If you are referring to this correction, it doesn't indicate the death of Bitcoin. I'd like to address the ever-increasing pending transactions though.

I just checked and man, it is unbelievable. I wonder if people would wait for a week just to get their transactions confirmed. That would really suck and make Bitcoin look bad.

Fees are quite insane at the moment. But this is down to greedy miners and inexperienced users. SW and LN will make things better but also when miners realise that the value of their BT holdings will tank if they don't reduce their mining profit margins they will do something to help lower fees.

This drop in the price of bitcoin could be attributed to massive dump as Christmas approaches a lot of sellers and panicked seller had joined the train, but the major problem now is scalability of bitcoin this is one of the major problem of blockchain technology presently there many unconfirmed transactions in the network which prompted higher fees I think it's high time this problem is solved else bitcoin will died as mentioned by the OP.

No never bitcoin is not dead .Today the value of bit coin is very low.I think the bit coin value will not go below 10000 $.This is not the time to sell the Bit coin.Bit coin value does not fall apart a little bit. If the Bit coin is retained then the value can be sold when it rises. In the next week, its growth will come back to the old state.

Bitcoin value today really sucks as much as I would like to believe it will recover soon seeing how it crash breaks my heart and starting to take away my hopes. We've been experiencing drop in bitcoin value before but not this far from almost $19000 it drops to $13000. I am now starting to believe bitcoin will die. So bad that I didn't convert my bitcoin when the price is good and now I don't have any choice but to hold and keep waiting for a miracle to happen

Despite the unacceptable high transactions fees we cant just conclude that bitcoin is dead.Bitcoin is just gathering momentum to rise up.As at today(friday) several altcoins have also dipped drastically. After correction btc will bounce back .Keep calm and hold your bitcoins

A couple days ago I posted here because of a transaction stuck in the void for which I paid 30 dollars fee.
Now, one hour ago, I sent a transaction with a 130 dollars fee.
ONE HOUR, STILL ZERO TRANSACTIONS, 130 DOLLARS FEE.
I'm sorry to write this, but Bitcoin is DEAD.
I've been a defender of it up until now, but we've gone too far.
Who the hell is going to buy Bitcoin when the word will spread?
When people will try to get their Bitcoins from the exchanges, they'll meet this reality, and Bitcoin will be dead in DAYS, after the word will begin spreading.
Just please don't go on BCH, let's try to move onto better technologies like Byteball.
BTW can anyone tell me what should I pay to move my Bitcoins now?
I have now 4 Bitcoins stuck in the void.

The greed of the miners and their ability to manipulate means two thing for me: This coin is no longer decentralised and therefore is not secure. Second, the miners do not believe themselves in Bitcoin long term, as they are killing it.

if you don't believe BTC anymore and want to buy or give your 4BTC left, I'll take it right now

OK then, if you believe in it so much, I'll give you 2 BTC for 15000 dollars. They are at a global average of 14000 dollars at the moment.
But you trust Bitcoin so much, it shouldn't be a problem, right? It will go up, so...

Everyone facing the same problem but I think the problem will be resolved after the hard fork,so don't panic and sell your bitcoins. If you have money then buy more bitcoins because the price is cheaper now and it will bump soon after that fork which will happen on Dec 28.

Which hard fork?

Bitcoin is not yet dead. Though its price, transaction fees and processing time is something that has been bothering me. I still believe that bitcoin will last at least 5 years.

Use another faster coin for transactions, Litecoin, Ripple. Bitcoins, use more as an common asset. Today, there is a wide range of ways to get around expensive bitcoin commissions.

LTC, in my opinion is the go to coin for everyone. Especially at it's current price point.  Faster, cheaper transactions, dependable old coin from an honest founder.  I think soon it'll triple in value.

Pushing people to support byteball? Bitcoin isn't dead and will never be dead, confirmations are taking so long because people are still buying it and there's a big demand on it so there's no doubt that bitcoin is still kicking and alive. The fact about bitcoin as a way to transfer payments and we are all inconveniently accepting these high fees and it's everyone's problem that we've been dealing with it. But wait for it, lightning network will settle everything and bitcoin will be great again.

"Never"... that word should NEVER be used.
Byteball is a RADICALLY different algorithm that solves the problem of scalability at the base.
Sure, it needs extensive testing, but it deserves to be tested.
Bitcoin on the other hand has reached AGAIN a complete congestion time, and its network is probably under spam attack.
This exposes an intolerable weakness.
And if you know how the LN works, you understand that it won't be the final solution either.
In case you don't know how the LN works, here's an interesting article: https://medium.com/@homakov/why-lightning-and-raiden-networks-will-not-work-d1880e4bc294
And no I am not "pushing" for Byteball, I have invested on around 30 altcoins, and IOTA uses a similar Network Algorithm.
I am not here to make advertising, just saying mine after showing that there's something wrong going on in Bitcoin, and believe me, I'm really sorry for this, but it seems it took too long to Bitcoin to change and update its protocol, and it's making the end of Netscape: didn't keep up with competition and evolution of the technology.
Oh, and the price is tanking and my 4 BTC are stuck in shit and I can't exchange them.
Why shouldn't I use the word never? I'm a bitcoin believer and there's nothing wrong for me to say that thing. And you can also use that with byteball. I have nothing against byteball and I have witnessed it great gains for the whole time. Every coin that will experience congestion means that they are crowded and look on how ETH is experiencing that thing too and it can possibly happen to other alts too. Every time there are problems that are existing and there's a solution coming up for it, that may not be the final solution but always there will be.
