Bitcoin has been through some stuff now with the fork, and there are a lot of projects incoming that will further influence its price. You have for example CME that will soon start trading futures of bitcoin, which means that many institutional investors will all of the sudden be interested in bitcoin. It will give as well the option to short bitcoin, which is great news because many exchanges don't offer shorting, and that's the only way to bet against Bitcoin if you are not a believer. It will be interesting to see how things will develop with CME, but fact is that it will majorly influence the price, it might already be accounted in the current price, which is about seven thousand, but till December there are so many more things that can happen.

There's always a possibility for other altcoins getting up and vice versa. For me this condition is really annoying. You can imagine how annoying it is when we'd like to sell our altcoins because of a high price,  but the bitcoin's price show a low rate. Then we will immediately change our mind. That's crypto world.

There are too many sons of bitcoin, and as we can see the sons grow up quickly, I think it is not a good news for the crypto market.
well, there are too many coins that want to be like bitcoin. but most of them follow ethereum, because the price is stable. well, but like altcoin prices will actually go up if bitcoin prices decrease.

Theoretically it is like that way, when the primary coin is low then it will follow that alternative coins will rise, but based in the history of bitcoin it is only temporal. Still bitcoin holds the position of being on top. Moreover, holding altcoins either bitcoin's vale drop or rises really matters less as long as you are holding a good altcoin.

This year we got so many new cryptocurrencies on the market that it is really hard to keep track of all what happens in the space. Only people with a lot of funds can spread their money enough to avoid taking losses in alts. But I believe as there are so many new coins out, now most of them are still in a bargain phase, so in 2018 most of them will appreciate nicely in price, as far as they can deliver something. The projects that just collected millions via ICO and dont even know how to produce their product, will fail of course. Always remember: only 1 out of 10 startup survives the first year. We will see how this turns to be true in crypto very, very soon.

I also had time to feel it before.. friend, nothing is impossible if we really sure of one thing. Already had proven now all is back to the green, Bitcoin and Altcoins indeed was proved very appropriate for investing in it. The decline has proven it was only temporary, and I'm also sure of it before.. it will be back on the green. It seems looks at nowadays more opportunities to gain profits is very wide open for us on investing Wink

Bitcoin is gaining strength again after segwit2x and I think this coming year the price will go to $10k. This ups and downs will happen anytime and nothing to worry.
Usually when bitcoin down altcoins up, when btc down the best time to buy btc ofcourse. I think also bitcoin price will reach $10k soon. So the best moment when btc down is hold and dont get panic btc will be back at its price to rise.

Bitcoin is a deal maker of all of the  cryptocurrency. Bitcoin stability will provided an environment for many alt to grow in value and have great volume as a result of calm atmosphere. Bitcoin cash is just a pump nothing more.

Don't worry guys. If one coin increase the other coin will decrease. I think that all is usual. We must wait and believe that bitcoin will be rising again  Wink
From my opinion, if ETH gets pumped even a little bit, all these altcoins will have the pump at the same time, mainly because the value to dollars increase while actually the value exchanged to ETH remains the same. So it's atleast good for altcoins holders who want to cash out to fiat but not for those who expect to convert it to ETH or other altcoins. But still, a good green market for a day.

Right now, BTC is trading in the $6,800-7,000 range, which is around 3% lower than the rates we were having before the SegWit2X cancellation. But even now BTC is having around 53% market share of the crypto market capitalization. If you include its clones (BCH and BTG), then this proportion rises to 65%. Actually it is the BTC which is going up, against the alts.

In this case, the drop of bitcoin is caused by other reasons than before, but we already see that some altas, including the etherium, are rising in price. This is a good sign. Recently, bitcoin has risen very sharply and this has caused some concern. In the situation with the rising cost of bitcoin cash, I see positive moments that should lead to some elimination of the shortcomings of bitcoin, or it will fall in price even further.

Loosely speaking there is kind of such a relationship, people want to get out of bitcoin when its crashing and they move their money to alts and so alts pump. We will not see similar to bitcoin cash however because that is a very unique circumstance, other alts are not such a good alternative as bitcoin cash is.

It is happening already, Before BTG/S2X we saw a big jump on Bitcoin's price and a bloody hell of price on AltCoins which means people transferred their money into BTC to get free coins, Bitcoin's price dip after the cancellation of S2X with that same time we saw some alt's are impressively increased their prices and some of them are back now.

The BCH price jump is a different story, it is caused (we'll probably) by Big Whales to attack Bitcoin and create a FUD and illusion that BCH is more superior on BTC. As of now the dip on BCH is happening and BTC is now slowly on an uptrend movement, and also Alts are now on an uptrend movement.

As you can see the clear loser here is the BCH.
