The price only dropped just over 10%, how are people speculating its dead !!!!

I want bitcoin do drop 90% so i can buy more !! even then it won't be dead

it depend if it drop to 90% for 1 day only, maybe it can still recover, if it is for too long it will be died yes, since basically any big farm is forced to shut down

which mean that a random dude, that before was struggling to get anything with his poor hash, can attack the network easily

Bitcoin will never die unless everyone stops mining, bitcoin regulates itself, price drops, mining difficulty drops and viceversa, only if everyone stopped mining bitcoin would be truly dead, otherwise it's not. Not even if it's worth 1$. A few years ago bitcoin was worth that amount and people were using it with no problems.

I do think Mike Hearn took a chance with his wallet and career, it didn't pan out how he sold people it would, and now is basically rage quiting etc.  However he does make some solid points.  In my region it is a concern that the Chinese government could threaten the three largest pools and directly or indirectly control the BTC consensus.  No one talks about this massive third party trust risk, we need to figure this out one way or another.

This is another fabricated drama to push the price of Bitcoin down by creating panic and the whale to accumulate once again at cheap prices and then after some weeks again let the things to become normal which help to increase the price and take good profit. There are not some other way to drive the price downwards without help of these dramas. All will be over once again like always.

And they're doing it perfectly. Nothing new,in everything there's always those big ones always find ways to manipulate things to make it beneficial to them like those whales in the bitcoin world.

exchangers are manipulating the market. it's obvious. Smiley

Okay so the main problem is that the size of the TX files is getting too big for the network to handle and the cap must be raised? Why is this not being fixed like right now?

the problem is the trust in a manipulated market. fake volumes, in a supposed decentralized market ALL the exchangers have the same price. How is come? Smiley  Nobody is asking itself. "hey, the BTC is not a centralized stock market. How is it possible that all the exchangers (the big ones) to have almost the same price for Bitcoin while they certainly they don't have a "the same" order book."

Mike Hearn was a VERY close friend with many BTC investors, exchangers, miners. He knows a lot of dirty "secrets" from the BTC market; who owns it, who manipulate it. So, I would rather trust someone like him than any BTC media like Coindesk who "was" owned by the same investors who owned BTC exchangers... so they have MANY interests.

Mike Hearn: ". Bitcoin has no future whilst it’s controlled by fewer than 10 people"

selling is a smart choice if you see the boat is sicking. you limit the losses and you can wait for eventually better times.

Robo ATM closed, Cryptsy ran with millions, a BTC developer(very closed to many investors, exchange owners, miners) is saying many real things about what's going on inside of BTC.

"Bitcoin has no future whilst it’s controlled by fewer than 10 people"   VERY true!

Its a bad week for bitcoin, but i am sure bitcoin will not die, its just minor set back

hopefully bitcoin can rise quickly

Yeah lets hope for the best as we believe that the value of bitcoin will climb up, but I don't think that bitcoin will ever die, it will keep on fluctuating at a regular interval, but that is the fact attached with bitcoin, and it is not new for the bitcoin users we all are used to it now, So if there is a price fall there would be price rise for sure.

Bitcoin is definitely not dead. Have you seen the price??  Huh Huh Huh Huh  $370. I am pretty sure it is still alive.

Exactly, bitcoin is still alive and it will be alive for many years to come, and the price is increasing in the recent months and I am sure it will reach to a new level in the coming months, so coming to any decision at present is not the right move to make, we need to wait and I am sure that bitcoin will offer us some great value in the future.
