once I read the thread title, I remembered what happen when that developer announced that bitcoin is dead and the price went down for more than $100 in two days or more just because the panic selling he cause. I wonder if he still on his opinion or he realized he was wrong

Of course he was wrong and his statement didn't make any difference to the true believers of bitcoin as they continued to invest their money in bitcoin and now we all are seeing the outcome.

Yes, that line "bitcoin is dead" already announced multiple times yet bitcoin is still alive and keeps increasing its price as time pass by. A lot of believers and supporters of bitcoin are everywhere so it's really impossible that bitcoin will die.

Bitcoin Classic rolls out, and days later there is no word about it in the News Media.

Mike Hearn declares Bitcoin dead and within hours it is in the New York Times.....
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/17/business/dealbook/the-bitcoin-believer-who-gave-up.html

Mark my words: Bitcoin is getting ready to be in a fight for it's life.

On one side are the Blockstream/Core players.  Liars, manipulators, shill, not afraid to destroy the fabric of Bitcoin with every bit of FUD they can dredge up - even if it kills bitcoin, but if they can't have total control, no one can.

On the other side you have Mike Hearn w/R3CEV/Hyperledger/Banks (AND Mainstream Media & Govt backing - don't forget that!)

We are at the start of a foot race to see who gets ready forst for the upcoming global financial meltdown.

It's pretty clear that Bitcoin Classic will prevail in the upcoming March Fork given the huge amount of support / concensus for it.  But Blockstream seems to wat to make this a do or die fight, and they appear to be willing to destroy the good name of bitcoin if they don't get their way.  The looming battle may be the perfect backdrop of confusion and chaos for a Fiat Coin to rise from the shadows, and with the help of Gov't & Media nods - be introduced to the masses.

Fasten your seatbelts kiddies.... this is going to be a wild ride.  Right now I am betting 50% on Classic / 50% on Fiat Coin.  Current 1mb Blockstream/Core Coin not even worth mentioning in my opinion.  I see 0.001%.
Lol! That always happens. Media and social networking sites are way too fast to claim that a coin is dead but never raise their voice when there is a positive change. Bitcoin cannot be dead so soon. It has always regained its position; however, I would say that there are other coins that we should focus on right now including, prg which has a great chance of rising.

Bitcoin isnt bad and that is bad to see that there are a lot of people that is saying that and to see that there are a lot if people that is negative about the Bitcoin. and he would be really shocked to see the present growth of bitcoin and that is the best way to answer the critics.

High fees = low BTC price
June 20, 2018, 06:05:25 PM
Silly miner got too greedy and killed it when they put fees up to $55 per transaction and lost all that trust that had taken years to build up

Yes it's going to die, house cleaning if you like but then something much more modern will rise from the ashes but i think it will be wrapped in in a type of AI
that will be sold as a service to finance the mining fees.

Such statements had just made panic among users and few left it without hope, but now they truly realize and accept the potential of bitcoin.

If we have faith in the potential of bitcoin then I think we should not listen to the people around us, as we know that bitcoin will be more powerful in future.

I wish Hearn was more of a Twitter personality. His twitter is rather boring place now: https://twitter.com/OctSkyward

Apparently, he is now developing apps for block chains, you can find more info here: https://medium.com/@octskyward/developing-apps-for-block-chains-1635cd05b47#.fso51gybe

I would like to hear some comments about current state of Bitcoin from him.

The capacity to include more transactions in the main chain has to be increased, otherwise, not many people will use it.

If there is no transaction capacity increase in the next 2 years, the bitcoin will be dead as another coin will replace it.

Sock puppets accounts back at it with the FUD.
So Bitcoin will be dead because not many people will use it, just like gold is dead because no one uses it to pay for stuff right?
Get real, Bitcoin is gold 2.0, not fiat 2.0. The fiat part will be covered with Lightning protocol anyway. We don't care about your retarded mindless FUD.

What an idiot this guy is. Not only he claims Bitcoin is Dead, which is absurd since the fundamentals are looking better than ever since months ago, way before he said so, but he sells his coins cheap as hell, and then months later the price is near doubled. When will they learn?

bitcoin is not dead at all. bitcoin is flying and is on its top position. i think bitcoin is the king of crypto currencies in present time. it will make a record. i think its future is quite bright.

It's funny to makes threads like this showing up in the main screen again.
He was wrong and i don't think he meant. It was his way to warn the community some change needs to be happening for bitcoin to grow and the network become stable again.

Now the price did boost a lot and it makes it less important, which is sad.

Yeah the future of bitcoin is really incredible and it will never die so easily, as it will grow in coming  years as more and more users will start entering into the world of bitcoin.

well this is pretty old news, and when he said that, he created huge panic across bitcoins users so they started to sell their bitcoins so price fell down very quickly

but today price is 700$ so i think that bitcoin is not dead and it won't be dead soon, actually i think that he said that only to get a chance to get cheaper bitcoins for himself
