I understand the intention but the analogy is flawed. The bitcoins live in the blockchain, it would be more correct to say, "the cloud". Wallets are, not really wallets, they never hold money. What they hold is keys that let you in control of such money. Therefore a wallet is like a terminal for a remote computer. When you get bitcoin, you are simply given control of them.
Because of this, losing the wallet never loses the money, it only loses the keys that let you control it. So if you have "backup keys", you can still control them using a brand new wallet just fine, unlike a real wallet with money that gets lost.

Absolutely, downloading is only one way to access their bitcoin through a bitcoin wallet. If all can be downloaded including bitcoin, people are already rich, even mining is not as easy as downloading software from the internet.

if money can be downloaded, many people will do it, then there will be hyper inflation, and money is no longer valuable
Well every time I log onto my PC I consider it a real miracle and the biggest life-changing thing that ever happened to me was the Internet, then the 2nd greatest thing was the Blockchain. I am fifty-three years old and have seen a few technological advances in my time, but nothing as great as these two so far. Soon AI also will bring huge changes in our lives, but it's true, owning Bitcoin now is a bit like downloading money from our computer because I can sit at home or be on my mobile phone and have access to Bitcoin and other Digital Currencies. We really need to appreciate this more and more and give it the true value it deserves.

Yeah this is truth. This thread got a decent amount of clueless answers.
Blockchain technology can be downloaded and used and also more features created, this is done mostly by developers but Bitcoin is decentralized. So you cannot have it all. People with a lot of money or resources can't, even more us.

We don't download bitcoin. We may down the App. But every one has a participation that grants them each bitcoin they acquire. Bitcoin wallet may be downloaded too. Even the bank keep their account record on the system and that doesn't mean the money was downloaded. Well, you may download yours as an example.
There are earning sites that let you earn a few cents by downloading apps, clicking or watching ads. But that is way different from how bitcoin functions. I hope OP understand Bitcoin as technology and bitcoin as a currency.

It seems to me that this is all our future. In order to download Bitcoin on our campaigns, they need to be very powerful. And now not everyone can afford it.
mining btc with the pc is different to download movies and music and much more complex and difficult are needed very powerful computers dedicated graphics cards and there is always the risk of merging the pc and we have to deal with the cost of electricity i think today only a few still succeed withs this(mining), but the idea itself is fantastic to produce from nothing or almost something of value(btc/altcoins)...
Does this work like faucet or something like that. Reading the page, I kept being doubtful what this could be, that bitcoin is downloaded to PC, that will definitely be a miracle to happen. 
Meh this is the first time I'm hearing something like download Bitcoin or money from the internet. With my knowledge I just know that people can download various wallets to store in their bitcoins. Another thing which is slightly similar is Bitcoin mining.
I think you may right since mining can be compare as downloading money. You need a good internet connection for downloading same as you need for mining. But internet is not everything because you need power full pc too with some GPU.
It is different use if you have mining rigs and personal computer, of course, I won't do mining in my personal computer rather than I have to buy mining rigs which are the high spec for GPU and can able to mine bitcoin that OP was mean that downloading money. Bitcoin is easy to adopt if you have gadgets and internet then, you have to earn a possibly huge amount of money. I must prefer to download wallet into my personal computer just like electrum to received my money via bitcoin and convert into the fiat when it is needed. That's what the meaning of OP's analogy.

if course you can download money into your PC, but you need a high spec computer if you want to get a big money, its name is mining, you can try to mining bitcoin and mining cryptocurrency that you want, after that you can sell it in market and voila you can get the money (Download money from the internet)
The topic is not making nay sense. You're downloading wallets not downloading money. The process of getting money online is the transferring of it. So, wallet are transferring btc to another wallet.
I do not understand the technical aspects So if I'm wrong, people will correct me. People download the wallets, they do not download bitcoin. People mining bitcoin, they do not download bitcoin.

He is comparing BTC mining to downloading of files on the internet. Yeah, he's saying they are related, in terms of using computers to get something. But I don't get his point, what is he really trying to tell us. There is no specific reason why he is comparing such. He just wants us to wonder and be amazed?But most of us are already amazed.
