What to expect? some FUD's and another Jamie Dimon bitcoin frauds statements and accusations for bitcoin, threads will be created entitled will you still hold or sell, articles from sophisticated authors saying bitcoin is popping out because it is a bubble, well the same thing happens but in the end, it will go up again let pass this holidays seasons the real game will be this 2018.
Looks like the Bitcoin just experienced a fall of $280, from one update to the next, on https://coinmarketcap.com. Anyone noticed this? It rebounded by about $60 with the next update.
The last week in crypto looked a lot like Steams winter sale!
It could be people wanna cash out on some holiday gifts for their family/loved ones, or some sort of price fix as bitcoin has been on the rise in these past few months. Long term if you hold bitcoin you have nothing to worry about.
I still maintain that bitcoin downward price is due to the holiday period. I believe it will bounce back in the coming week. A lot of traders sold their bitcoins prio to the holiday season hence the sharp downward trend since last two weeks.
Yes this is absolutely right because of holiday season people are performing a panic selling this is normal for me and bitcoin are volatility every second minute and hours theres a changes in price.

I will buy a bit of bitcoin and will hold it until its value improves again. I'm sure it is, because bitcoin is a long-term investment, although today it's going down again in the future.
So far, the fate of bitcoin will depend on how quickly and successfully it will introduce a network of lightning, which should eliminate the existing shortcomings of bitcoin. If such implementation is successful, then the shaken confidence in bitcoin will be restored and it will quickly continue its interrupted growth of over $ 20,000 and, possibly, exceed the most optimistic forecasts about its value. If this does not happen, bitcoin, most likely, in the near future can bypass the most successful coins and it will cease to be the leader of the crypto currency.

I think that it will be BTC flat soon: 10-15k $. At present it is better to be more careful with BTC buyings. Currently altcoins have more oppotunity to grow up

I think one of the reason is most of the people will cash out some of their bitcoin to enable to spend some during these holiday season. Charts says in bitcoin dot org shows that there are huge amount of transaction several weeks ago. Thus the price decrease because there are more people who want to sell rather than to buy. History shows that during December and January bitcoin price did not move upwards, but after those months the price will again skyrocketed. Thus I think this is just normal, it happened every year for almost four years by now.

Bitcoin is droping and would still drop but while it drops many people will invest and buy bitcoin. Because the lower the price of bitcoin the higher will be the revenue of the coin when price rise back. Keep on monitoring the price of bitcoin in order not to get delayed on the forks of bitcoin.
Exactly. It was a very high price. Highest ever. It is natural that it is now falling. The same was when the split at BCH was coming. The price in March 2018 should be growing again.
We all now by now that with the high volatility of Bitcoin the prices go up and down all the time. But we also must admit that 20K still is a difficult hurdle to take. With the whales cashing out we see the price drop to 12.5K recently. The price could go even lower to 11K, this will then be the start of a new uptrend and next year March bitcoin could hit 30K.
There has been a lot of profit taking, but we should not lose sight of the bigger picture. There is a lot of jostling amongst cryptocurrencies for a bigger market share. When a new investor who tries to use bitcoin finds out that other currencies have lower fees and are easier to use, they might migrate to altcoins. That could be a hurdle for Bitcoin to cross $20k again quickly.
Bitcoin is in a cannon. It's dripping down to the bottom of the cannon and waiting. Then boom and Bitcoin gets shit off into the air to the moon. So that is why there is such a drop. Believe in the Bitcoin. Be the Bitcoin. Bitcoin is life so never doubt it. Bitcoin will go to a million. Ya ya you say not? Well what would you say when bitcoin was less then a cent and I told you it would be worth thousands? You will say the same thing. So watch patience friends patients.

It is not a problem or a big issue to discuss because Bitcoin is unstoppable and will again reach to its height. Everyone around here are just worrying about its falling but when it is high to the sky then nobody is sharing his/her happiness. Its new year guys just be happy and hope for something good to happen.

No problem. It is just an adjustment of the market at the end of this year. You should not be too worried. Let hold and wait until it recovers
I'm surprised nobody mention the slow transactions and high fees of bitcoin. Give me a reason why it should bounce back to $20000 with issues like these?
Unless lightning network update for bitcoin is released expect a downwards price trend in bitcoin and upwards for Alts especially ripple.

Just look at Bitcoin's evolution on CoinMarketCap and you will understand that this is not the only important drop of Bitcoin. That's it's way of rising: 2 step forward, 1 step backwards. I don't think this drop if a panic reason as most probable Bitcoin will raise again by the beginning of January.
I think everybody investing in Crypto market assumed that the market is volatile. (volatile = increasing and/or decreasing) So, why crying like babies when facing (more or less) normal fluctuations?
