an autonomous entity has escaped form a super secret scientific research facility and is now propagating itself in the wild. the entity is able to infect the mind due to its intense shininess. once infected the subject is motivated into showing it to others. the entity is non-physical giving it the ability to move at the speed of light. the entity has a code like the dna in a virus. the entity is an idea with wheels and gears like a machine.

i'm sorry i drifted off there, what was that about bitcom being a scam?

In my opinion Bitcoin is a big scam which created by drug dealers, hackers, illegal money resources. We buy bitcoin to sell it.  It likes gambling. Everyone wants to make money easly. But there is no way to make money with buy bitcoin. We just beleive it and pray like the religion. Nobody really knows how to work bitcoin system. It is just there is a thing that value XXX or XXXX. But need to realize that we do that. There is no real thing.

I am lucky because I quit bitcoin buy and sell.

Do not angry me it is reality. I respect if you agree or disagree.

No I'm not angry at you but maybe a little sad for you, because you do not understand bitcoin that you're so quick to dismiss it. If you truly understand bitcoin, you wouldn't call it a scam, because it really does not make any sense. It's like calling gravity a scam, just makes no literal sense. Just because you don't understand how it works doesn't mean "nobody really knows how to work bitcoin system". But I don't blame you because not everyone has the capability to understand all the workings of the world we live in. If you feel that you are much happier and less stressed after leaving bitcoin, more power to you. We don't necessarily have to believe what others believe, and we don't necessarily have to convince others to believe what we believe.

Yes, it is a big scam. Thanks for your confirmation. Bitcoin was created by a genius colombian drug lord who named himself Satoshi to cover his tracks. He phoned me personally to warn me against day trading and start mining drugcartelcoin.

You should send me all your coins. I will help you get out of bitcoin before it is too late  Cheesy

all money is faith..

read an american bank note

"in god we trust"
I'm not sure which bullshit concept gives me worse nausea, trust-notes from amerikan bankz or god.

I think I'll go with fiat. Fiat disgusts me more deeply than god, because religion is already on its way out, while fiat kurrency has years of fighting left in it.

Basically, all USD in existence is money created out of debt. Every single dollar and penny. The U.S treasury literally makes money out of thin air electronically..Not to mention the entire U.S economy is based upon a ponzi scheme.

It's important to say it's worldwide case with every fiat currency out there, not just USD. Hence that's why Chinese and Russians too are fighting Bitcoin because it converts sick economy to healthy one.

Your logic is based on that it only has a value because we think it does? Just like all other sorts of currency? The Tinkerbell effect?
It doesn't prove anything. I'll take your Bitcoins as well if you don't want them, but then again I suppose you don't have a lot, or else you wouldn't hate it. Smiley

When I wire transfer $1000 from one bank account to another, I don't understand what is going on. It makes no sense to me because I thought dollars consisted of paper money, not digital currency. But apparently my American bank account is full of 'digital currency.' I just push the button to transfer the cash and "beleive it and pray like the religion" that it gets where I'm sending it. That sounds identical to bitcoin.

Yes, except you can borrow dollars from bank that never existed before. Now try this with Bitcoin.

It is just there is a thing that value XXX or XXXX. But need to realize that we do that. There is no real thing.

Can you hold an mp3 file in your hand?  And I don't mean the device that stores the mp3 file (ipod, flash disk, hard drive, etc).

Can you hold the information on your computer monitor in your hand? Sure, you can pick up your monitor, but if it gets unplugged or turned-off, *poof* there went that info on the screen.

Can you hold in your hand the ledger that a bank keeps in digital format to keep track of your bank account?  Sure, you can get a printout, keep a pen-and-paper ledger, etc.  But, you can't hold that bank account in your hands, because it is ELECTRONIC.

My point is:

With the invention and adoption of technology in time in which we exist, MANY MANY things in our life exist only as bits, minute electrical signals on wires and in devices, yet we have completely adopted these things into our daily lives.  If you could go back 250 years and showed those people credit and debit cards, fractional reserve banking, etc, YOU WOULD BLOW THEIR MINDS.

I guess the OP's mind has been blown.

Do not angry me it is reality. I respect if you agree or disagree.

It's really not a matter about agreeing or disagreeing.  I'm just not sure you understand the difference between an opinion and a guess.

You can have an opinion that Bitcoin is bad or good, but 'opinion' is irrelevant to things like whether it's a scam, who it's created by, etc.

It seems nobody here really knows who created it, but we do know that the code is open-source and can be demonstrably proven to not be a scam.  If someone creates a scam using Bitcoin, then the scam is the scam, not Bitcoin.

You're also demonstrably wrong that there is no way to make money buying BTC.  I bought, I made money, so you're demonstrably wrong there, too.  There is nothing to have an opinion about, here.

Comparing Bitcoin to religion is absurd.  I assume you mean that people pray for the price to go up just like people pray to God and hope for a positive outcome.  What do you think 'any' investor 'anywhere' does?  They buy into an investment because they believe the price will go up, and they pray/hope it does.   When you ask a girl out on a date, you pray/hope she says yes.  When you apply for a job, you pray/hope you get hired.  Your analogy is entirely useless.

"It" likes gambling?  Who?  Bitcoin?  Do you think Bitcoin is a person or something?   Huh

I know how to "work bitcoin system."  I've never been scammed, hacked, or anything, and every transaction I've ever made has been flawless and more cost-effective than traditional payment systems.

Regarding your comment that "there is no real thing," what do you mean by "real"?  Do you mean something needs to be physical to have value or be real?  If that's what you believe, and if you are correct (hint: you're not), then it follows that your thoughts and opinions aren't real, thereby rendering this entire thread useless.

I think the United States could get out of debt if it simply stopped spending so much money.
For whatever reason there seems to be complete apathy
when it comes to balancing the budget.  Maybe that is on purpose.
It used to all really bother me, but now that I have some bitcoins,
I don't care what they do their stupid currency.

the governments wont stop buying things. for these reasons
1. its not their debt. no  MP, senator, governor is saying they owe money, they say 'the peoples debt' making them not personally liable
2. if they buy large buildings. houses, warehouses filled with many years of food, water and ammo. then when the dollar crashes they can still run the country. so buying crap 'the people dont need like enough warships, missiles and planes to survive 25 years of war, is in their interest
3. they know they cant repay the debt so they might aswell profit from it, and then make it obsolete.

i know many people in credit card debt, that before claiming bankruptcy, they get more credit and buy things, hide it all.. and then claim bankruptcy, knowing they can live the high life and not repay.

this is what the governments are doing, on a grander scale

National debt & household debt are not the same thing.  In macro economics, you can have debt as big as you want as long as the debt is denominated in the currency you can print.  Japan's debt is 300% of their GDP.  The worst thing for people is unemployment not debt

It likes gambling.

First of all, learn some basic English. Secondly, yes, I agree that there are some dice/gambling sites etc, but gambling exists with fiat currencies too. So I don't understand where is the problem with that. If you don't want to gamble, then don't. And bitcoin is not gambling. Gambling is ~0.5% of bitcoin. Maybe less

This makes be chuckle. Trading stocks is a gambling, yet it is a globally accepted norm. In fact, everything in life is a gamble. Taking out student loans for college is gambling. Driving your car down the street is gambling. Even just going to the mall is a gamble because I could get infected with a nasty virus that someone there might be carrying. But, in my opinion, gambling is what makes life enjoyable.

Ok, I meant gambling in bitcoin like dice games etc. Of course bitcoin is a gamble then

Honestly, I understand bitcoin a lot better than the global e-commerce banking system.
