Personally I'd steer well clear of all cloud mining, if it sounds too good to be true then it's probably a scam.

If in doubt, hodl.

I would suggest using BTC rather than "investing" in bitcoin. It is not an investment and you are not likely to do anything but loose your money. You buy some bitcoin then spend it online. The way God and Satoshi meant it to be. lol

You will likely not make a mentionable profit, and maybe not even break even because of the difficulty rises. Not worth it IMO.

People who invested in November in cloud mining are getting ROI now and all the revenue they will get from now on is pure profit.
Cloud mining is very risky because you are trusting people you don't know but when it goes well, you can profit.
There were many cloudmining companies which turned out to be a scam and many users have lost their money. Since the BTC price is much lower now, the maintenance fees per gh is much higher than before and profit would be much less.

Anyone who wastes money on cloudmining deserves the losses they'll get.

Do you say the same thing about exchanges?

If the exchange is not reputable, not transparent and lack basic security features then yes.
Every exchanges can get 'hacked', example Bitstamp got their hot wallet hacked which resulted in a massive loss, so did bter. No exchange is safe, always keep your bitcoins within your control.

Yes, as exchanges should never be used to store money. deposit, trade and then withdraw.

Hey there, I would like to invest into bitcoin, any good website to earn good money/btc ?

Actually I've made a profit on hashprofit cloud mining service, but the only down side is that you can't withdraw/sell khs for the next 3 months, well yes, you can, but there will be a 20% fee.

Also, stay away from cex.io.
So can anyone share the numbers, like investment (with short description of resources involved) - profit - time of investment. I would be interested just in the range of values, the exact numbers are not needed, if you don't want to. Myself, I am quite sceptical if cloud mining can be profitable at all, if we are talking about the time window up to 6 months, right?

cloudminr.io seems to be good.

it received the maximum scam odd in the cloudmining 101 topic:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cloudmining-101-ponzi-risk-assessment-878387

read and take your own conclusions

cloudmining 101 is a good thread to learn more about cloud mining and be prudent.

I have 70GH/s on BitcoinCloudServices, they are a legit cloud mining service.

Just wondering, don't you have any proof that they pay well ? Because the only thing I see about them over the internet is 70% scam and 30%... ads ?

Some cloud minings went bankrupt or run with the money. As a result their former clients are now trolling cloud mining threads, calling the whole idea a scam.
I don't know if BCS is legit or not, but cloud mining isn't profitable at the moment and there are as many scams as legit operations.

The same can be said of most other bitcoin investments.

Try Hashnest.com - they are mining and are trustworthy - here is tread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/hashnest-discussion-and-support-thread-766448

I would suggest you to wait a bit before investing into cloud mining... That said, I don't mean to say that don't get into BTC, you can trade and earn, or can even arbitrage... Also, if you want some free BTC, you can try bit-vortex.com, it's a non-stop faucet...

This page sir is not working correct! Do not paid properly! We wait for answer in original thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/no-time-limit-bit-vortex-faucet-923385

I checked there and it seems to be working fine... Also, I got paid there 2 times... But have stopped since 3 days now... So, don't know what's wrong there...

Hey there, I would like to invest into bitcoin, any good website to earn good money/btc ?
IMO there is no good cloudmining services atm. it is not profitable so the good ones stoped mining

search cloudmining 101 in this forum and you will find a good topic on cloudmining services and scam ones

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cloudmining-101-ponzi-risk-assessment-878387 - Cloudmining 101
If you been here since last year, you'll know that most of cloudmining out there is not doing real mining. Mostly they use ponzi scheme to run their business. Even big website like pbmining and Zencloud(GAW) have been showing a bad sign.
yes, that is the topic i meant.
from all of them, the one that i used so far is CEX.IO and i liked it because you can buy and sell GHS at any time, which can also be profitable
sadly it is paused due to mining being unprofitable atm

It was an example, but yeah, since I'm a newbie I should consider being careful.

hem hem...

ok..
you are a newbe...

but you can also see how many threads there are,
where the mantra is:

"mining today is not convenient"
"cloud mining it is a waste of money/time"
"invest directly in btc rather then in mining rig"

In Canadian Dollars, the price of a Bitcoin 2 days ago was like 364$ and now it's 331, based on Preev Rates.
I'll probably just send all of my BTC's on bter.com and wait for the prices to go up, then sell. Then buy when it's cheaper.

edit: Yup, i'll do that, just realised that cloud mining was not a really good way to make btc's. Gambling either.

If you don't know what you're doing, you're very likely to lose your money this way.

If buying low and selling high was that easy, everyone would be rich by now.

There's plenty of people who bought 'cheap' at $700 and still waiting for price rise (or the other way around). There's no guaranteed average price.

Just look at bter.com, when the price of DOGE/BTC is at -10%, just buy some for 5 btc(example) and when it goes back to 0% or even +1.25% (Happens every 3 to 12 days) Pam, made 11.25% profit, you now have 5.56 BTC. More than 100$ profit. But you have to be damn lucky to make 11.25% profit, the more I made was yesterday for a test, the prices got to -10% and I sold back at -3.75%, but I only took for 0.225 btc, so it's not a really high profit.

This forum is full of people who got burnt by doing that. It seems like a system but it's nothing more than a gambling. You're betting on that there will be no permanent price decline.

DOGE was once steady at 200 satoshi, when it fell below, many were convinced that it will go back. Think about that.
