try zeushash, hash profit or Genesiss mining.
But if you want to invest, search xbtc or bitcoinex.

They are many legit cloud mining sites including cex.io . Hashprofit is collapsing, please don't invest there. @ikyedsu : Please don't spread things which you aren't sure about. Smiley

As I said, a few times already, if you want to invest into cloud mining, avoid cex.io and go to hashprofit. I've actually made some profit but the only down side is that you can't withdraw and sell you khs for the next 3 months, well you can but there will be a 20% fee. Also invest in bitcoin. Buy now when the price is really low and hold it. That's the best way.

Are you still receiving payments from Hashprofit?
From what I read in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=755527.100, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-unofficial-hashprofit-thread-908625 and the official Hashprofit thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=888534.120 (thread locked now), no one has received anything in the past 2 weeks.

OK. I will check lending sectoin on forum too, but BTCJam seems easier to use, and it is automated. I will first try with small investments.
Look for people that have vertified everything and have few trades completed, you will thank later for this advice.
Good luck.
OK. Thanks.
I have one more question. What if requested loan isn't fully funded?

OK guys, that's enough about cloud mining and gambling. I already said that I won't invest into that.
First, I need to buy some BTC. Then, I have two choices. Simply hold it or invest it in BTCJam. It seems interesting. What is that site about? Lending? How can investor earn from that?
Yep but even there are a few scammers, you should ask for collaterall.

there is a lending section in forum.

Try by your own risk

First of all I think btcjam site is good for lending because it gives some security. Secondly this forum is also good in other way if you provide a loan to trustworthy member. Thirdly always give smaller amount of loans it will be safe.
Fourthly lending is risky thing

Thanks
